  1. After much research, purchased a Leer 100XQ back in 2017 for my 2016 RCSB @$2400 that included lights, front folding window and upper insulated liner with folding cloths hanger. Dealer added free thick rubber bed mat and gate liner too. I needed this for hunting, fishing and camping gear as I was spoiled by my old 96 Tahoe with easy / safe storage. My GF and I are into cheap camping, so my old Tahoe air mattress fit perfectly.. Take your time on research and if possible buy new from dealer with factory paint to match.. Cheers-----Keith
  2. Dude,, Nice K5... I miss those days of easy to work-on / simple trucks.. Cheers---K
  3. Hey Jp... Prior truck was 96 Tahoe with great / dry storage area for camping & fishing equipment.. Now its just me and GF so topper was necessary.. Keep searching for rear defrost window,, I would think aftermarket / custom may be available.. Have you thought of adding insulated HVAC-flex-tubing from one of your lower heater vents to push warm air to window?? Could be cheap and easy fix for basic slider.. Cheers---K
  4. Hey Jp sierra... I do like your lift and Sierra color... The Leer Topper is about 225lb which appears to add a bit more cornering traction and stability in winds.. Also,, Don't require any sandbags for winter driving in Iowa. I did notice some wind buffeting noise between back of cab and topper on Interstate drives but its worth it for the extra dry storage.. Just crank up the Tunes.... This weekend, installing my Hellwig adjustable rear sway bar so,, should be more fun in corners... Cheers---K
  5. It may be your Direct Injection Pump, during start-up Almost sounds like the old Bosh mechanical diesel injector pumps during engine start.. Do you hear a slight ticking sound when engine is running in same area as pump,, as this is part of pressurization.. My old Vortec 5.7 never made this sound... Cheers---K
  6. Thanks Man... Its a Leer 100XL... Prior 4X4 was 96 Tahoe with 450hp / Vortec 383,, really missed the back area storage, this was best alternate.. Cheers---K
  7. My little 2016 RCSB, bone stock from Dealer and after a few mods and tires.. Cheers---K
  8. My flapper valve started chirping / squeaking during V4 / V8 transfer at 1500 miles.. Dealership replaced entire exhaust system with new style valve assembly.. Unfortunately, with 40K on truck,, chances are they will not replace,, by give it a try anyway,, nothing to lose... As others have stated,, either lock it open or just remove.. May be time for exhaust upgrade to better / nice sounding system.. Cheers---K
  9. A couple of photos of my 2016 RCSB with 2" lift on Goodyear / SRA's - 275/55/r20's and on BFG-KO2's - LT285/55/r20's.. KO2's barely rub on sway bar at full lock... Cheers----K
  10. Yup,, Count Me In Too.... Still not used to factory Quiet... Cheers----K
  11. Installed DeeZee Nerf bars on 2016 RCSB, mainly for GF.. Already protected body from car doors due to multicolor dings on bars in past few weeks..
  12. I had PEV / Flapper valve replaced at 800 miles on my 16, 5.3, RCSB.. Now with 6800 m, still quiet.. Had to prove to service manager,, my old buddy that it was the issue.. Was easy when set to M5 and no squeaking noise since did not transfer between V4 to V8 mode.. Dealership replaced entire exhaust system too... Discovered "rust" on moving parts was cause of tin can squeak noise.. So Far,, So Good.. Cheers---Keith
  13. I hate to say this,, Take it back to dealer for light / lock wiring.. You not only have warranty but they did not complete install.. Have 100XQ and local dealer did Great job and testing lights befor I left his shop... Save your time and hassle... Cheers---K
  14. Thanks Much Ian.. I have been very happy with topper,,,since all my crap doesn't fly out the bed... Cheers---K
  15. Wow!! Great lookin RCSB's out there... My little beast is 2016 5.3 4X4 with Rancho 9000's in back, Rancho Quicklift struts infront, rear Hellwig sway bar, Leer topper and minor debadging.. Topper is great for easy camping, stashing bikes and store runs. Recently sold my 96 tahoe,, so missed the extra safe storage. Before winter,, will put on 285/55R20's and trash Goodyear SRA's. Downstreem,, it will be tune time.. Cheers----K
  16. Hi... A bit late for the BBQ.. My almost new ride..
  17. Many Thanks.. Yes,, it's a Leer 100XQ for 6'6" bed.. I missed my old 96 Tahoe with great storage inside,, so did the next best thing with topper on RCSB... All basic inside with rubber matt and single light.. Checked out ARE's,, but did not like fit and finnish.. Local dealer is also detail oriented.. Cheers---K
  18. Hi All.. New Big Kid here.. My additions to family,, last Month and changes last Week.. Cheers---K
