  3. Sorry Mods, I just realised I posted this in the wrong section. Could you please move it to the troubleshooting area?
  4. When I first bough my truck back in March the lights were fine, but after a couple of months the lights got really contaminated and I mean like cataract contaminated! They had developed a thick hazy layer on the inside of the lens and because of that the deep scratched that I hadn't noticed previously had become clearly visible. So they got changed under warranty and all was fine, I have been traveled to Dubai with my car a couple of times, 1000 KM each way. On my last trip I pulled over at night for a pee in the desert and I noticed that the lights have developed some sort of haze again! This time the dealer, who I used to work for, decided they weren't going to do it on warranty and wanted me to pay BHD685 ($1817) per headlight! So after a couple of calls to GM's International Product Center, they are responsible for the region, they told me that if the lights have not been tampered with on my part then the dealer HAS to change them out on warranty. So they did it and when I went to pick up my car the drivers side headlight looked a little familiar...it was in fact the light that they had changed for me the first time. I knew this because of the scratch in the lens and when I confronted them about it they realised they had got caught and told me that they would call me when the replacement headlights came in. Anyway I was just wondering does anybody else with an All Terrain suffer from this? It seems that it only happens to my car because all my friends with Z71's and Denali's don't have this issue. 5. Had it for almost a year now, clocked 25k kms on it so far...had a few very minor issues but nothing the dealer didnt sort out.
  6. Born and bred here, spent 10 years in the UK, boarding school and university, but 100% Bahraini.
  7. I will probably end up doing something extreme to the truck, then I will have to talk to someone and pull some strings to give my car an exception during inspection. Its pretty much how everything works out here.
  8. It's the Middle East, everything here is Nazi! Actually thats not entirely true, Bahrain is the most liberal of the lot in some ways. I guess its because the Traffic department pay peanuts and as the saying goes, when you pay peanuts you get monkeys!
  9. Man, I envy you guys. Out here we are not allowed to lift the trucks more than 3 inches and even then you find some dumb cop that will give you a ticket for that! The vehicle registration law here basically says you cant put any modifications on the car that require any form of hacking and welding. Even lowering the truck is grounds for an impound! Basically if it cant be returned to stock, you are screwed and your car will never get registered!
  10. I had this issue when I first got my 2016 All Terrain. I had contamination in the drivers side headlight lens and a deep scratch in the passenger side headlight lens. I used to work at the dealer, last day was yesterday, and they changed them for me on warranty. The all terrain lights are expensive though! I checked my cars history the other day and pulled the warranty card of the system, the headlight cost to our dealer was $1657 per light! The total value of the warranty claim including labour was $4,000!!
  11. Hi Guys, I work at the GM dealership here in Bahrain but I dont know much about trucks as I was a Camaro/Corvette guy, so all these measurements and offset figures are like Chinese to me! I am looking to get the RC 2.5" lift kit for 16 Sierra All Terrain Dbl Cab (aluminium control arms). However I want to get the GM accessory 22" wheels with Toyo Open Country 33x12.5R22 tires. I actually saw one of the members on the forum with this setup, been looking for the post all morning and cant find it. But I have attached an image... Will I have issues at full lock or off roading? Sorry for the dumb question but like I said I am new to the truck scene.
  12. Hey man, The LED lights are a standard option in our region. Glass isn't tinted but I will be rectifying that problem soon. I ordered the GM 4 inch tubular side steps and the kicker sub too. I will be posting pics of those as they come in. I am contemplating the Royalty Core grille but the original is really nice and it would be a shame to hack it up. I will wait till I can get my hands on a standard oem grille and then hack that up. Sent from my SM-N910C using Tapatalk
  13. Well, I was planning to get a 2015 Silverado LT and hook it up with the extra cash I had, but I spotted something in the yard the other day and it totally blew me away and I booked and paid within 2 days. I am just waiting for my guy in the traffic department to hook me up with a nice number this week and I then I will take her home. Sent from my SM-N910C using Tapatalk
  14. Thank you!! It is, I get to come up with all the plans for custom cars in the showroom and when I get bored behind the desk I change and get my hands dirty in the workshop.
