My dad swore by avanlanches and decided to go with the High Desert since they were discontinued, but was very disappointed with how bad it leaked. It was like you said, so bad it wasn’t even worth keeping anything back there. He ended up going round and round with dealer and eventually swapped out for a basic Silverado with bed cover. The install was pretty tricky. I've never done window tinting but from what I understand it's a very similar process. A lot of working the film and pushing out water. I ordered headlights and tail lights but ended up just installing headlights because the shape of the taillights were too tough to work around. Looking back I should've just went to a local window tint shop and asked them to install them. Probably gonna end up ordering plastic covers for the tail lights.
