    Well said. I know. You shouldn't have to worry. It shouldn't be an issue where you have to think "Oh Lord what else could happen if I let them tear it apart." It's not right when we pay this much for these trucks.

    This post reminds me of RV warranties. Sometimes, between your sanity and "what could happen" when the 18 year old tech starts tearing apart your 50k RV - its just best to leave it alone. I'm currently deciding this over my leaking rear window. May just fix it myself.

    Well that makes me feel better. I would hope they wouldn't do something that shady. But who knows. That sucks even more though if you are right - That means mine is doing the slow leak in rain only. I saw a couple people on this thread that said theirs would only leak when it rained, not when a hose was applied.

    Sucks man. I’m so sorry. I’ve spent 3 hours now with a hose on mine. I’m convinced the dealer fixed it pre-sale and then didn’t replace the headliner hoping they could get away with it (which they did.) I didn’t catch it that night when I bought the truck.

    So further inspection on the back channel where they put the sealant - it doesn't look like it's been applied to mine. No mess or overspread. I don't know what to think. I've held a hose on this thing for nearly an hour and can't get it to leak. Do you think the dealer will tell me if they repaired it before it was sold?

    Something else to add - I think my repair has actually been done. No water came in today either. This is a dry stain. I think they fixed it and that's why it sat from 3/19 until I bought it in September.

    I cannot believe I am about to type this. I have joined the club. 2019 Silverado Crew Cab, Short Bed, 4x4, 5.3 Build Date: 3/19 Bought New 9/21/19 So I've read this forum before and just sat back and felt bad for all you guys. I of course went right out and took a hose to my windows for a solid 30 minutes. Never a drop. However for some reason I never looked up at the liner. Only the window for water spots. Welp, washing it today and testing it again. This time I looked up. To the dealer I go.

    From what I can see those will NOT work. I just looked them up on eBay. Those are SD card kits only, most likely used to update the actual maps for someone that already has the navigation kit installed. What you want is part number 84489271 It is the full kit for IOS radios, and includes the one time activation code the dealer will need to get GM to authorize the computer updates to your truck. It's $450 from GM but with their 20% off deal you'll get it for $360.

    Mine is brand new too. I'm a little worried about mine as well. Mine doesn't quite do what yours does, but its still not as smooth as I would like. So mine jerks shifting from Park to Drive. If I let the truck warm up for a good while (5-10 minutes) before shifting into Drive it will not do it. I also have a weird noise going from Drive to Neutral. I get this strange hollow sound like a marble is falling into an aluminum can. Really weird. And only makes the noise from Drive to Neutral. Not any other combination to Neutral. But just like you said - my transmission is butter smooth while driving so I guess I won't worry about it.

    Thanks again (2nd time) Phil for all your help! After helping me with my father's truck, Phil worked his magic again and helped me with mine. Sorry for the bad pics, I'll get some better ones in daylight & once I get the chrome caps on.

    Amazing information from this post. Thanks so much Phil. I cannot say enough about your character and willingness to help practically any hour of the day. Your DIY kit & instructions were spot on and you can't tell it wasn't from the factory! Thanks again for helping me get my dad's gift working correctly.
