  1. My Gator is a hard top.
  2. I also have the Gator cover. Very water tight, and if you put a seal on the tailgate, no water gets in. While I agree that it doesn’t look quite as nice as the BackFlip, it blends very well on a black truck. Doesn’t cost as much either. Very solid cover, and took just minutes to install myself.
  3. Where did you get that kit/coils from?
  4. I like the Gator cover since I installed it. If the whole bed is needed, it easily is removable and goes back on just a easy. It looks great, as long as it is aligned right, but that goes for all covers. The only water getting in my bed is right at the tailgate, as I have not yet installed a seal there. Only happens when running through touchless car washes or spraying directly with a hose.
  5. Yes, that’s his opinion, and he has every right to state his opinion no matter how much you may disagree or not like it.
  6. Those are nice. Where did you get them?
  7. It looks great! Went back to pages 278 and found your link, already in the cart now, thanks! Also, did I see that you changed the color of the chrome of your bow tie? What did you use?
  8. Do you have the air scoop lights on a switch, or did you tie into headlights, daytimes, etc.?
  9. What was the reason for the repurchase? Also, how did the Sundown SD3’s sound in the truck? I have one that I’m installing soon.
  10. Is that legal to remove the muffler?
  11. Would you be willing to share the part numbers for the 2 connectors needed to make the harness?
  12. I don’t know if you know, but they have redline letters for Silverado and LT. They are black with the red edging just like your Chevy letters.
  13. Not sure about the 3500. The 1500 has it behind the back seat.
  14. The Bose amp is behind the back seat.
  15. The Rough Country is out of stock at Amazon right now. They have the Gator hard cover that looks identical and the same price. Maybe same manufacturer?
  16. I’ve heard both, and there is a huge difference. The Bose has a subwoofer in the center console. I went with the Bose, and the bass is not enough for me, so I am adding a subwoofer and amp. I will then adjust the eq and see what I have. I may or may not replace speakers further. The stock non-Bose is very bad compared to the Bose. Plus, I think if you want SiriusXM, you have to get the convenience 2 package. I may be wrong, but there is a thread of people complaining that their trucks did not come with it.
  17. SiriusXM is starting to be more of an option as most people use other streaming services. Since most of these trucks now have CarPlay or Android Auto, why pay for a satellite service that you might use 10% of, when you can stream music you know you will like? With that said, my 2020 RST does have SiriusXM, convenience 2 package.
  18. Following. I currently have the rough country one in my cart. Hoping to hear someone chime in on it.
  19. What kind of mount do you have this on?
  20. Which tailgate letters you used? I have a black RST and am debating gray or matte black.
  21. I think the Bose speakers are 8 ohm. You may damage the Bose amp with lower ohm rated speakers. Can someone verify the ohm rating of the factory Bose speakers?
  22. I went with the powder coated. Only issue I have is that when I closed the doors, there was a high pitch vibration sound coming from them. Used some audio sound deadening to the underneath. Worked like a charm. Holding up for 4 months now in Louisiana summer heat.
  23. Sundown also has their new full bridge line of amps. I know there is a 4 channel in the group. For the 4 -12’s, I’m assuming you are removing the back seat?
  24. Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of people comment on some other threads that’s the issue with LLJ. Are you doing anything with the dash speakers? I know Sundown audio makes a drop in speaker that sounds really good. Probably one of the best sounding 2.75 speakers I’ve heard.
  25. Your going to have to run an amp to get the most out of those speakers. To get out of running an amp, you have to go for lower power speakers. The radio, even the Bose amp, doesn’t put out much power. Similar radio in my wife’s Traverse, used some Pioneers in the doors, no amp. Huge improvement. Did Crutchfield for them as well, frees adaptors and wiring harnesses, $50 I think, they were on sale as well. Took maybe 1.5 hours total. That’s doing the sound deadening as well. Got Bose in my 2020 RST, so just gonna add a subwoofer.
