Following for sure!

It's only when I have the phone plugged in and utilizing Apple CarPlay. I have music on my phone, as well as music in the "cloud" in my apple music. I can skip songs by touching the next and back buttons on the screen, but if I use the steering wheel buttons on the back to skip songs that's the message I get. .. Very odd and frustrating!

Anyone else having this issue? When I have my phone plugged in, using Carplay... if I use the steering wheel controls to skip a song or the hard keys below the screen to skip a song.. this is the message I get. "Action Unavailable While Indexing." ... It's been happening since I got the truck and will happen 95% of the time. Ever so often it lets me skip songs, but at a terrible delay.

The only issue I seem to be having is when I connect my iPhone, have it playing on shuffle in Apple Music and go to skip to the next song. I keep getting a message that the "Action Unavailable While Indexing" in the screen in the middle of the instrument cluster. Anyone else getting this?

I'm going to have to have this completed.. sometimes it sounds like a bowling ball is rolling around in my bed when I'm going slow over all different terrain.. my 2019 trail boss didn't have this issue.

No problem! It's as close to plug and play as it gets. I bought the tails here - https://www.ebay.com/str/emanuelautoparts they came in perfect shape wrapped in the original wrap and packaging. I got the harness here - https://www.gen5diy.com/collections/19-20-sierra-products/products/2019-led-taillight-harness-1500-models ... disconnected the OG tail light under the truck on each side, unscrewed and removed them and the harnesses. Ran the new harness down and followed the same path as the OG tail lights, but didn't plug them in.. took the gen5diy harness and plugged one side into the end of the tail light harness, the other end into the truck. The resistor is part of the harness and in-line in between the tails and the truck. Just have to mount it up behind in the back of the truck into something metal to dissipate the heat.

So I ended up ordering the upgraded tails from a reputable seller online. They're the OEM genuine tails for the AT4 / Denali model. I ordered the halogen to LED transition harness from www.gen5diy.com and ran the wiring the exact same way it was on the original tails and plugged everything in and it works perfectly. The only "complaint" or bug that I see is having to screw in and mount the resistor somewhere tucked up in the back of the truck.

So I ordered the upgraded LED tails, with the harness from an OEM GM store online. .. I ordered the conversion harness from Gen5diy.com .. utilizing both, it was plug and play and they work perfectly. I just had to mount the resistor from the gen5DIY harness up tucked in the back of the truck. That's my only real bug or concern. They look great! .. I'll have to grab some photos at some point.

Glad I found this thread.. I just leased a 2020 Sierra Elevation and I'm hearing the same issue every time I back up my driveway into my garage. Low speed, on an incline upwards. The clunk in the rear of the vehicle. I thought I was nuts.. I traded a 2019 Trail Boss LT in for this and it didn't make any sort of sound at all. Ugh...

Checking in here as I was about to order one of these.. guess I'll hold up until it actually works.

Glad I found this.. hopefully the LED tails I ordered (Denali / AT4) work on my Elevation with this harness. I will update if so.

I see you have a 2020 Elevation as well. Did you replace the brake/turn signals and the reverse lights in the rear? I'm looking to swap out the actual whole tail light with the AT4/Denali but I can't seem to find answers if it's a direct swap... otherwise I'll get bulbs. Thanks!

I'm bumping this to see if anyone has successfully swapped the tail lights.. I'd love to order the AT4 / Denali tails and put them on my elevation.. just don't want to start digging if the harnesses don't match and etc. Anyone? Thanks!

I have 23,600 miles on a 2019 Trail Boss.. no joke.. and backing out of my driveway to drive downhill to the red light by my house.. when I come to a complete stop it feels like someone drives into the back of my truck.. as it downshifts. It’s horrible.
