  1. I did some running around today, tried three places (Tire Kingdom, Tire Choice, Pep Boys) and none would price match. They all said that price is $50 less than they even get it for. Discount Tire claimed they would match it, but I needed a physical quote, which I don't have, and the nearest location is about 90 minutes away. Tire Choice and Pep Boys said they would install them for like $150, so that is still an option. The Tire Kingdom guy claimed tires from Walmart, Sam's Club and Costco are all quality rejects that they buy for pennies on the dollar. Hard to believe there is some massive conspiracy, but I am going to swing by a Walmart SuperCenter tomorrow and see if I get a good feel about it. Might order them if it doesn't seem the place is run by idiots.
  2. Fair point on the warranty, but not sure I want the Walmart tire techs doing the work. There's probably a 98% chance it would be fine, but still a small risk, imo.
  3. All, I am looking to get new tires for my truck (Leveled '19 HC). I think I have narrowed down my selection to Nitto Recon Grapplers 285/55R22 (considering the Toyo AT3's as well). Everywhere I can find online, sells them for ~$500 a tire. Walmart is selling them for ~$400 a tire, with free shipping. My question is, has anyone purchased tires from Walmart, and had a reputable shop put them on? I try to avoid Walmart at all costs, but $400 is $400. I assume these are the same tires (quality wise) that I would get from anywhere else, with the same warranty, correct? Just trying to understand if all tires are the same, no matter the place of purchase. Thanks in advance!
  4. Nothing yet. I went to an off-road shop yesterday and the guy is going to research and get back to me. Let me know if you find anything.
  5. I'm looking to get this size for my leveled High Country. Will these fit without a lift? Thanks in advance.
  6. This looks awesome, and it's what I want to do to mine. What did you do to the suspension to get these to fit? I have a leveled HC with stock 22s. Everywhere I look online says this size won't fit with my setup? Thanks,
  7. I see you have FL plates. I'm near the Tampa area, is this shop close to Tampa/St. Pete? Looks great btw.
  8. Hey All, I know.....another Bilstein thread, but I had a question and didn't want to dig through the other 1000 threads for the answer(s). I got a quote to get the 5100's installed on my truck, was talking to a friend of mine who said not to do it, cause the ride quality will be terrible, i.e., feeling every bump in the road. He said to just go with the leveling blocks or whatever they are called from Rough Country (or any company really). I don't tow much, and when I do, its not a lot of weight, and I don't go off-road. I use my truck as my daily driver, and am simply looking to level out the front end, so I can get one tire size bigger when it is time for new tires. Everyone mostly raves about the 5100's, but I suppose they may or may not be what I need, for what I am looking to do. Any thoughts?
  9. Hey Andrew, Any luck with this issue? My check engine light came on today, got it scanned, and P0328 came back. This is actually the second time this code has come up in the twelve months I have owned the truck. The first time was directly after a car wash, and it down poured at my house yesterday for at least sixty minutes, so it has to do with the sensor getting moisture. In both instances, the light went off after a few hours. Just curious to see how your issue was resolved. Thanks in advance,
  10. Has anyone had an issue with the Reverse Safety feature not working? I installed my Pedal Monster last week, seemingly without issue. I was able to pair it to the app, and toggle with the sensitivity settings. I took it for a test drive, and noticed the immediate difference, but upon backing into my driveway, noticed it was far too touchy in reverse. Upon review, the app said Reverse Safety was was disabled. I went into Settings and selected Auto Detect, but it said Reverse Safety disabled, using Standard Setting. I called Banks and was told that Reverse Safety is not currently an option on my make/model/year, and that they are working to add it. I have a 2019 Silverado 6.2L. The feedback I am looking for is; has anyone come across this issue and is Reverse Safety disabled on yours as well (preferably 6.2L engines)? One of the primary reasons I went with Banks was the Reverse Safety feature. I know I can toggle some of the other settings to minimize the impact, but still seemed like a downer to find that out. As always, thanks in advance.

  12. Check Carvana before you do the dealer trade. My wife had a Fusion lease ending, buyout was $13k, dealer offered $17k, Carvana offered $27k. Of course, you'll need to find a replacement vehicle, which if that can't be done, I would just buy it out and keep looking for the next 12 months, just my opinion. Good luck!
  13. Thanks for the help. Doubt the truck is a metric truck, as it was originally sold to a dealer in FL, and has stayed in FL based on the CarFax service history. Even though the print out from Auto Zone read in miles, based on how damn close it was (forgot the exact mileage I was on), I will also go with the miles/kilometers conversion.
  14. Hey All, I bought a used 2019 High Country back in July. When I bought the vehicle, the odometer had like 31k miles on it, which aligned with what the CarFax report was showing. Fast forward to this week. When I was out running some errands, my check engine light popped on. Conveniently, I was going to be passing by an Auto Zone in a mile or so, so I stopped in and had them read the code. The employee hooked the reader up and gave me my printout. The issue was a Knock Sensor, but what caught my eye more was the Fix Finder report said my truck has 60k on the odometer, when it only reads 37k. My questions are, are those machines accurate when pulling the mileage? Should I be going back to the dealer and see what they say? Has anyone else ever come across this? Thanks in advance. I'm looking forward to the feedback.
  15. Can this be installed by a regular schmuck (me) with basic tools or should I have the dealer do it? How long did it take you to complete the install? Thanks,
  16. Hey All, Just purchased a 6.2 and am looking for the best exhaust option. I have never put any money into an exhaust before and I have read through numerous posts with tons of differing opinions and got a bit lost/confused. I am not looking for anything crazy that will piss off the wife or neighbors, but just something to make it sound a little more beefy. I'm sure the best options will be the most expensive, so I guess I am looking for "cheaper" initial options prior to putting more money into the vehicle at a later date. So I guess the feedback I am looking for is: Best Bang for the Buck (Under $200) - Best Moderate Investment ($200 - $1000) - Best Option ($1000+ presumably) - Hoping for a consensus Thanks in advance!
  17. Got it. Misunderstood your initial post. I agree that any mod would not be cost efficient, if even possible. I guess I've always been a creature of habit using a key fob, it doesn't bother me.
  18. My 2019 can do it. There is a setting in the Vehicle (I think) settings on the main screen. I believe you have to double tap either lock or unlock on the key fob to do it, once the setting is completed.
  19. FL peninsula for 95%+ of my driving. Never more than 150 ft. above sea level, probably usually closer to 50 ft. I agree with most that 91 will suffice, but I will probably still stick with the 93 for piece of mind.
  20. Hey All, Just traded in my 5.3 for a 6.2. I've always used Race Trac/Wawa (87 octane in the 5.3), as they are closest to the house/work. Question is, for the 6.2, would you go with 93 octane at Race Trac/Wawa for $3.55 (current price) or 91 octane at Costco for $3.05 (current price). Just curious if the extra $10-$12 per tank is necessary for 93 over 91. I have a Costco closeish to the house and another on the way home from work. Not completely ideal, but also not out of the way. I have no problem spending the extra ~$500 over the course of the year if needed to keep the engine in optimal running condition. Also, I don't want to get in an octane pissing match, just looking for feedback. Thanks,
  21. I can beat that offer.......I'll give you $12k cash.......and I will drive it to you today
  22. Thanks for the info. I will give this a shot. All of my attempts were in 2020, so its possible something changed.
  23. Do you have any other info pertaining to this update? My 2019 5.3 8spd LTZ needs this ASAP. I've had it in three different dealerships, bugged GM on Twitter and still have gotten nowhere. I just want to make sure I am armed with as much data as possible before calling the dealership again. I'm sure they hear "I saw it online" all the time. Thanks in advance!
  24. Hey all. My wife is in the market for a three row SUV. Does anyone know if any of them have ventilated seats in the second row? We live in FL and it's always hot, so just looking out for the kids (first world issue, I know). It's hard to Google since the searches primarily bring back vented seats in the front. I think I saw the Kia or Hyundai have them, but not a huge fan of those, even with their very strong reviews. Would love to stay in the GM family with the new Tahoe, but an Explorer/Expedition would work too, or even a German brand. Thanks in advance.
  25. Figured I'd try bumping this one more time. Any Putco Blade owners that could take a pic of where their bar sits relative to the ridge and/or dimples stamped in the metal? I might be making a mountain of a mole hill with the dealer, but I'd figure I would reach out. Thanks in advance!
