  1. Complete rebuild including a new tq converter. That's the best option.
  2. Shaking my head Like man thats messed up- while shaking my head in sorrow...
  3. Iirc not 100% sure, but I remember the Johnson lifters being prime for engines with low vacuum. I think that was what everyone was choosing them for. Small cams did not need them as much. Been a decade since I built an engine, but that's what I remember.
  4. Usually when a gas gauge in any vehicle is off, it is due to a faulty sending unit in the tank. The gauge gets the signal from the sending unit. Then it moves. If you like to run close to empty all the time, it's just a matter of time before this happens...
  5. Iirc cylinder #8. Passenger rear next to fire wall. Im glad it was simple to find. I found I had no spark from that plug and went to swap coils. Just before I bolted that coil to another location I saw the Crack. The coil and connector will be here this weekend. I'll report the findings. All will go well I'm sure.
  6. Got a console sub project going on another site. Got these Clazzio seat covers for less then $400 and installed them. Love them. They feel better then factory leather. Anyone interested in purchasing these seat covers pm me for seller info.
  7. I assume since the rear passenger coil is located directly below the heater core hoses. Hot antifreeze, it was wet. I'm going to order a new coil and connector put them in and roll on.
  8. Note to self: check for spark. Leaking heater core hoses need to be dealt with ASAP...
  9. Sounds like: Non condensibles in the system. 134a systems are plagued with that issue. Given mvac standard vac is 0psi. If you have no leaks I'd just pull the refrigerant, vacuum deep as possible and recharge. If you did not change the drier in the driver's side condenser now is a great time. While at it id hose the ac condenser.
  10. No, it must be sent to me for durability and compatibility test before introduction to the mass as a hidden gem. Idk man. JJK...
  11. You are asking about day time driving lights. Iirc the pin is under the hood in the fuse box. I'll check this evening if no one post the info.
  12. Gas displaces oxygen. Period. Just not safe in a closed environment or unprescribed. How it affects each person is unknown. How long does it take the system to leak out once you put 134a in?
  13. If your evap is leaking that bad you would smell it. The service port you put refrigerant in will have a valve core in it. That can leak after you put refrigerant in. They go bad, so try that first to hope you do not have to pull the dash. How quick can you move to get the dash out is on you and a helper.
  14. Go over all the ground wires and clean and secure. That's a great start.
  15. I suggest putting the wiring back to stock and see if things change. They should, they did for me. That's how I end up posting that wiring schematic every chance I get. Been there. It should go back to normal when you return the truck to stock.
  16. Check your wiring again. You've got wires crossed or a dead battery. My first two thoughts Silverado wiring .pdf
  17. You mind giving a review after some time has past?
  18. Locksmith, they have the programer
  19. Rancho quick lift FTW. Night and day in terms of comfort. You will need 2" blocks in the rear to level the truck after.
  20. I settled on the rancho quick lift struts up front. They are legit 2"+ had to get the 2" block for the rear just to undo the Cali lean. Lol Had bilstein previously. Gained 1-1/2" after the ranchos. I'll post a pic later. I'll need larger tires if I get a body lift. Sorting through that idea now...
  21. Honestly that does not sound bad at all. All stuff I can knock out. Thanks for the fun down.
  22. Man it looks like it has more lift. I'm thinking my 2" front and rear will be just shy of a 4". Thanks!
  23. Rock on man. I figured the bumpers would be the worst. Been there, when I swapped to chrome bumpers that was a chore. What's one more time going to hurt
