  1. Great info on this thread. I lost my entire trailer tire pressure program. Can't get to first base with it. Dealer can't figure it out either. This was after a system upgrade was installed. Any ideas as to why I lost the whole shebang??
  2. After setting up the TTPMS it worked well. Some time later I kept getting a message about a Nav error. Service tech installed an updated version on the radio and after that my TTPMS system was no longer available. Service dept can't figure out why! Any thoughts?
  3. Glad they worked. On my first trip after sensors were installed, coming home, not far away, I got a msg on the drivers center that the Right Rear trailer tire pressure was low. I kept watching the pressure and it went down gradually. Hoping to make it home, I didn't. About 3 miles from home, the pressure started dropping fast. Went to 0 and I found a good place to pull over. Yes, flat tire, but not against the rim, thanks to tandem axle. I changed the tire, took it in to be repaired and dealer said it wasn't damaged. Brand new GoodYear Endurance tire was saved. So yes, the tire pressure monitor works. Had it not been for the warning, I could have ruined the tire and endangered people. The only thing I don't like is the small numbers on display. My eyes ain't that good no mo!
  4. Seems like tire place would have installed metal or the new non-metal valve stem used for Load Range D tires when the tires were mounted. But pressure depends on the weight of your trailer. GoodYear has a table for weight vs tire pressure. That's a start. I had a small 20 ft single axle trailer that weighed about 4,000 lbs and aired my Endurance tires to 55 psi. Seemed to work fine. I say experiment and chalk them to determine even tread wear at given pressure.
  5. Yes, you can get after market sensors. Refer to previous posts from me and others. I got mine from eBay for $60 per pair. Bought the part number but got sensors with a different number. I was assured they were the same item. They did work but the horn didn't sound after being learned. But they do work.
  6. I have U1D but not PTT. Now I know. Problem is, I didn't order my truck. Probably like most people, I found the truck I like on a dealer's website. I was assured that it was capable of the trailer tire monitoring and camera system. But no sensors were in the glove compartment. They told me the sensors only come with the diesel engine. Wrong. So I ordered sensors and had many problems. I do have the signal repeater. Fortunately, everything works now. Not even thinking about hooking up the "invisible trailer" cuz I have a camera on the back of my trailer already.
  7. Good Luck! Let us know if that works. If so, the instructions on set up should definitely state that the doors should be shut. I think this was my problem from the start. I was listening for the horn beep and spent all the time trying to get horn verification when the 2 minute time ran out on the first wheel and then the system malfunction warning came on.
  8. Thanks! This forum is really helpful I did everything you said and got the sensors learned. Only problem was that the horn never honked at any time during the process. I'm thinking because I had the driver door open??
  9. Great!! How do you like the 3L diesel? I almost bought one but payload forced me into a 2500. What's your mpg? Solo and towing?
  10. Thanks to this forum I finally got my TTPM Sensors working. I bought sensors from eBay and received sensors with a different part number. They wouldn't learn. Contacted seller and he said these parts will work and has had no complaints. So I tried again, jacking up one side of trailer so I could spin the wheels. It worked! So I learned the rear wheel while spinning the tire and went to the other side that was not jacked up and they learned anyway. Problem was that I never heard a chirp of any kind from the truck horn or saw flashing lights. Maybe because the driver door was open?? This should not be as hard as it is.
  11. Thanks! This is about to drive me nuts! I hooked up the trailer again to try re-doing what I'd already tried and got a message "Service Trailer Tire Monitoring System" So I can't get into the Setup feature now. Owners Manual says "Take it to the dealer" I've tried everything I can think of to reset the Setup procedure but no luck.
  12. My 2020 Chevy 2500HD LTZ did not come with TPM sensors. Part # 84338125. Cost is $150 for 2 sensors. I found these sensors on eBay for $60 for 2 sensors. So I ordered 4 sensors and received Part # 84152501. Bought new tires (GoodYear Endurance) at Discount and had the new sensors installed. Came home and put wheels on trailer and tried to learn the sensors with no luck. Either by a learning tool (not a GM tool) or by lowering the tire pressure. At least the horn never honked. I contacted the seller on eBay and he assured me that the substitute sensor was exactly like the one I ordered. Any thoughts on what to do next? Thanks for any help.
  13. But I guess they were wrong since you have a Duramax and didn't get the sensors either!!
  14. Thanks for the reply. The dealer told me that they do come in the 2020 Duramax but not the gas engine.
  15. I have a 2020 Silverado LTZ with the Advanced Trailer System. The TPMS wheel sensors were not included in the truck when purchased. GM says 4 sensors should be included. The dealer knows nothing about this. Upon some pressure, the dealer says I could buy them from Parts at their cost. $360. GM website says 4 sensors cost $50. Maybe the $360 is for installing the sensors in the trailer wheels and learning them. Anybody had experience with this issue?
  16. I have a 2015 GMC paired up to an iPhone 6. The problem I'm having is when I make a call sometimes it comes through on my phone, not the truck speakers. When this happens I press "handset" on the lower right side of the screen to reveal "handsfree" and then the truck speakers work. Bluetooth is connected and I have the Call Audio Routing on the phone set to "Bluetooth Headset" Any ideas?
