  1. Not looking to start a debate on if 93 (what ever the highest grade of gas is in your area) vs 87. I have the 6.2 and I have some local stations with 93 so I use that when possible otherwise 91 (in my previous RAM I used either 93 or 91 for 4 years so I am used to the extra cost). There is a station in town that also sells 90 octane but is ethanol free. Just looking for thoughts between 93/91 with up to 10% ethanol (I think that is the amount) and 90 that is ethanol free. On a side note I previously tried the 90 eth free in my RAM and that truck did not like that gas (typically would not start on the first try on a cold start)....
  2. GM intake does not void the warranty as it is a GM product. GM CAI does have a flash/tune. Not sure what it does. Other brands could void warranty if dealership and/or GM can prove that the aftermarket CAI caused your problem.
  3. I know that the GM CAI comes with a tune/flash of the ECU. Not sure what is does.
  4. I bought my 2020 on Jan, 31. I have gotten one OTA update since then and it was shortly after I bought it. I check periodically.
  5. I was looking at getting either the Borla Exhaust or the GM Performance exhaust for 2020 Silverado TB with the 6.2 https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/performance/62l-rear-exit-through-the-bumper-exhaust-upgrade-system-with-quad-black-chrome-tips-by-borla-associated-accessories-19419438?year=2020&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado 1500&modelId=491&body=Crew Cab Pickup&bodyId=22&wheel=Standard Box&wheelId=652&trim=LT Trail Boss&trimId=5101&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=6.2L V8 GAS&engineId=5920&bodyNumDoors=5&categoryId=12009 https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/62l-short-wheel-base-cat-back-dual-exit-exhaust-system-upgrade-84527234?year=2020&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado 1500&modelId=491&body=Crew Cab Pickup&bodyId=22&wheel=Standard Box&wheelId=652&trim=LT Trail Boss&trimId=5101&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=6.2L V8 GAS&engineId=5920&bodyNumDoors=5 I have heard audio clips of the GM exhaust on youtube and it seems to give the sound that I am looking for (more noise when I want it but not obnoxious) and a claimed 13 HP. For the Borla exhaust which model is the one that GM sells (touring, S or atak)? I have emailed borla support but haven't gotten a reply yet. Also does anyone know the claimed performance numbers for the borla exhaust? I was also planning on adding the CAI from GM as well.
  6. Mine does it all the time for the AC. I have yet to have the roof popping noise.
  7. Nice choice. I have a 20 TB with the 6.2. Love it. I am in central Maine.
  8. What area of Maine? What did you order?
  9. I don't notice anything abnormal with my 6.2. Can you post an audio clip?
  10. So if I have the AC on the auto stop doesn't work which I would expect. I also noticed that if I just have the defrost on that auto stop does not work. I attached a picture with the defrost circled. Even with the AC turned off. I know that some vehicles will turn the AC on when the defroster is on so I am guessing that this is the case here.
  11. for what it is worth my best 25 mpg is 23.8, best 50 is 21 and my best 400 is 16.7. I have 3500 miles on the truck. The best 25 and 50 were both on a recent trip that was mostly country roads with speed limit of 55. Mix of flat and hills. Pretty good IMO with the trailboss (2in lift, duratracs and no front chin spoiler). I haven't gotten enough miles to get a good 400 mile trip that didn't have a lot of idling and stop and go. We went from winter to 90 degrees last week and with C19 I haven't been going anywhere for the previous 10 weeks (work commute is 2 miles).
  12. I would think you could even do better than those numbers. 8 or 10 speed. I drove 230 miles of a mix highway at 75-80, regular roads and dirt roads with a little stop and go. Averaged 18. I have the 6.2 in a trail boss.
  13. Chargers. Phones, laptops and my sons ipad.
  14. I don't notice any sluggish behavior or even notice when it does it's thing with my 6.2 and DFM. I press the gas and truck wants to launch every time from any speed. I have yet to "really" get on the throttle as I am just finishing the break in period. I didn't notice it in the 19 TB that test drove a year ago that had the 5.3 but that was only about 20 miles. Now the auto stop is another thing, while not super slow to start back up it is noticeable. About 50% of the time I forget to turn it off until after the first time the truck shuts off. Does this even make a MPG difference?
  15. Thomcat--do you work for Chevy/GM. Not asking to be a D. Just wondering how you know all this?
  16. It doesn't appear to be that but just to make sure I will buckle it and see if the noise goes away.
  17. Brand new truck has developed a "rattle" in past few days. Sort of sounds like a golf ball rolling around in the glove box or storage bin. More so on the passenger side and seems to come from behind the dash/glove box area. I don't have anything in the door storage on the storage around the center console. I have emptied both glove boxes. Seat belts are not causing this. Last Friday we had a lot of sleet and freezing rain so I had a lot of ice build up on the truck (wiper area, mirror, off road running boards, wheel wells etc). I got all of those removed at the car wash last night. The noise still persists. I only get the noise at low speed and typically turning or accelerating/braking. No noise when driving over bumps. The noise started after the ice/sleet/freezing rain last friday.... I haven't had time to get under the truck and see if there is any lingering ice that could be causing this. Any particular area to look at where ice could be hiding? Other thoughts? On a side note my best 25 mile MPG is 20.2. Being a 6.2 and TB I am very happy (that 25 had some auto 4x4 and full 4x4 too) as it was a mix of some city (20%) and 80% country roads 45-55 mph.
  18. That is not what is on mine either. I can take real pictures later but here is basically what I have from the accessories page. Front Mat https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/first-row-premium-all-weather-floor-liners-in-dark-atmosphere-with-chrome-z71-logo-(for-models-with-center-console)-84348119?year=2020&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado 1500&modelId=491&body=Crew Cab Pickup&bodyId=22&wheel=Short Box&wheelId=651&trim=LT Trail Boss&trimId=5101&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=6.2L V8 GAS&engineId=5920&bodyNumDoors=5 Back mat. My under seat rear storage looks like this pic too. I don't have the larger under seat storage that comes out to the edge of the seat. https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/crew-cab-second-row-interlocking-premium-all-weather-floor-liner-in-jet-black-for-at4-z71-84348198?year=2020&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado 1500&modelId=491&body=Crew Cab Pickup&bodyId=22&wheel=Short Box&wheelId=651&trim=LT Trail Boss&trimId=5101&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=6.2L V8 GAS&engineId=5920&bodyNumDoors=5
  19. Awesome looking truck. Extra lift? Tire size? Bumper. Thanks.
  20. I would think that would be a pretty smooth tire. Are you still running the stock rims?
