  1. Name is Phil . I get called Pete all the time. If your DPN have all their lights working, then you only need the DQS Mirrors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sorry about that. I reread what I wrote and didn’t mean for it to sound the way it did. I was trying to figure out if I missed something in your statement about the harness part #s. If you have seat memory, those harnesses are correct. I don’t know why the document or GM differentiates the upgrade between 1500 and 2500/3500HD trucks. The upgrade is the same. The only time it makes a difference... is that the 1st year 1500 is a different body than the 2500/3500HD trucks. For example, 2014 is the first year for the K2XX body style but 2014 - 2500/3500HD trucks carried over the previous body style (2013) one extra year. Same goes for 2019. 2019 - 1500 is the new body style and 2019 2500/3500 is the previous gen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. What makes you feel that the harness go against the chart? Those should have worked. If reverse tilt and key fob are working, the harnesses are right. So something else is triggering the issue. So setting new profiles, once your mirros and seats are in the desired positions, press and release the set button, then press and hold the memory location. That’s how I remember the process. Also, double check you have driver 1 key fob and not driver 2. You might be recalling the other stored position. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Can you provide more detail on this? What part of the memory system is not working? Be as specific as possible...what works, what doesn't work? Does reverse tilt work? Does key fob fold work? Can you set seat/mirror positions, then recall them? Did you swap the door harnesses as well? If so, what part # harness did you use?
  5. Ah. I thought you meant mirror caps. That trim is tricky. You have to squeeze in the middle so that it flares out and catches to side closest to the glass. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This thread is for Silverado/Sierra Trucks. For SUVs, please contact @cmatt as he builds custom harnesses for the SUV platform. Integrating Seat Memory is not as easy as installing the memory buttons. There is a TON more to it to fully integrate seat/mirror memory. Heated/Cooled Memory Seats Custom Programming of the Seat Memory Module (located under new memory seat) Factory DL3 Harnesses or DQS Harnesses (if going with Tow Mirrors) for both doors Factory A45 (Memory) Drive Door PANEL Harness Factory A45 (Memory) Passenger Door PANEL Harness Factory A45 Passenger Window Switch (they are different between Memory and non Memory Trucks) Factory A45 Power Fold Switch Once you get ALL the hardware and the custom programming of the memory module, then you have to remove the Non-Memory wiring and install Memory wiring in ALL the locations from the driver seat, to both door jamb connectors, etc. etc. So, this is a VERY large undertaking. I have done this 3 times to local trucks and takes me an entire day. Unfortunately, there is no wire harness that I can build since a lot of Non-memory wiring needs to come out first. Special tools are needed to depopulate these pins. Hope this helps. Thanks, Phil Are the DPN Tow Mirrors you have now have the amber running light, cargo reverse light, and turn signal in the glass? Or the older DPN with just the turn signals in the glass? At any rate, if you down grade to DL8 Mirrors, those don't have any lighting options, so they will work for power adjust and heat. This would work since DL8 mirrors don't have any lighting options. Since you had the correct harnesses to begin with for the DPN mirrors, upgrading the mirrors to DQS and adding the switch should have been PnP..without the need for swapping the harnesses.
  7. Correct. You can still use the voice “Hey Siri/Ok Google” to invoke your assistant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality relies on the newer 2.5 HMI hardware and Radio Module for it to function. In addition, it used to be, that you needed to upgrade the cluster too to allow the “press and hold” button on the wheel to interact with your phone. That is no longer the case. I did a video showing that here - So to get CP/AA to be fully integrated, you need the cluster to be programmed and the HMI hardware. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The $25 one was from an eBay seller that has a surplus of these. The retail price for the newer version is around $90-$125 USD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You can reach me at HarnessDR.com They are in stock, just taking 2-3 weeks to build/ship due to the demand. I would order to reserve one before the lead times grow. Usually happens around tax refund time of the year.
  12. You'll need to swap door harness AND install the RZY Harness (Part # 23387133). The RZY harness is installed inside the cabin (hits both door jambs to land pins 9 and 11), lands into the X61A junction box (cargo lights), and under the hood X50A Fuse Block (running lights). There are videos for both of these installations. Here are links to the products from my site - https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2019-dl3-tow-mirror-upgrade-pnp-harness/ https://harnessdr.com/product/tow-mirror-cabin-under-the-hood-jumper-harness-part-23387133/ And links to videos Yes - All correct. The switch (Part # 23154702) is on National Backorder. I've been told GM discontinued this part # and superseded it. This means, we wait for manufacturing to build the new superseded part #. The harness can be purchased on my website here - https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2019-dl8-dl3-mirror-upgrade-pnp-harness/ Or you can get my DIY Kit if you want to modify your harnesses yourself - https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2019-dl8-dl3-diy-kit/ Yes - This is because there is constant battery power in the doors.
  13. You can install the mirrors without any change on the harness for now. Power Adjust and Heat will work. None of the lights will. You’ll need to swap door harnesses or modify yours with my DIY Kit. The RZY is only needed if your door jamb connector on the cabin side is missing pins 9 and 11. Most trucks have pin 41 (unless you have manual crank windows). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Yes. Physically swappable. No harnesses though for completing the connection. I build those custom. 19. There is no GM harness for this. I build the conversion custom. Here is my video: My site is HarnessDR.com You can reach me there for a quote to supply all you need for the upgrade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
