  1. Can’t open your pics.
  2. You are exactly right Adam. GM has recently issued a notice to dealers that all incoming 2021 vehicles with the 6.2 engine have to have all of the lifters replaced BEFORE they can be sold to a customer. in my option GM should offer us owners of these vehicles a lifetime warranty for any lifter failure. I only have a little over 3k miles on my truck and it’s one year old now.. (I have 5 vehicles and live between NJ and FL.). So i may be out of warranty long before I hit enough miles to cause a failure. I love my new Denali but this is Bull*&$t.
  3. Wow, can’t wait to see that bad boy when it’s completed. Good luck.
  4. I also did the S-type exhaust with an aFe CAI. Love the sound.
  5. Yeah they seem really tough to get. I was.planning on putting a Whipple on mine but I might wait awhile and see if the ECM becomes more available. Thanks.
  6. Agreed. I’m aware that you can’t reprogram these new trucks and that GM holds the key. But my original question was why does the GM CAI require reprogramming and the aFe unit does not?
  7. I wouldn’t have minded going back to the dealer if I went with the GM unit. I was just wondering why the aFe product didn’t require an adjustment. And I guess I still don’t understand why???
  8. So I installed the aFe Momentum GT Pro Dry S Air Intake on my 2021 6.2 with the S type Borla exhaust. I liked the looks, design, cost, and “advertised” performance gains of the AFE system over the GM unit. After reading that the GM CAI requires a trip back to the dealer for a reflash to reset the check engine light, I called AFE to see if this was required on their unit. They told me it was not required. I’ve put 500 miles on the truck and it runs and sounds great. Can anyone explain why the GM CAI requires a trip back to the dealer but the aFe one doesn’t
  9. Have you heard of any warranty issues using these? That was also a concern I had.
  10. I know this has probably been discussed here before but I’m new to owning a 2021 6.2 liter Denali and was looking for some advice on installing an oil catch can. I’ve read that you really don’t need it on the new engines as they have baffles in the valve covers. Any one have experience on this with the new motors?
  11. 2021 Denali, Undercover Armor Flex bed cover, Borla S-Type exhaust, aFe Momentum Pro Dry CAI.
  12. Wow that’s awesome. Good luck. I hope you let us know if your satisfied and how it works out.
  13. Which Edelbrock are you going with? They have some bad-ass engines in the 650-700 HP range with EFI. Just curious.
  14. GM offers Borla exhaust as a performance upgrade option.
  15. I just discovered the same problem on my 2000. It’s a shame I didn’t find it until it rotted out my rocker panel. Like you, I replaced the windshield. It didn’t fix it. Tried replacing the door seal. That didn’t work either. I finally took it to my brother in law who’s a great body repair guy. He opened the drivers door and gently poured water from a pitcher on the roof at the door seam. Sure enough, it was leaking along the front of the door jam seal. It was running out the bottom of the seal and onto the floor (under the carpet) and under the rocker cover. It was impossible to see unless the drivers side door was open. The final fix was that he put some goop behind the seal called strip caulk, and sure enough, no more leaf. It may not be your issue but it worked for me. Good Luke.
  16. Very true. I’ll check with my dealer just for kicks. That’s again for all the helpful advice.
  17. Would really like to but I’m a little hesitant since my truck only has about 600 miles on it and I’m sure GM will screw me on my engine warranty if I install a SC.
  18. Great post. Thanks for the info. I’m looking to install a Whipple SC on my 2021 Denali 6.2 and you guys addressed some of my questions as well.
