  1. What finally happened to this problem? Is there an update?
  2. Your module may not be the problem …. It may be the switch itself.
  3. Hey im curious about the outcome . Will you please update us when you get it repaired? Thank you in advance.
  4. Pm me the vin and I will look it up
  5. The accessories are not under a load when it is in park. There have been people will report a whining noise when accelerating and it was the transmission. I know there is a TSB on whining noise from 5.3 engines in these trucks and they replace a belt and idles pulley is the cure.
  6. I can hear them compared to the factory! Huge difference, but that doesn’t mean they are huge louder. They are louder but it’s more clear. When I get the kenwoods kfc-c2c and compare them I’ll let you know what I think is better for the mids and highs. The significant improvement in the highs and mids was the door speakers with the dash speakers , they complement each other. Rears are just a filler, I used Polk db552 and they are a great speaker. The only reason I used them is because I had them new in a box , I ordered for another project and didn’t use them. I felt guilty returning them to crutchfield( they are such a nice company, they will bend over backward to help you ) so I just kept them. The Bose doesn’t send much power to the rear speakers.
  7. If you don’t use the crossovers is what I think then you will have normal sound for the chimes and blinkers. I didn’t use them and it still sounds great. There was another member on here that put the crossovers in with the dash speakers and it flagged a can/bus communication code and killed the output to the speakers. Once he removed crossovers he was able to clear the code and have sound again. His truck was a 2023 RST like mine and that electrical and communication system is global B plate form which is new. Change was in the refresh (2022.5 and up)l am to understand ,so that’s why I didn’t use the crossovers in mine. Metra 72-4573 are the speaker harnesses for the front dash speakers . Please don’t cut the factory connectors out! I really I have a lot better sound now but now I need more volume so later I’m adding an amp and dsp To the system .
  8. My apologies these are pioneer tsa 709. Yes they are very good
  9. I didn’t use the kenwoods kfc -x2c but I hear a lot of good reviews from guy with our trucks. I’m going to order them and do a comparison. The door speakers , kenwood KFC 6696s are awesome in the front doors lot of bass and very clear highs and mids
  10. Yes makes the whole system better but you’ll want to ad an amp later.
  11. Yes if you do not use the inline crossover!
  12. This is the one I carry in my backpack. I have a snapon triton D10 that I own if I need to go further. For heavy duty off road and on road I own diesel laptop ( texa) and use a Bluetooth with my app from diesel laptop called diesel decoder.
  13. I don’t think that’s a stupid question at all. I hadn’t thought of that and I want a hard cover on mine. I’m interested in find the answers to this as well.
  14. Yes this will do it!! Great job!!
  15. This is a common scam!!! They will yeah we serious ,and yes we got the truck ,sure give us a down payment and it’s yours. You get there and lo and behold ,somehow that truck is gone but they will apply this to another truck no where near the discount. They are holding your money. And you traveled all that way. Don’t want it then they ignore you. Let me guess they will want 5-10 percent down to hold it for you. Take that dealership and do a google search for reviews for that dealership and read. You will see what I mean. A perfect example will be friendly Chevrolet in Dallas ,Texas. . Good luck!
  16. My apologies I did get the TS-A709 pioneers for dash speakers. They are 4 ohm.
  17. I used tsa706 for the from dash they do great in my 2023
  18. I have at the least two trucks my 2004 is driven to work. It’s the road warrior. 347 k miles and a dent of some sort on every panel. Mechanical still in great shape. LS with 5.3 4l60e 2wd. My new 2023RST is my weekend truck or going on trips with the wife . That limits the azzholes from having the circus clown effect of smashing into it an leaving some mars candy bar as payment. Not fool proof by any means but it seems there are always more clowns at work trying to park. By the way the 2004 still has factory engine and trans. Never been rebuilt. Awesome truck!!!!
  19. Check for codes in the radio control module and then clear them. See if that helps. Radio control module gets a code it will limit power to that circuit. By removing the switch and the battery still connected it may have flagged a code.
  20. The three leg fuse add a circuit is p/n FH3020A3P from hi-line.com hope this helps
  21. This is the part number for the micro fuse that I use at work to wire up the new Tahoes
  22. These are the add a circuit to hardwire accessories
  23. These are the type of fuses used in my 2023 RST and the police Tahoes
