  1. Wait you removed the top strut bolt that holds the spring down? Did you remove it completely? If so you will need to pull the coil over out and use a spring compressor to re-secure the nut.
  2. 35/12.5/17 Eibach pro truck springs and struts. Trailboss 2” block in the rear.
  3. Some updates to the truck. removed 1.25” spacers removed rigid fog lights removed the white lettering from front grill. Reason: I felt the front end was getting busy, and I kinda missed the all black look. rigid fog lights were pulling too many amps from the truck and I was having some issues with the truck not wanting to start and giving me electrical issues. Now they are gone and things are working perfectly. Im keeping the spacers because I still have the stock wheels but I don’t need them for the new wheels with the correct offset of 0mm.
  4. Just marked the areas I waned to trim, used a fine-saw for the cut and some sand paper to clean up and round off the edges. I would have removed them if there wasn’t a hole in the fender for them to snap into. Not a big fan of the plug look.
  5. Decided to remove the spacers, I was getting a noise in the front end and it was the front driver side spacer, one of the bolts came loose somehow I triple checked the torque and used lock-tight on the studs. I was planning to take them off anyways because the new wheels at 0mm offset have the perfect poke with the stock fenders. Also cleaned up the front end and lost the white lettering in the grill and the rigid fog lights, my led headlights have plenty of light and don’t blind oncoming traffic. The bumper caps clean up the bottom valance. Makes the red hooks pop more. Build has been slow But will continue...
  6. Yeah I had a hard time getting the bottom LCA strut bolts in too, the drivers side was okay but the passenger was a pain. Those cheesy washer clips that GM uses to secure the strut bolts don’t help the process either.
  7. Those guys are trying to take your money. All you have to do is add a set of hub centric wheel spacers maybe 1/2” and you’re good. Adding more lift to the front end is not going to fix your tire rubbing on the UCA.
  8. Chad thanks for that write up man, great info. Sometimes you just gotta get your hands dirty.
  9. I’ve been running my 5.3 custom on L5 to keep it from dropping 4 cylinders. For country roads I usually drop to L4. The only benefit to the range I see is to get the 6th gear, but the only time I use 6 is on the freeway so I don’t mind afm kicking in. My dream truck would be a 6 speed manual transmission that runs on all 8 cylinders all the time. I really miss that third pedal.
  10. Thanks me too. They are even better in person it’s hard to photograph the color as it changes depending on light. Wheels:17x8.5 Tires: 35x12.5
  11. Well I finally got my new wheels and tires. Here are a few close up shots. I had to drive 2 hours to find a shop to swap the TPMS from my factory wheels...covid. I went down to 17x8.5 to try and save some weight and get more tire sidewall. 35/12.5. I like the simple design of these wheels, nice and clean with a lip but no fake bead lock ring/bolts. I love the bronze it reminds me of JDM rally STI wheels. I had Mud Tires on before that looked great but lacked in performance. The tires were obnoxiously loud, vibrated a lot on the freeway over 60, but the worst part was having to dig gravel out of the tread every day ( I live on a gravel road ). The Toyo R/T’s are impressive, smooth as silk on the freeway and almost no road noise. I’m running the 1.25 spacers right now but I think I’ll remove them because the 0mm offset already gives the wheel plenty of poke. Anyways I’ll post some full truck pics once the weather clears.
  12. Not yet, but I’ll be taking some soon. Wheel specs: 17x8.5, 0mm offset, 4.75” backspacing, and 1.25 spacers.
  13. 17 inch Method MR701 Bronze 35/12.5/17 Toyo Open Country R/T Eibach pro truck lift struts and springs 3” lift in front, TB 2” block in rear. 1.25 spacers all around. Very tight clearance with the spacers but I’ve done lots of trimming and I’m still getting some rubbing in full lock but it’s not bad. Tires are amazing, smooth as silk on the freeway and super quiet.
  14. Didn’t know about the crew standard. Yeah could be the photo it’s a crew short bed.
  15. I wasn’t aware they came in different wheelbase lengths. It’s a short bed if that’s what you’re asking.
  16. Nice ? thanks for the pic.
  17. I like that a lot! Wish it was a full shot of the rear so I could see both of them. Currently the only chrome on my TB is the tips. I didn’t want to black them out because the bumper is already black so I may do this instead. Do you think the powder coating is necessary? I was thinking of sanding them down, coating in zinc, then some good flat spray paint.
  18. Good point. The GM lift CV shafts are longer? The ranchos where just too soft for me, but different strokes...
  19. I tossed mine in the trash when I upgraded. I would feel bad trying to sell someone such a crap product.
