  1. With my low mileage on my Z71, I'm still on the factory filter. When it's due for a change, I will do the AC Delco High Capacity air filter #A1518C (K47)
  2. I will be changing my tranny fluid at 50k-55k
  3. Factory tune. An after-market tune improves everything. I didn't believe it until I drove a friend's 2014 Silverado with a tune. I am doing a tune the day after my warranty expires.
  4. When it comes to any muscle car/truck, I want a stick so that I have full control of the shifts. I would only consider an automatic for a straight line 1/4 mile race vehicle.
  5. I agree on the lack of demand. In this day and age, sticks are only popular with muscle cars. In terms of a pickup, I would only want a stick if I were buying a 6.2L with the intention of building a beast with a super charger, long tube headers, etc.
  6. XRM15.....I'm not into lifts on pickups, but I have to admit that your 4.5" lift looks nice. It's kind of a happy medium between a standard Leveled truck and a 6" lifted truck, which look Mini Monster Truck-ish to me. Good choice!
  7. Comments like this are stupid. Saying after-market rims are Ghetto is as stupid as saying big 35" mud tires are Hill Billy. Just buy what you like and don't worry about what others lame opinions. Quality after-market wheels will work fine for you. My truck came with fairly nice 18" wheels. Once the tires wear out, I will probably be upgrading to 20" after-market (non-chrome) wheels, and wrapping them in some mildly aggressive All Terrains. To me, that's the perfect blend of looks and functionality. I personally could never put 22" wheels on a pickup truck. The selection of 22" All Terrains are limited, I don't want that much flash, and I want more cush to the ride. But to each his own...!!!
  8. I have a Double Cab, and would never buy a Regular Cab for a daily driver, but some of Regular Cabs do look really nice. They are the only variant that looks good lowered to me, both the current one's and the older C-10's. There's nothing like a Chevy low rider pickup done right.
  9. Interesting. Maybe I'll consider a Bilstein swap after the factory warranty expires.
  10. So the Z71 uses Rancho's "entry level" shock, which is crap, but Rancho also offers a high quality shock?
  11. I hear a lot of Rancho bashing, but nobody ever offers any specifics. What's so bad about Ranchos and what do Bilsteins offer over Ranchos?
  12. 2015 Silverado 1500 Z71 Double Cab LT 5.3L with factory 18" wheels. The only external accessories are Window Tint, Linex Bed Liner, and AVS Bug Shield. I would like to get some better looking after-market 20" wheels, but will probably wait until after I wear out these factory tires, as I hate to waste money. Borla Touring Dual Exhaust coming soon!
  13. 2015 Silverado 1500 Z71 5.3L Double Cab LT with stock 18" wheels. The only external accessories are Window Tint, Linex Bed Liner, and AVS Bug Shield. Borla Touring Dual Exhaust is coming soon. Daddy needs a little growl when he gets on the gas! Probably gonna wait on getting 20" wheels until I wear out these factory tires. I hate wasting money!
