My worry was that a new radio wasn’t going to fix it so I wanted any repair covered by the dealer. Another user had been having a similar issue and for him the problem continued after replacing the radio. Had I known a new radio would definitively fix it I would have gone with the kenwood restyle
Still working fine. Cost about $750 including labor (1 hour diag 1 hour install). Probably could have installed myself no problem but I’m always paranoid I’m going to snap a trim piece or clips
So I replaced the radio and it seems to have fixed everything. They said it was an internal short in the radio control unit. If I had known that replacing the radio would fix it (the few other people I found with similar issue said replacing it didn’t fix it) I would have just gone with the Alpine 9” unit but you can’t re-install the factory radio after installing that one and I was worried that wouldn’t solve it. Does anyone have access to GMC TSB’s? Dude on YouTube is saying it’s a capacitor issue and there should be a TSB for it but he doesn’t know the number Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Interesting. Do they take that panel off during a windshield replacement? I just had mine replaced a month ago so I wonder if something got jarred loose. I’ll have to try this next time I have time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I posted this in the troubleshooting area as well but figure it would be seen more here.
So I found this video on YouTube which is the exact same thing my truck is doing. His happened under warranty and even replacing the radio didn’t fix it. GM wound up buying his truck back. My truck isn’t even 3 years old yet but I have 60k miles so they won’t cover it under warranty. Has anyone had this issue and found a solution? I would just get an aftermarket but I’m afraid the issue would carry over. So far the dealer has upgraded the software and I’ve done touchscreen calibration but all to no avail.
It’s so freaking annoying while driving. Then I hit the home button just so that it would stop distracting me and the home screen went into edit mode and started moving the apps all over the place so all the apps are spread out over 3 “pages” now instead of just 1.

Tire size doesn't include the tread, since that wears away. So figure a little under 1" for the tread and you'd get right around 33" for the tire size Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Installed an ARB CMK12v on board air compressor on the spare battery tray of my 2015 Sierra. It's about 70% done, still need to wire it up. Also got some stock size KO2's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nah there's a robin at my house that has decided the mirror is an excellent perch. Now I just fold my mirrors in. My wife's car looks half red and half white now though cause her mirrors don't fold
Yes the LED is just the strips. 2014 and 15 only came with halogens and they are god awful. How's the noise on the highway from the RT's? I really don't feel like listening to tire drone if I can avoid it.
How do you like the RT's? That's what I'm planning on getting when these tires are done. The 2014's don't have LED's except for the dlr's. I recommend the Morimoto HID and kit from TRS. Works great in the stock projectors and super bright. Also the Morimoto xb led fogs. You'll never complain about lighting again.
