  1. On our new silverados you will have to give it 2 minutes for all modules to time out
  2. That is a great question. I would be interested in that answer as well
  3. They have which ever one you need that will fit your fuse block. I case you decide to go the hardwire direction
  4. Any good hydraulic hose builder in your city or town, ask them if they build a/c lines. They can build them with a better quality, and parts. Ask them if the build them in house. That’s the shop you want. Mac tools sales a good hand crimper for ac lines which you can use the crimp oil cooler/transmission cooler. you would have to find a fittings supplier( good google search should provide a good supplier. Gates, Eaton, and Parker all build these fitting for the ends of the lines and the line its self. It may not look perfectly like the factory line but it will work better and not leak. Most of the problems with the oil cooler lines from GM is they are cheap Chinese and are not at the proper crimp specs. When mine leak I will not spend time with the dealership. Warranty or not, I will order in the hose and the fitting and crimp them in my shop. Gates makes a very tough hose for this and will more than likely last the life of my truck. I hope some of this helps
  5. After reading this post. Finally a correct step in the right direction in troubleshooting. You’re going to turn on the check engine lights and have to clear codes but if you remove the o2 and drive and it has a lot more power, yes the cats are plugged. I’m responding to this in the assumption that you do not have access to a quality scanner. Anyway from there you can decide what to do. I would call a few exhaust shops get a price on aftermarket converters.
  6. What harness did you use for this? I want to do the same-thing with the door speakers. I would like a little more power out of them. I’ve replaced all the door speakers and the dash speakers. Thanks in advance
  7. Take it in something is wrong. You should feel it.
  8. I’m guessing these are the correct ones. I haven’t looked in my fuse box the see the fuse type. Hi line has all the different type of fuse tap (add a circuit). If you don’t have a Hilo e rep up there then go to their online ordering. If not and all else fails dm me back and I’ll send you some.

  10. Sorry I just saw this…. I order the metra speaker harnesses from Amazon. Walmart Carrie’s them Lao and can be ordered.
  11. In the rocker panels there are plugs that you can remove and use a rust encapsulation spray from Eastwood. Some of these plugs are use to mount steps on your truck. Some plugs are bigger. The Eastwood rust encapsulator has a 24 inch flexible hose that will stay the way you bend it. The end of the hose had a nozzle that sprays in a 360 direction so you get complete coverage. You spray it and slowly pull back at the same time. It is used on frames but will be perfect for the inside of those rocker panels. Can be use on the inside of the boxed in frame on the inside. I’ve used this a lot. Go to the Eastwood web site and search spray rust encapsulator. Hope this helps.
  12. Where was the harness problem located at in the engine bay? I’ve noticed there has been more than a few problems with wiring harness chaffing
  13. I have not installed these speakers yet. I’ve since bought kenwood 6x9 3way speakers for the front and I’m going to install the Polk 652 in the rear door instead. I’ll do this Tom ( Friday and I’ll let you know how it works out.
  14. this truck is beautiful! Need to get rid of that “volunteer” symbol and add a Razorback!!!!!!! JK!!! beautiful truck!
  15. There is so much more hidden hp and torque in the 5.3 And even the 6.2. To build these engine or do moderate add ons toward increasing the hp and torque is incredible. The 2.7T is just about as maxed as it can be and still be useful and reliable for 150k miles. If this is about ultimate power and torque then up would see these variants of 4 cylinders being used In top fuel drag car. But instead what they use is v8. The statement that the 5.3 is a “outdated dinosaur “ is very untrue. It is great overall reliable compromise between fuel economy, which is a huge determining factor in the light duty truck industry, and v8 power that people enjoy because of the power! There is a place for the 5.3 v8 in this market.
  16. Anyone installed Polk 652 in their front door with Bose yet. I have some brand new in a box l got for another build but didn’t use them. I noticed crutchfield shows them as a direct fit into front and rear door of 2023 Silverado 13.4 screen Bose system. I was wondering the pros and cons of them . They are 4 ohms just like the front door. This is where I’m going to install them.
  17. Forgive me if I don’t understand the situation. Can you hit unlock on fob or control switch at the front . Then go around the passenger side to enter then open the rear drivers side from the inside door handle? Again I may not understand the situation here so forgive me.
  18. Yes but you may need a scanner to go in-depth.
  19. In all honesty what can they do if it’s working. These are the hardest issues to solve.
  20. You would have to see if there are fault codes in the bcm or door module if so you have a communication problem either between the switch and the module or the module to the motor. If no code then your input from the switch is not being sent from the switch itself. Switch is bad.
