  1. Btw, I NEVER race my truck, it just burns up the new KO2 tires as it did with the previous Nitto Ridge Grapplers too. You can also add about 6 gallons of E85 and the rest Super to every tank which is what I do in order to help keep my engine clean and definitely notice a bit more throttle response too. Good luck! 2. Fully agree! I was just like you, there’s nothing that’s going to make you feel 100% safe but canned tunes are definitely a safer option. You can turn off the fuel management, reset tire size, boost 25plus horsepower and torque, speed limiter and much much more. SuperChips does back their product giving full power train warranty for 3 or 4 years. I feel that we’ve already got the powerful 6.2 and just unleashing it will make a noticeable difference, in addition, I’m not running CAI or an exhaust. I am Using the best oil and filter, ensuring protection along with differential and transfer case fluids, early proactive maintenance will help insure a long life. Sent from Above
  3. Adding a CAI is a 33% you’ll gain, 33% you won’t and 33% you’ll lose power. I’ve got a SuperChips tune on my 18 6.2 and it’s awesome, completely woke up the 6.2. If the technician finds a tune just by plugging into then you’re SCREWED! It’ll be reported to GM and your warranty will be deleted. With my SuperChips, I’ve put it back to stock that morning I take it in and set it back to performance once I pick it up. The 8speed cannot be tuned through SuperChips but I don’t race my truck, if I did it would’ve been traded in by now. Good luck and be careful, based on issues plaguing K2’s and newer T1’s, you don’t want to screw around with your warranty! Sent from Above
  4. Tastefully done, good job! Sent from Above
  5. That’s something I’ve seen on the Internet and when I asked the service department, they’ve heard something as well. Anything else, you’ll have to do your own research. I know it’s at 7500 but that’s just highway driving, idling for long periods and short stop and go driving breaks down the oil much faster so common sense would prevail. Sent from Above
  6. Well, used to be much higher OCI’s, GM lowered it and though it’s not updated on your computer, I’d highly recommend not going over 5K miles. These DI motors get really dirty quickly and the minimum required oil is minimum at the most, put the best in that you can afford and change 5k miles. I saw somewhere that oil has really started evolving and focusing on becoming much more protective by raising the cleaning and protective properties added to the base stock oils which are basic lowest requirements. 7. You’re absolutely correct, I’d think that wouldn’t come across very well with the EPA considering the motors are supposed to be designed in order to appease the EPA. IMHO, just more BS excuses in order to save money. GM as well as others can only afford so much in warranty work. Bet if you get enough complaints out there then GM will be forced to correct these issues and no more “that’s normal” especially since this is how the Transmission issues came to light, complain enough and GM will be forced to fix the issues. 8. Interesting though, I’ve never ever thought of joining any forums until past few years in order to learn or give back what I’ve learned throughout the years, forums recently have for the most part focused on cheapest of products in order to just get by as well as bickering and idiotic complaints. Believe when I say sometimes I question as to why even attempt to explain why I use a product cause then you’ll have someone much younger and far less experienced counter everything I’ve learned and expressed with “but I found XYZ product much cheaper than what you use”..... good Lord, if that’s what the forums are full of then I may be right cause so far and in my eyes only a few stand out as being productive and qualified to give out recommendations and you are one of them Grumpy, good job! 9. Lol, I’m sure it’s been tossed by now Sent from Above
  10. No interest in fixing it, the top aluminum fill bolt locked up onto the housing cause I didn’t realize I left out the O-ring and over tightened it seizing it up and I felt drilling it out would’ve compromised besides, I’ve got one more for just in case lol Sent from Above
  11. I call BS! You’re one of the few that always pops up anytime and every time Amsoil is mentioned and has something to say. Anyone on these forums can look for themselves as to the best oil is the industry and it sure isn’t Walmart oil like you’ve mentioned. A 100% synthetic motor oil has virtually ZERO burn off and cannot be compared to budget oil. Let’s just move along now and not pull insecurities out from under a hat lol Sent from Above
  12. Neither my 18 6.2 but my neighbor used to burn oil and stopped once he started using the Signature Series, he’s since sold his truck and bought a Raptor lol Sent from Above
  13. Typically, cheaper oil has a faster burn off rate. Change your engine oil to Amsoil Signature Series and see if that helps. Sent from Above
  14. Just replaced my original G2 Diff Cover that I stripped the fill bolt with a whole new G2 Diff Cover Out with the old and stripped In with the new Diff Cover Refilled with Amsoil 75W90 [emoji6] Sent from Above
  15. I’d be on those in a heartbeat but with the amount of off-roading I do, they’d be chewed up fast! Beautiful wheels though! Sent from Above
  16. On Texas highways, I’d get rear ended, pulled over or flipped off if I drove 55mph but much better fuel economy for sure. Sent from Above
  17. I wish you guys would add your mph along with your mpg’s. I’ve got a 2018, tuned 6.2, 4.5-5” lifted on 33” KO2’s with a 323 rear end. I’m getting approximately 19-21 on highway @ 65-70 mph. Sent from Above
  18. Call the parts department and ask them this question Sent from Above
  19. Appreciate it, it’s definitely a keeper. Sent from Above
  20. 2018 GMC SLT Z71 Standard bed, performance tuned 6.2. Fuel 20x9 +1 offset, 33” BFG KO2’s, CST 4.5”-5” Lift with front CST Coil Overs and CST rear Piggy Backs, front CST Skid plate, RollNLock Bed Cover, G2 Rear Diff Cover, etc etc etc... Sent from Above

  22. On my 2018 and when it was leveled, 2.25” level up front will allow a +18 offset wheel with 285/60/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers without requiring new UCA’s but did require zip ties on the fender liner. I also replaced the rear 1” with a 2” and installed new Bilstein 5100’s. Looked good but Rode harsh. Sent from Above
  23. Ummm, I was referring to the delete of NorCals air dam. Sent from Above
  24. Thanks, it’s not for me personally but I wanted to actual see what they look like on his truck. Sent from Above
