  1. Ended up picking one up for a local parts place. They also gave me a 47% military discount so that made it an easy buy of $172. I guess I will be replacing that this weekend. Going to keep the axel with the torn boot and replace the parts I need to replace and keep it as a spare.
  2. Did you end up needing to separate the the UCA from the spindle when you did yours? also found a cv axle from my local parts place. Ended up getting it for $172 CAD ( regular price was $280) they gave me the military discount.
  3. Installed both front and rear. Never needed any tape. Only issue is I ended up snapping the passenger front one trying to install it. Besides that your windows that have an auto up function might not be happy with the additional friction from the visors. To reset that setting you just need to lower the window all the way down and hold the window button until your window is all the way up again
  4. Depends what ones you got. Are they the in channel ones or the tape on kind? I installed the in channel ones that didn’t require any double sided tape
  5. What have I done for my K2 today. Well great question. I ended up finding a torn CV boot. Now researching my options.
  6. Well just found that the passenger outer CV Boot is torn. Sent grease flying everywhere. Looking for better brand of axle replacement. What’s the best options for these trucks? ( planning to replace the axel and rebuild the current one to have as a spare) 2017 Silverado 1500LT True North edition
  7. Not the same generation of Silverado (I have a 2017). But I installed these switches
  8. Ended up upgrading the stock plastic “skid plate” with a set of the aluminum ones that o threw a few Coats of rattle can Bedliner on the truck. Hope I never need them but glad they will. E there to provide a bit more protection compared to the plastic ones.
  9. I’m curious how the fit and finish is on these. I’ve been thinking about attempting to make something similar for the front end of the truck bed
  10. Finally found some time do do a deep clean of the inside of the truck from the last winter. Also started to bed line the aluminum skid plates that I bought 2 years ago. Hope I will be able to install them at some point this week
  11. Started looking into rear bumpers today. Found these bumpers A2 Series Rear Bumper anybody ever own one or installed one? They have most of the features i am looking for ( shackle mount, led light mount cut outs, while still maintaining the side steps and stock hitch ) just wondering if anybody has installed one or seen one up close
  12. I am using this flip up license plate holder https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01N4AKOEB/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_KWZFX7FY8JVGWXVHZXCR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  13. Didn’t like having to rely on a wireless winch controller. So had some time and extra beer and relocated the handheld control connector for my winch. Also had a helper today
  14. Washed the salt off of it as well as cleaned the dash, cleaned the salt off the inside of the foot wells. Just looking forward to the spring so I can do a deep cleaning
  15. Not sure how to post videos? Do I need to upload them to YouTube? Tried to upload one in the post but the video dose t work
  16. Upgraded the lights on my Magnum Headache rack. Now they are all signal, stop, reverse, marker and also have an amber strobe function to them. Just need to synchronize them and I will be all set
  17. How are those step rails mounted. To the body or the frame of the truck? what company are they?
  18. I have a Bubba rope as well as a yellow snatch strap in my truck. As well as a couple soft shackles i avoid chains cause when they break they tend to go flying around. I’ve seen pieces of chain fly through windshields and tailgates.
  19. Once spring hits and it gets warmer I will most likely tear into this again and figure out a way to enable the clutch lever. But for right now it still works. Also goi g to be finding a new battery for the remote ( just in case)
  20. Your right. The one I have does come with a wireless remote. But some winches do not. As for the clutch lever I need to take a better look and see if I can fabricate something up
  21. The only down side to this is that I. Ant access the spool clutch to be able to free spool the line out unless I have the grill removed. And I would also recommend having a wireless controler set up as well
