  1. I wasn't being critical, merely opening up further discussion. Good write up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That seems much less secure. What happens when your rear ended with passengers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah I'm also curious as to where you had your truck detailed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Cognito arms, fox 2.5 coilovers, ran great with stock 22" rims, now have them with aftermarket 17" wheels Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Too true Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. My 2006 Passat desperately needed one at 100k. My mechanic used walnut shells Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. My weather app is different on my 16. It just says weather, not the weather channel. I can fire up a video later Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. When my XM ended my weather ended. Now when I try to enter that screen it tells me to renew my XM subscription. My onstar data ran out long before that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. In theory body up protects the body of the shock and helps grime fall away and not get into the seals eventually causing failure. Body down protects the shaft from nics scrapes and bumps which can deteriorate the seals just the same. I figured better to keep the shock piston protected and let the scraper seal do its job. But that's just my choice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Weather is done thru Xm satellite radio Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Get a large monkey wrench they can be a pain to squeeze together while your driving the screw through. My shop installed them piston up/body down FYI. I've looked but haven't found a general consensus on which is correct. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Get yourself the roost shields from fox for those rear shocks. For 30 bucks you'll help keep your piston free of rock chips and prolong the life of the shock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. That's puzzling. Did you contact fox? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. And you had the proper wrench? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Did you loosen the little Allen screw in the preload ring? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. How much did it all run you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Congratulations you've found a service manager who isn't miserable and out to spread his misery to others. He knows what items he can charge off to GM with no concerns, and what items GM can potentially ask to audit him on (usually mechanical things that can be taken apart by engineers). Be polite and you should be taken care of relatively well. Throw them a bone and bring it in for a service occasionally even if you can easily do it in your driveway. The few extra dollars you'll spend can help foster that relationship. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Personally I'd never notice the paint vs the plastidip. Isn't enough to make me potentially screw up my tailgate swapping them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Rear? I don't believe GM made an illuminated rear emblem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Not exactly surprising considering most of the information posted on this forum is how to remove said technology in pursuit of power, aesthetics, off road capability, etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Currently I average around 10-11 on my daily commute to work. I have about a mile with two traffic lights. The engine never reaches operating temp and the mileage reflects that. But even so it's been three weeks since I filled my tank and I've got plenty left [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I believe I've seen this asked before to no avail but has anyone figured out how to enable cargo lights while in gear? Or a workaround hack? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Interested in trading for chrome handles and caps? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Why don't you cut the cigarette lighter adaptor off and hardware it? There is a RAP power blade in the drivers fuse box that's there for that very purpose, just crimp a connector on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Unfortunately normal is the answer you'll get from GM and the dealer. Injector noise in direct injected engines is higher, and for whatever reason seems to penetrate the cabin to the left of the steering wheel towards knee level. Can be tough to distinguish pinging from operating noise. Higher octane will only solve pinging noise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
