  1. I'm very happy for you. I only said that just in case the OP was wondering why the truck doesn't allow it and it might be difficult to circumvent this feature. And if the OP chooses to bypass this feature, he might be risking a ticket. I've gotten cited by sharp-eyed cops for having ECE (read: non-DOT) headlights on my car. It wasn't directed to you anyway.
  2. It's illegal to have them illuminated while moving.
  3. I didn't even know that color existed, looking really good!
  4. We're consuming all kinds of resources. We're on all seven continents. We're causing the overpopulation of dogs and cats, along with cows and pigs. We'll mess up the planet a lot more if we were to give everybody electric cars. I had a bumper sticker on my car... save the planet, kill yourself. When the grid goes down, we'll be wishing for gas generators to recharge our cars.
  5. Species were already going extinct before the humans anyway! And we have humans making other humans extinct. The Brits are the only people who committed true genocide by wiping out an entire race.. the Tasmanian Aborigines. I hardly drive and would not mind one if they find a way for me to use solar panels that adds 10 miles every day.
  6. Same here, disabled Android Auto on mine for the same reason. I had to get my truck to FORGET the phone and reset it, otherwise it would keep trying to get my phone via Bluetooth. Very annoying.
  7. I had a topper on my 2016 F-150 and was annoyed by the fact I could not turn on the lamp in the back and illuminate the bed. Oddly, my gas mileage decreased by 2 mpg when I had the topper on. Others told me it'd help with aerodynamics but it didn't. I am not claustrophobic and camp a lot. The Cheyenne bed is much deeper than Ford's and I am looking at tonneau covers. Don't think I'd go back to toppers.
  8. I seem to remember being the only one reporting issues with the rear suspension on my RST Z71 and was mercilessly mocked here until others reported the same thing. That was when it was a first-year model and the Chevy fanboys got all over me over it.
  9. Hmm, I could get a Chevy, run for the congress and get reimbursed for a lot of miles. All the Chevys at the ranch are accurate. All of them have done trips to Henderson or Tucson, sometimes to Hermosillo. I haven't driven much on mine to really notice.
  10. That's interesting.. you don't have "Silverado" on the bottom left. Mine has "Cheyenne" on the bottom left along with "RST" on the right.
  11. Wow, I have to agree here, the 2019 RST we have has a base price of $44,500 with $8,660 worth of options, total $53,160, and it was bought for $42,000. Not bad for a first year model. For $60k, I'd have gone for the LTZ.
  12. Ah, I take back what I said.. the dealership said it is broken, I am supposed to have it. LOL.
  13. I do have that button if you're wondering but it's never done anything. No light either.
  14. That's the Vegas we know and love! Perhaps you should have opted for Henderson instead. I lived there a while ago, way, way, way nicer than Vegas! Could not stand the dry air so I moved back to Orange County.
  15. I don't unlock my car from a distance in bad areas when I'm holding bags of groceries. Same reason why I live in a gated community.
  16. I don't even drink beer and nobody makes food the way I like it. It seems I use the back seat a lot more than others, I'd say about 4 out of 5 last trips I made, I used the rear seat as a trunk so I use it a lot more than others. The button is a much nicer feature for me compared to others, obviously. If some want to confuse convenience with laziness, so be it.
  17. It so happens I am so lazy I would not consider a car with manual windows either. I am also so lazy I would not consider a car with manual locking front hubs either.
  18. Yes, the GMC kept the buttons on all four doors, even in the lowly Elevation. Chevrolet no longer has buttons on rear doors, even on high end models. That's why I am looking at GMC, not Chevrolet.
  19. I looked at a 2020 LTZ in the U.S. a while back, I can confirm it did not have all four. Some folks chimed in with earlier 2020 LTZs that had it, but it seemed to be in the middle of being phased out. Don't know about HC though.
  20. And I use mine a lot. I'm always getting stuff out of the shed and putting it in the back seat since the bumpy road would get the stuff all the way to the front of the bed and I got tired of reversing and then braking hard to get the stuff to the back of the bed. However, I do miss the Lobo's keypad to get in. I wish Chevrolet would implement that. I know there's the dealer add-on, but if the battery goes out, you need a new one.
  21. Apparently I can see his posts if somebody responds to him. Not too surprisingly, facts are wrong again. LOL, Ford dropped that button on the rear doors of the F-150.... Newsflash, the F-150 (or even the Mexican Lobo) has NEVER had buttons on rear doors. I'd know that for a fact, we have plenty at the ranch.
  22. I didn't know the "standard" was specific to the Trail Boss. Now that clears it up. Thanks.
  23. I just realized I don't have auto-start-stop in my Mexican version. All the trucks at the ranch have auto-start-stop though.
  24. The idea of sleeping and letting the truck brake and steer is very appealing. Once it becomes available, I am taking my Silverado out of the ranch and getting the 2022. Heck, I could buy it 2,000 miles away and have it drive me all the way back to California. Having driven a car with adaptive cruise control in Germany, I wouldn't like it very much here in Orange County since trucks go 55 mph while cars travel in excess of 80 mph and the car would slam its brakes every time it thought I was about to crash in the back of trucks when I was actually about to change lanes. I believe Super Cruise will change lanes if it approaches a truck though. The Tesla does.
  25. Okay, y'all got me curious.. maybe I overlooked it.. so I went out and took a picture of it. Confirmed what I suspected.. no Z71 on mine even though mine's Z71. Maybe I don't have the Z71 "All-Weather" - just the regular floor mats? I don't even see that on the window sticker. Somebody said it's standard.. I don't think it is since I have the RST Z71. I think it's optional or only for 2020 and after...
