  2. data using a 23 year old truck and a test done 7 years ago..... thanks for the info! that helps out a lot I guess nothing has changed since then
  3. have the ground cable tested or replaced. there was a stint of poorly constructed ground cables that caused issues for many owners.
  4. I guess my concern would be, debris build up and start of corrosion over time depending where you live and what is sprayed on the road during winter times. maybe use a rubber mat that covers the whole bracket where it contacts the body panel so nothing can get trapped between the bracket and body panel. but thats just me thinking out loud. glad you guys that have the rattle have found a fix.
  5. I’m pretty sure the Denali in 2003 has the Bose amp. With the after market radio, the vehicle would need to be rewired or new wires where ran(not likely). Most likely cut up the harness to reduce the running of wires. Take a peek to see if the Bose amp is still there in the rear left cargo panel.
  6. You can use an amp kit. The only issue I see is some of the cheaper amp kits will use aluminum strands instead of copper, make sure you stay away from those. I used to work in a install shop, you can hit them up for some left over wires/ or they would sell it by the ft. from a spool, as well as battery terminals.
  7. it is the original ignition switch? has it been replaced? they are known for going out and having poor contacts with age, which could cause the passlock to act up.
  8. has anyone tried cleaning out the lighting port on the phone? build up lint can cause poor connection. i had to really dig to clean out my lighting port to get a good connection. ever since cleaning out the port i will blast it with can air to help keep clean. maybe something to try out.
  9. too many different options to go with, but simple one i would say, check the battery cables, sounds like a loose cable to battery, easy to strip bolts that hold cables tight. a loose cable can kill battery. the cables should not be able to twist/rotate when connected to battery. could be an issue with the new cluster not shutting down the BCM(computer) which will drain the battery while it sits over night. a Digital multimeter can help track down issue but you need to be familiar with it. i honestly think is something simple, but i like to trouble shoot electrical issues.
  10. Well, I just happened to see a MiG 28 do a... Uh, sorry Goose. WE happened to see a MiG 28 do a 4G negative dive. Where did you see this? Uh, that's classified. Started up on his six, when he pulled in through the clouds, and then I moved in above him. Well, if you were directly above him, how could you see him?Because I was inverted. repost fail... my bad
  11. looks like a toyota plug and steering wheel control module, the pac module should work if you have steering wheel control output on radio.
  12. make sure and read the install instruction, if i remember right, on some bose systems you need to set the volume level before you disconnect the factory radio. if to low you would be cranking up the volume on after market, set to it to high you will be getting a lot of noise due to the factory volume setting.
  13. nothing after market installed? could have a relay latched that might need to be replaced. just an idea to think aboot.
