  1. This just happened on my truck yesterday. But I was able to clear the code by re-starting.
  2. https://realtruck.com/p/go-rhino-rb20-running-boards/grh-69409980pc/?cparam=b305ac536fe51440f96200af6c766947&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9-H3h-vN5wIVl7fsCh37hAZnEAQYASABEgLdi_D_BwE The mounting brackets do hang a bit lower then I would’ve liked, eventually I’m just gonna make some new brackets that sit flat
  3. Happens to me from time to time, I just manually shut it down when it happens because it’s intermittent. Just another electrical bug on these trucks.
  4. Thanks! I used the high gloss white spray paint from Rust-Oleum, I did a coat of zinc first to help the paint stick, then 3 coats of paint. Overkill but I don’t want to have to touch it up in the future.
  5. Its sheet metal, I used some galvanized aluminum flashing I had laying around the shop. Just remove the grill and you can pull it apart from the clips then measure the opening and cut the metal to fit in there.
  6. Thanks guys, glad you like it. I was going to do red to match the tow hooks but it didn’t pop enough for me.
  7. Thanks! Not the best pic But you get the idea
  8. That would be perfect if it didn’t have the two spot lights. Plus if you look close the pic of the one on the truck is different, the bottom parts looks different as well as the lettering.
  9. Here are my mods so far: 35x12.5 18 Atturo trail blade MT Black wheel locks/wheel studs 1.25 “ spacers all around trimmed mud flaps and removed bracket Rigid SAE LED Fog lights Sea Light LED headlights high & low Black Rhino side steps removed all the badges except the grill Z71 white inlay front grill over Chevy custom black leather interior with white stitching
  10. I know we all willingly purchased these trucks but seems wrong that we’re basically the test dummies for the new platform. Maybe GM didn’t do enough r&d before putting them into consumers hands. I love this truck but I can’t help but feel duped. I think GM should work out some kind of kick back to us for helping them figure all these problems out, like that would ever happen.
  11. Myself. Honestly haha. I even passed up the free oil change! I’ve had bad experiences with all dealers I’ve delt with Toyota and Ford not just singling out Chevy, and I love my truck just didn’t expect to be paying all this money and not get a little better service, and gm owning up to a massive issue that could seriously hurt or kill people
  12. Seems like these trucks don’t like any external battery connections, or splicing of the oem wires for anything aftermarket. I have Ridged fog lights wired to a separate switch with a relay and I’ve gotten the brake warning lights before too.
  13. I have a 19 TB 5.3 with the 6 speed. I’ve had the shutter happen on occasion usually when gassing it out of a corner and the tranny is in between shifts, it’s like the tranny is searching for the gear. Every now and then I get a hard shift from 2-1. Its pretty random and hard to duplicate for the dealer. Now I drive in L5 all the time and I don’t have any issues. Tranny shifts smooth as butter. Idk. my truck is at 4,700 miles
  14. Yup it’s crazy. My truck is used for work, I’m self employed so no truck means no income for me. They didn’t seem to care though and didn’t offer me any alternatives or solutions. Just bring it in and we’ll take a look haha. I also mentioned the loud clicking noise I get on cold starts in the morning (not normal) and the service manager flat out told me it’s normal! He said it’s the lifters, they are loud on these trucks...this is over the phone without even hearing the noise!? These dealers/GM can’t be trusted!
  15. I lost my brakes once at around 3000 miles. I’m at 4700 now and it’s hasn’t happened since. When it happened I was leaving for work in the morning, I used the key to start the truck as I have a low trim level so no remote start or key fob features. The truck showed all the same messages mentioned here and check engine light came on. I was lurking the forums so I was kinda aware of the issue from this thread so I turned the ignition off completely and back on again, sure enough all the codes cleared minus the check engine and the brakes worked just fine after that. The check engine code cleared it’s self later that day. i called the dealer, they said to bring the truck in and that they haven’t heard anything like this happening, no loaners available blah blah. I live a far distance from the dealer and do my own service on the truck so they aren’t doing me any favors. I was gonna bring my truck in for the recalls that are out but now Im going to wait till the dust settles and they have real fixes instead crutches and bandaids.
  16. New to the forums figures I would chronicle my Chevy build here. Came over from a 2013 Tacoma. I’ve done a few mods, much more planned on the way so I’ll crate a new thread to track the build in case anyone is interested.
