  1. If the ECM detects a low or excessive pressure in the A/C irrelevant of the fuse and relay being pulled it will turn fan at maximum. You may have a bad a/c pressure sensor or you are actually low on refrigerant.
  2. This morning did an other 2004 TopKick cluster for a guy from Calais Maine. Paid me with Canadian money too. Then I did a 2003 Avalanche cluster refurbish and a 2005 Uplander FOB ( 15114374 ). I'm down to 15 motors, my order better come in soon.
  3. No I just have the old TechII, I repair pretty much all of them except a few. Lots of cars have on board FOB programming. Even some GMs did for a while, now they want it all. I don't think I'll be buying into the J2534 because I plan on retiring from retirement soon.
  4. Has anybody looked at corrosion on the B+ side fusible link of the battery. Mine was doing all kinds of crazy codes, stabilitrac, ABS, Traction Control, codes for fuel pressure system and one that really bugged me was '' Start vehicle battery low'' when truck was already running. Well cleaned all the green stuff off of the fusible link and added dielectric grease an ''BINGO'' truck runs like new.
  5. Yeah that did bug me a bit, don't know why it would have an alignment mark, everything should be symmetrical.
  6. Just repaired a pair of ( 15114374 ) for a 2007 Uplander. He just came from the dealer where they quoted him $365Cdn programmed. I love helping people save money, you should have seen his eyes after trying both of them multiple times and me asking for $30. Priceless!!!!! I love my life
  7. I've tried this, my wife's G6 came back from the dealer when they put new springs in the back. Torque was between 100 and 170, I undid them and re-torqued at 110
  8. Torquing evenly prevents rotor warp also. I torque the alloy wheels at 100 and the steelies at 110. Never lost a wheel and never broke a stud.
  9. Hope he's as good as me. l0l Did 2 more this afternoon, so that's 5 for the day. I told my brother I needed a break and he said '' You're the boss''. You're the boss doesn't stop the phone from ringing.
  10. Yeah that'd be about right if you do a lot of city driving and sitting at the lights.
  11. This morning before 11:18 I had already repaired 2 clusters and refurbished one for and 03 Sierra that was down from Churchill Falls for the holidays. He said he just couldn't drive back with his cluster working the way it did, so he looked me up. He was very happy to have his gauges working again. Here's his, it had a lot of hours but low kms because some nights and some days they leave 'em running or they won't start at -40 to -50 F or C. It had 5400 hours usually at 70,000 miles there' 1400-1500 hours. lol
  12. I learned to drive in one of those, a 58 Willis with a flat head Hudson straight six.
  13. There you go you'll just need a locksmith to cut it for you.
  14. Probably to squeeze the maximum out of you. They will probably not program a third party keyfob either or if they do they will charge some ridiculous price. Just get one on ebay or a reputable locksmith. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-Keyless-Entry-Remote-Key-Fob-3BTN-Panic-For-2011-Ford-F-150-w-Program-Inst-/151768502302?fits=Year%3A2011%7CMake%3AFord%7CModel%3AF-150&hash=item23561b901e:g:ZkEAAOSwd0BVv~F5&vxp=mtr
  15. Vehicle speed sensor will stop cruise from working but not a wheel speed sensor. Make sure your high brake light works.
  16. At the shop today I just sold and programmed 2 FOBs ( CWTWB1U331 ) to a 2006 Ford F150
  17. Just packaged a 1999 Suburban FOB ( 16245100-29 ) to mail out. I know it's Christmas eve but you have to help people out when they need help, so this guy drove 2¾ hours to bring his cluster for repair. I did a full refurbish in warm white LEDs while he took his wife shopping at the mall.
  18. Repaired an other Malibu FOB ( 22733524 ) this morning and changed the truck over to full synthetic oil, took 6 liters to bring it to the mark. Also changed the filter to a Synthetic oil filter. Now while I was under the hood I decided to try a suggestion that I had seen on here to see if it would rid me of the funny stuff I was seeing, like low battery voltage coming on, stabilatrak light and ABS and at odd times it would set a code for fuel pressure performance. So I pulled the fusible link out to check it and sure enough it was greener than a granny smith apple. Cleaned it with a sanding pencil and ran the brass nuts on the wire wheel. Added dielectric grease, now it's a waiting game but so far so good.
  19. In my little shop today I was quite busy... Started with the repair of a 2005 Envoy FOB ( 15008008 ) ant the aftermarket Auto Start he had for it. Then sold and programmed 2 FOBs ( 15186200 & 15186201 ) for a 2003 Sierra Then a 2005 Silverado HD diesel cluster in OEM colour. You can tell it's diesel by the 5K Tach, gas is 6K RPM. The this guy brought all of the families key FOBs for repair for Christmas. 2006 Silverado ( 15186200 ), a 2005 Allure ( 22733523 ) and his daughters 2006 Malibu ( 15252034 )
  20. Did this today works the way I intended it to work.
  21. '' Well it looked easy enough on YouTube'' Owner tried do repair his Denali cluster himself then gave up after pulling islands of the board. I ended up re-doing the whole thing since it had other failures. Then did an 04 Silverado HD
  22. Just bid on a new Candi module for my TechII, hope I get for cheap. My candi module has been intermittent for the pass couple of months and this morning while trying to do a FOB for a Malibu it crapped out. Luckily it worked long enough for me to program the FOB.
  23. That's why I grind the lens flat, to eliminate hot spots. Plus you can get LEDs with lower mcd.
