'19 Silverado Z71 Mild Prerunner Build
code-man26 replied to code-man26's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
I dunno, something doesn't sound right about the 1" lift Deavers (I hope you're right though). I haven't seen anything like that on the Deaver website. Give them a call and inquire about the 2019 Silverados. I always prefer to contact the manufacturer rather than a re-sale shop if I can.- 79 replies

Nice! Which UCA's did you go with? Also, which Deaver pack did you get? I've been hounding them about a mini pack for our 2019's that would give a 2" lift but they haven't released the product yet. *Dropping my truck off at Baja Kits right now* ?- 79 replies

After looking at the truck for a couple weeks all raked out like it is (sat 1.75" higher in the front) I decided to install a 1" lift block under the leaf springs to ease up on the rake a bit. https://vod.ebay.com/vod/FetchOrderDetails?itemid=252445736848&transid=2535146040015&ul_noapp=true- 79 replies

Found this little gem on ebay and decided "What the heck... Who doesn't love AMERICA?!!!!!" Next, it was time to get some real hikin shoes on her. In anticipation for the new suspension requiring wheels with a minimum of 4.75". I ended up finding a set of 5 bran new Method Double Standards with Toyo Open Country R/T tires mounted for a killer deal on the http://www.race-dezert.com Classifieds section. In the end I had to add 1/2" wheel spacers on the front wheels since the wheel just barely contacted the brake caliper and 1/2" spacers were the smallest I could find. Breaks my heart to have to use wheel spacers but....what're ya gonna do? Wheels: Method 304 Double Standard (machine finish) 17x8.5 Tires: Toyo Open Country R/T 285/70/17- 79 replies

First off, I wanted to get the front end to the height it would end up at with my future plans. I purchased the Moto Fab 3" leveling top strut mount spacers because (1) That's the amount of lift the new suspension and King coilover shocks will give me and (2) They seem to be more stout than the plastic lower strut mount spacer option. https://motofablifts.com/i-30558234-07-19-chevy-gmc-silverado-sierra-1500-3-front-leveling-lift-kit.html?ref=category:1390599- 79 replies

Hey guys, I've been asked in the past to start a build thread on here of my 19 Z71. Well, since she's going in the shop for suspension upgrades (Brenthal Industries) on Monday I thought now would be a good time to start with what I've done so far. Started Off: June 21, 2019 2019 Silverado 1500 Z71, LT, Crew Cab w/ 6' bed (hard to find), 5.3L, 8spd trans. BONE STOCK

While investigating an attachment point for my light bar I found these fins/vanes in front of the radiator. They look like they rotate and all connected by a rod that is most likely controlled by a servo. My guess is that they're there to restrict airflow in super cold temperatures to allow the engine to run at optimal temp.

Fleabay Silverado grill W/marker & driving lights...
code-man26 replied to Cohocarl's topic in Classifieds (Buy/Sell/Trade)
The running lights are the three amber ones. The two pods are accessory lights that would not be for use on the road. Do not make the mistake of wiring these 'accessory lights' into your running lights or you'll be blinding people all day long. -
What Have You Done With Your T1 Today ?????
code-man26 replied to Sierra Dan's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
No I haven't. And truthfully, I'm waiting for Baja Kits to release their stock length full fabricated lower control arm before I buy shocks to ensure I get the proper length for the increase in travel. Hopefully by then Fox will have their kit together. (Nice profile pic. Raced a couple Mountain Creek GRT downhill races in my day) -

I will for sure. I actually went with the Baja Kits boxed upper arm. Their Black Friday deal was too hard to pass up. Once I get the upper arms and Fox coilovers installed I'll do a full build thread and post here. -
Highest Mileage T-1?

13K and my old issue is the old lady that missed her brake pedal coming in behind me at a traffic light and crushed my bumper and beside... probably saved her from getting seriously t-boned though. -
Post your Silverado with aftermarket wheels
code-man26 replied to aha1987's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
The "spokes" as I will refer to them, contacted the side of the caliper. I know 4.75" backspacing (which is what these have) clears on other wheels but apparently not the Method Double Standard wheel. Breaks my heart having to use a spacer but, eh, it's only 1/2". -

MotoFab 3" front leveling kit (even though it's a little nose high) (going to add Deaver leaf springs mini-pack in the rear for a 2" lift when it's released) 17" Method Double Standard wheels (had to use 1/2" spacer to clear the caliper) Toyo Open Country R/T 285/70/17 -

What Have You Done With Your T1 Today ?????
code-man26 replied to Sierra Dan's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
Waited and searched for this truck. Crew cab with a real 6.5' bed. Not the stubby 5.5' bed that most are coming with nowadays. Window Tint: 50% with 8" strip across top of windshield Lift: Motofab 3" leveling strut spacer Exhaust: MBRP 2.5" cat-back exhaust. I went with a system because it retained the factory tubing diameter in hopes of gaining a 'mature' sounding exhaust but man was that a mistake. For some reason this MBRP system DROOOONES! Like, BAD!. It sounds like a 16 year old kid just found his fathers hacksaw and went to town on his exhaust pipe. I will most definitely be swapping it out for another system once I hear some real-world examples. Wheels: 17 x 8.5 Method Double Standard rims with 285/70/17 Toyo Open Country RT tires. The wheels did contact the front brake caliper just a hair so I had to add 1/4" wheel spacers to achieve proper clearance. I would definitely go with a 35" tire next time though, I just got a SUPER killer deal on 5 of these wheels. Styling: USA Flag tailgate letters look pretty slick! Next up: Fox suspension on all 4 corners, Camburg Racing upper control arms, Deaver leaf pack and Baja Designs 30" light bar. -
Another wheel/tire question for 3 inch lift
code-man26 replied to jordanl010's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
Currently running 285/70/17 with a Motofab 3" leveling strut spacer. No lift on back end yet, waiting for a Deaver leaf pack. I would go with a larger diameter tire the next time around.
