  1. Probably ballast. My passenger side did the same thing. Was the ballast. Replaced it and never had the issue again.
  2. Are those hid or LED high beams? They're crazy bright!
  3. I have a similar situation. Granted it's been cold here, but my temp drops to 195 or so when cruising down a hill off the gas, but goes back up to 210 when I get back on the gas. Is everyone else's right at 210 all the time?
  4. No heat issues so far. I have the Morimoto Elite 35 watt 5500k Silverado Spec kit installed.
  5. Yeah, the 14-15 LTZ/HC low beams are projectors. They are not really HID projectors but the HID kits work fine in them. Some swear by doing a retrofit with real HID projectors but I'm running HIDs in the stock projectors and it works great. Would it be brighter with real HID projectors? Maybe, probably. But it's fine with the stock projectors and 100x brighter than with the halogen bulbs.
  6. What did you ground the capacitor link to? And what prep did you do to the surface (sanding etc??)
  7. Looking to install the morimoto Silverado hid kit on my 15 Silverado LTZ. Lots of people on this fourm complained the dust caps don't fit back on because of the bulb/bulb connector length. I did notice that these posts were over a year ago. Did morimoto change the design recently? Anyone with the same truck as me do the install and have any issues with the dust caps and bulb length? Thanks!
  8. Mines a 15 but I never used the plug. I've tried maybe 2-3 times getting stuff to plug in but gave up cause it wouldn't go in. So it really has never truly been used. I guess I better see if I can get something in there to see if it works before my warranty is up in May haha
  9. I have another problem. Everytime I try to plug something it, the prongs go halfway in and it feels like it can't go in any further, like it's meeting resistance. I don't want to apply too much pressure to get the plug in the socket for fear of breaking something. I have reversed the plug thinking I was trying to plug it in backwards, but that's not the case. Any suggestions?
