  1. I went from a 16 2500 Denali to a 20 2500 AT4 and I kept the same drop hitch. I just remembered that means the 2020 must be a couple of inches higher as I had drop shackles on my 2016 and stock ride height on my 2020. I am picky about having my trailer(s) level and the 8 inch drop works well with my utility trailer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  2. I haven’t sent a CEL using an iDash on my 2020 Duramax with around 25,000 miles. I did get a notice on the infotainment screen that a software upgrade was available. I selected Yes and the update failed. I tried the update 3 different days and it failed each time. This morning I unplugged the iDash before updating and it installed the update without an error. I plugged the iDash back in and both the iDash and the truck have been working fine. Maybe the truck checks if something is plugged in the OBDII port before updating? 3. Have you had any luck with this camera? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  4. The blinky LED thing is your alarm system. It pulses the lights and checks the amperage. If it doesn’t sense the trailer lights the alarm goes off. In the setup menu system for your trailer I think there is a setting to turn off the alarm... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  5. I have the single mount. The cable runs inside the mount. No cable visible. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  6. I haven’t had a CEL with my iDash. I have noticed that my monthly OnStar report now says communication has been blocked by an after market device plugged in the OBD2 port. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Hi, I looked up my invoice. The new pad part numbers are: 84702753 (S) Pad Kit 84571661 (S) Pad Kit I have a long gravel driveway and my brakes will still squeal for the first stop or two but it’s much better than previously. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Look at sealberta’s idea. Use a relay to power your lights switched with the signal from the cargo lights but have the power come from the battery or fuse box. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  9. I have the Diamondback. I really like it and would buy another. I also have a Slide-Master aluminum bed slide that makes access to the bed easy. I did have a Paragon cover in the past. It was a multi-fold cover made of aluminum that was quick to remove, locked and could accommodate a gooseneck. The drawbacks were that you could not put anything heavy on it and you needed to be careful what you put in the front of the bed if you didn’t have a bed slide drawer as anything tall in the front of the bed blocks the Paragon from opening. All my trailers are bumper-pulls so I don’t need the gooseneck... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Mine always loses the signal after the trailers sit for a few days. After I hook up the trailer and drive for 1/2-1 mile they reconnect. I’m pretty sure the TPMS sensors go to sleep when they haven’t moved for a while. If they didn’t the battery life would be pretty short. This is also a good reason to drive the trailer around for a couple of miles before trying to pair the sensors to the truck. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  11. It’s dirty right now but you can see if you like it or not... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  12. I have the Diamondback cover. I browsed through my cell phone pics tonight and have none with the cover. I will try to remember to take one tomorrow. My truck is a 2020 2500 AT4 and I really like the look and performance of the Diamondback cover... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  13. The new pads are not squeaking for me. I have put about 600 miles on them so far. A lot of the miles have been towing and I apply more pressure to stop (the noise seemed to be worse with slow easy stops for me). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  14. I picked up my truck this afternoon after taking it to the dealership for squeaky brake pads (TSB took care of it). I took a recording of the radio sound cutting in and out while playing XM/Sirius, FM and my phone. They were able to replicate the issue and try the solutions suggested by GM Tech Support. They wound up replacing the head unit and so far it has been working great. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  15. I picked my truck up this afternoon. I have a copy of the TSB that I will upload tomorrow with pictures of the pads. So far no squeaking... As per KuiMonster’s post, my problems were intermittent but they never made noise when I was stopping from a speed more than 35 miles an hour or if I applied the brakes firmly. 16. I don’t remember how the Kuat NV wedge system works but here is a picture of the adapter that 1-UP makes and it works great for me. I switched to 1-UP years ago because I was one of the coaches on my daughter’s NICA team and I needed to carry 6 bikes sometimes (two of the 1-UP racks on the tonneau cover and a 4 place in the hitch). This adapter has worked well in my 2016 and 2020. If you need the pin to go all the way through you may need to drill an additional hole as CPAP did above... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  17. Mine is in for the brake pad TSB right now. I had 17,000 miles on it and it was embarrassing to brake when I was driving slowly as they squealed like an old work truck. I did have the troublesome pads and they are putting in the new ones. They did get an “out of stock, back ordered” message from GM for the new pads but were able to get a set from another dealer in town. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Check the fuse. This happened to me... I can’t recall right now but I had to change a fuse under the hood in the panel near the driver’s side battery. It was the one for the trailer module that had blown for me so the electric brakes worked, turn signals and brakes worked but just the running lights did not. I can’t remember exactly what the labeling was for that fuse and I don’t have my truck at work today but post again if you can’t find it and I’ll look it up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Isn’t the receiver for the trailer TPMS right behind the license plate? I would try removing my rear plate from the stock position. An aluminum plate is a good way to block a radio signal at 433 Mhz Tape the plate to the rear of the truck and drive around the neighborhood a while. If the third axle TPMS sensors work without the plate attenuating the signal then you can invest more time into trying the move the receiver / antenna. If it doesn’t work you’ll need to wait for a repeater solution. I have three trailers set up with the TPMS sensors but two of them are single axle and the third is a double axle so I haven’t seen the problem with losing the signal. 20. ShogunKC I just used one of the generic diamond-shaped RAM balls on the radio mounting plate, a 3 inch RAM arm and another mounting plate on the dash end. Amazon, Cabela’s, eBay, GPSCity, etc will all have those in stock and they’re not very expensive. Here is a pic... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  21. I installed the upfitter switches in my 2020. Search the Mod category for upfitter switch install and there is at least one thread with pictures of the install. The part numbers have changed since I purchased them or I would post them here. Good Luck Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  22. I doubt it would be damaged if you don’t slide it. Give them a call as they are responsive, I’ve spoken with them about a few questions I had prior to both my orders. They also have heavier duty models (not sure if they heavier duty ones are still aluminum). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  23. Try carplay2air.com or a similar device... I think there was a thread on this forum saying it worked for his 2020 HD. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  24. Have you spoken to Thule about the problem? Were you below their advertised weight limit? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  25. Mx_master, Thanks for letting me know! That sounds great. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
