  1. I feel your pain. I went in for recall and ended up with a dent in my driver door and a filthy passenger seat. They'll be getting a bill for PDR guy. They wanted to fix it and I said NFW you can't even do a software update without F'n up my truck. Dealers suck. All they're good at is taking your money. On the other hand, the local Ford dealer I use for my Shelby is great. Might be time to go to a Raptor.
  2. No paint missing, just tiny scratch.
  3. Slight scratch I can live with.
  4. So I've been putting off taking my AT4 in for the recalls.Take it in yesterday finally. When I pick it up today, it's got a dent in the driver door right on the body line. Dealer doesn't think PDR can take it out and talking about respraying whole door. No F'n way for a small dent. Can PDR take this out.
  5. Get a set of these. Bought them to work on my Shelby but got the 7000 series to lift the truck too. For oil changes I just use ramps.
  6. Shhh! DOn't tell anyone. I had Mobil 1 5w-20 laying around so I used that for my first oil change. The engine didn't blow up. I usually use Amsoil and change every 5K. Will go to 0w-20 when I use up the 5w-20 I have left.
  7. Looking at the same wheels. I have an AT4 and I think the stock 18's are 8.5" with +26 offset. Gonna go with the +20 offset and they should only stick out about 1/2 more. Don't know what size you're looking at, but also the AT4 has a stock 2" lift.
  8. Sport mode changes the shift points and tightens up the steering. You get better response from the throttle. I never checked, but I think that the rpm's at 70mph should be the same whether in sport mode or normal mode. I could be wrong on that one.
  9. I had a 3 level laminectomy and fusion (8 screws/2 rods) in January. L2-L5. My AT4, basically same seat, is more comfortable than my 18 F150 was. I can drive it all day with no problems, but then again, I got the OK to get back on my Harley too. My point is, it's not the seat. Get your back checked.
  10. Not everyone lives in Texas. I'm not running my A/C in January in the Northeast. You guys do what you want. It's just a switch.
  11. Manufacturer should've made it a toggle switch.
  12. You're overthinking it. All the Eliminator does is turn the A/S/S switch into a toggle switch. It remembers the last position of the switch. Had one in an F150 for a year with no problems.
  13. Since when has a first year design come out "Bug Free". I happen to like the tailgate and use it almost every time I load-up the bed. With the height of the sides, it makes things a lot easier. The first time I used the step I looked for the hinge to lock. When I realized I couldn't lock it, I thought it was odd. I totally agree. I stopped leaving the hitch ball in after banging my shins a few times and having the pin lock seize-up on me. BTW, I have the convertible twin of your vette.
  14. All that space is for wheel travel when you're going off road.
  15. I got 22,000 points with my AT4. I agree that GM sucks for doing this. I came over from Ford. Their app was free. Also traffic on their Nav was free, except their Nav sucked. More importantly the 2018 F150 totally sucked. The range on my remote start works from inside my house and I've started my truck from at least 100 yds away.
  16. I'm in Highlands. Little bit of a trip but if you get stuck let me know.
  17. Where are you in NJ? If you run into problems let me know. It was harder to get the dash back together than getting it apart. Just take your time. My other half was amazed that there was no cursing coming from the garage.
  18. Get the Autostop Eliminator. Takes a little while to install but well worth it.
  19. Had my AT4 for about 6 weeks and today I noticed that whoever applied the GMC to my MultiPro must've been drunk. It's about 1/2" off center and tilted down to the right. Not a big deal since I'm switching to blacked out emblems. Became more noticeable since I removed the Sierra badging.
  20. Lets put it this way. My front bumpers looked like they had chicken pox after a few thousand miles.
  21. Sorry, but I've owned Fords for the past 18 years and the paint quality on their trucks just plain sucks. Foreign objects in the paint, tiny pock marks, and don't get me started on the quality of their aluminum panels. Dimples all over. One thing I noticed was how good the paint and panels were on my AT4.
  22. Got mine right after the recall. It's been in for about a month and no power problems.
  23. These problems seem pretty light compared to the 2018 F150. Go over to F150 Forum and take a look. I traded mine in after 8 months. Couldn't take it anymore between the crappy trans and the oil burning V8. This is my first GM truck and after almost 2K miles, my AT4 has been fine. BTW, my last 7 trucks were Fords.
