  1. Well, technically, an 8000lbs winch on a 9000lbs receiver would be strong enough to lift the truck straight up in the air and have it hanging their swinging in the breeze, right? haha
  2. If I get a 12V winch, I could get heavy duty leads off the battery, waterproofed, mount it up under there, and use things other than a winch with it... maybe a light bar that sticks onto a hitch mount, or whatever else I can cook up?
  3. What about this? 500lbs tongue weight, and 9,000lbs pull weight and doesn't look too bad or hang down too low? https://www.etrailer.com/p-65082.html It would allow me to get a winch more in the 8,000lbs range which is better than sitting there stuck, I would imagine...
  4. 2019 LT Trail Boss 5.3L 8-speed. No real mods other than 33" GoodYear UltraTerrains with 1.25" hub centric wheel spacers all around, a set of good rock rails, K&N filter and Airaid MIT... That's it. Been wanting a winch, but I don't want to have to install some expensive, big, heavy and goofy looking extension to the front of the truck. A friend suggested a front hitch receiver and then a winch that could hook onto that, or, I could move the winch to the rear hitch if I needed to pull the truck back out of something I shouldn't have gotten myself stuck in... Sounds like a solid plan, but what do people suggest? I don't want to lose much ground clearance in the front, as it would be ironic to have the winch or hitch be the thing that gets the truck hung up to begin with... What have people used, and any pics of your setup? Don't want to spent a ton of money, but I am thinking that the right, up high or hidden front receiver hitch and a suitable winch in the 4,000lbs or so range would likely get me out of anything that I am likely to ever see... I don't go hardcore off roading, but I want to do some off road stuff and I feel like having a winch might be a good idea, especially if I am alone and out of cell phone range. thoughts?
  5. That's what I feared, it was too cheap to be metal. haha Oh well, I will keep searching...
  6. Ok, keep us posted.
  7. When I clicked on the link that shows the front one that I want, the price is like $37, so I am assuming that one is plastic. The other 2 that I have are metal, it's only the front one that I would want to replace with metal
  8. Right, for the plastic front piece is what I have that came on the truck... was looking for a metal one.
  9. Hmmm... Can you buy just that front plate? When I upgraded the 2018 it was a kit that contained multiple plates... But if all I need is the front one...
  10. What comes stock on a 2019 LT Trailboss? Are they metal, or crappy plastic ones like what came on my 2018 Z71?
  11. I know, I am not trying to be lazy... lol I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried both... Of course if I ask Bilstein, they are gonna say yes, spend more money on the 5160's...
  12. Awesome. Last question... Is there a set of 5160's with remote reservoirs for this same lift and application, and if so, is it worth the extra $$?
  13. Mine is a bone stock 2019 LT TrailBoss, I haven't done anything other than wheel spacers and slightly larger off-road tires.
  14. Anyone got the part numbers for this application? To add 1.1" up front to the stock TB 2" lift, plus the rears? Want to make sure I order the right ones.
  15. Ok, cool, that's what I was looking for, to take what I have, lift it another inch or so on the front, and give it a nicer ride over bumpy stuff. Thanks for the info, I will have the local off road shop install a set of these this winter.
  16. So your level kit works differently than mine? You would lose a little in the front, while mine would add the 1.1" to the 2" that I already have?
  17. So it seems that if I have a 2019 LT TB, I can use the Billsteins to replace the Ranchos, and I can set the front to the 1.1" on the new shocks, which will add to the stock 2" lift, giving me a 3" lift in front with no need to replace UCA's? And if I want to keep the factory rake, I assume I can have them swap out the 2" lift blocks on the rear and toss in 3" blocks? That way I keep a little rake so when I load an ATV in the back or tow something, the rear doesn't squat like a dog dropping a deuce?
  18. I guess my question is, those Billsteins can lift the front end, but I can't combine that lift with the spacers that came from the factory, without there being issues with UCA's and stuff, right?
  19. 2019 LT TrailBoss with 5.3L and 8 speed tranny. Running a size larger Wrangler UltraTerrains(33") with 1.25" hub centric spacers installed on all 4 wheels. Had to do a little trimming to get rid of rubbing, but been fine for several thousand miles. What's a decent drop in replacement for these kinda low end Rachos? Also wouldn't mind a shock that lifts the front a little more to level the front. If there is a drop in shock that gives a nicer ride and lifts the front another inch, that would be excellent. Whats the "go-to" options these days?
  20. Cheap phones, yeah. No flagship. Don't care to compare a cheap Boost Mobile phone to a Galaxy or iPhone.
  21. Why are these trucks so locked down? Most other trucks can be easily tuned... What's with GM locking ours down?
  22. If he's pulling a battery, it's tine to update his 2014 phone to something current. lol
  23. Hmmm... 2hp. Not worth it. My exhaust is straight piped so probably on par with the flow of the performance exhaust, being that it is just a cat back. I would be hard pressed to feel 2hp on a motorcycle, let alone on a 4,000lbs truck. Thanks for the info, sounds like I will save my pennies.
  24. How much real difference does the CAI and MAP calibration make? I have the 2019 LT TrailBoss with the dual exhaust outlets, and did the muffler and flapper delete and straight piped it. I have have the loudness and tone that I like, but wouldn't mind a boost with a CAI if it makes a real difference. I have a K&N air filter and an Airaid MIT, and am wondering if the Chevy intake would be even better, being that it comes with an ECU reflash?
  25. Yeah, that all makes sense. I have an appt to drop it off at the dealer in the morning. Explained to them how it is intermittent... I will put the stock tune back in today before taking it over. I am sure it isn't that...
