  2. I have the resonator removed and flapper hose clamped open and get no drone. FYI clamped open flapper is slightly quiter thann flapper delete...........I have done em both and have decided to,leave mine as is so,when I tow my boat I can remove the clamp if it's too, loud
  3. What brand of custom tips are those ? They look nice!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. They are not that bad. My guess is it is more of an issue with the 3 step versus the 2 since they needs place for that 3rd step they may have inched up the other two. Make sense ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I had my flapper valve on the exhaust removed and that sucker in pretty darn loud in the cab. So much so I'm probably going to have it welded back on tomorrow. I wouldn't think it'd be that loud with a 22" Magnaflow but it is........ I'm sure slot of you are thinking " no way" but it is too loud for me in the cab. Sounds great outside. Am I getting too old? Haha ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I recently put the Nfabs on my truck and they seem to me to be about 4" -6" too far forward on the steps. Personally I think they make my truck look better but believe the Amp Steps would function better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. pretty darn close!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I have the 22" Magnaflow with the resonator removed and looking for just a little more sound and keep a deep tone to it. Does anyone know if a flapper delete will change sound.? I hose clamped it open but wasn't 100% sure it was wide open since you can't see it but it did sound a little louder. any feedback appreciated.
  9. Is anyone familiar with the Bilstein 33-185552 shocks? They have a range of 15.91" compressed and 25.93" extended. I just ordered a set to replace the rears that came with my RC 3.5".............and before ya'll start talking smack about the RC lift, the dealer installed it for nothing because I didn't like the ride of the 2.5" level that was on the truck. Lol Long story short ,I'm trying to get it where I wanted it months ago.
  10. Selling/sold mine for $200.00 hopefully today
  11. Installed the Diablo i2 tuner on Tuesday and my Nfab nerf bars today. Ahh it's been a great week!!!
  12. Nfabs installed today. Love em so far.
  13. p I may have a set for sell as soon as my Nfabs are on and I like em. Message me next week.
  14. I just ordered the N-Fab bed assist (3 steps) today from Autoanything and they knocked $50.00 off of listed $450.00 price. I used to not like how the steps looked now I think their the best looking (tough truck) ones out there. It's weird how our thinking changes once we are the ones selecting. Pleased with Autoanything from past purchases plus these will be on by doorstep no later than Thursday. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Did you just use a hose clamp and do you remember which way to rotate to the open position? live like at sailor at sea! BOB SEGER
  16. I have put 5100's on the rear and have a set for the front coming tomorrow. I have read so many post about this that I literally don't know if I want to even go that route. Thinking the Bilsteins will be better that the Ranchos but at this point I have no clue. I know this makes no sense to some but ever since I went from a 2 inch to 2 1/2 inch rough country my ride has gotten a lot worse. live like at sailor at sea. Bob Seger
  17. Running 275/65/20 KO'2
  18. My truck is going back to the dealer tomorrow for the blankity ,blank time. The ride on my 2.5' RC level is terrible as it bounces down the freeway and I have never experienced such a crappy ride (bounces) while towing the boat. ...........oh yea, and sunroof leaks AGAIN. Money aside what is the best riding 2.5" level kit/suspension/shocks you can install on these trucks. At this point I want this baby to ride like a Caddy and expecting the dealer to get it there after all the BS ive gone thru with this truck. Terrible Experience with GMC Thanks for any suggestions
  19. Thanks, I'll try that. live like at sailor at sea. Bob Seger
  20. I can't find the post but read on here where you can bolt open the flapper. Anyone know how or what's needed? Thanks live like at sailor at sea. Bob Seger
  21. Here is my dilemma.I currently have a 2 1/2 inch rough country lift that rides pretty rough.I am going to put 5100s on the front but I'm indecisive on to set it at the middle setting and leave the top spacer or put it on the top setting of the 5100 shock.I'm looking for the best ride and also to maintain my 275/65/20's BFGoodrich. It's hind site now but I regret putting the 2.5"rough country lift on there. Any help on the situation will be greatly appreciated thanks
  22. MRT had my 5100's to me in less than a week.
  23. Not believing everything I hear or read it is my understanding the Bilsteins are a better shock (better ride) than the Ranchos. I just replaced my rears yesterday with 5100's and the ride it noticeably better. My truck had a 2" level and I added the top spacer to get that ever so important (sarcasism) 1/2" extra and the ride suffered to me. I'm going to go back to the Bilsteins ( 2012 F-150) for a better ride and have talked with other forum members and read that that ride is better. I'm no longer worried about that 1/2" which I believe worsened my ride. I am the first to admit my knowledge on this is minimal but that's why come on here to hopefully teach my old ass something and just check out what others are doing. Peace out!!
