  1. Can you pay the stealer to give you a diagnostic. That might let you focus on the right direction.
  2. Take a look at this kit to see if it might suit your needs: Strutmaster AfterMarket Supsension kit.
  3. Got the 'Burban back last night. Dealer said that they were unable to reproduce the concerns I had. Even though they initially said that the front struts were shot, the master tech says actually they aren't. It seems that they had initially attempted to replace the front struts but once the master tech examined the install, he vetoed it even though the extended warranty covered it. Supposedly they removed the parts. The master tech said that he could see signs that the magna-ride could be in early stages of failing but nothing was occurring that would necessitate a warranty repair at present. They did offer to do a "preemptive" repair for $2500 out of pocket. I declined. When I drove home there was no squeak and the ride seemed fine. I'm planning on doing an hour drive with my wife this afternoon to the outlet mall to see how it drives. I'm hoping to keep that trip under $2500. I plan to keep a watchful eye on the suspension. My warranty expires in the fall of '26 so hopefully if its an issue before then it can be addressed under warranty. I haven't had any other issues and as I said, after the Route 66 trip we'll have to figure out what to do.
  4. Hopefully you'll do a review of the X7. We still have an e70 X5 that we keep at our vacation house. It just passed 70k and is still a pleasure to drive. Our 2020 Suburban Premier had been largely trouble free. However it's in the shop now for strut and shock replacements. Fortunately its covered by the extended warranty but I really wonder about a 4k repair (at once) on a vehicle that isn't even 5 years old will mean as the years and miles add up. Funny thing I took it in because it was squeaking over highway imperfections. Apparently that's a precursor to the struts failing. My wife and I have been planning on going with the grandkids on a Route 66 trip next year for the Route 66 anniversary next year and we definitely will take our Suburban. But I may have to consider letting her go once we get back. I guess we won't see you much around here anymore. But great to hear the other news though!
  5. Have you stepped away from the GM-Trucks.com forum?

Posted an update in that Magneride thread.

  6. Steve how many miles when the weeping started? Did you end up getting the work done? My Suburban just turned 4 years old and though I don't have any weeping I'm just wondering when I should start being concerned.
  7. That's a great price. I bought this one for almost double the price last year. https://carlinkitcarplay.com/products/carlinkit-wireless-adapter-for-factory-carplay?variant=42879308365994&source=aliceads&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1JfO0OOAhwMVhUhHAR0YHQlyEAQYAiABEgKnBfD_BwE I will say that these adapters really are game changers. Being able to keep the adapter plugged in 24/7 and simply bringing your phone into the vehicle is simple and convenient.
  8. If I recall, for my 2020 the speed limit indicator for the area is a function of the On Star service being activated.
  9. Try an Ipod Touch. You can get one pre-owned. Download whatever apps you already have on it. Also you can even download movies directly to it. Then get a USB to HDMI apple connector (to plug into the 2nd row) and you're good to go.
  10. Is it at all possible you have the settings backwards? Test by using the middle setting.
  11. We have it on our 2020 and I keep it on the shortest/closest setting because I can maintain speed in mixed traffic. How many car lengths are you able to set on yours?
  12. Mine seems bright enough. What am I missing? Oh and Merry Christmas!
  13. Our 'Burb is now 3 years old this month and thanks to you guys I'm hoping it will run well for another 3. Merry Christmas to all of you!
  14. Is this just considered a consequence of having the automated running boards? Like when I have the regular maintenance service done should I have them service the running boards too? On the passenger side of the 'burban the boards only deploy inconsistently when the rear door is opened. However always when the front passenger door is opened.
  15. Also purchasing one of the wireless Carplay/AA adapter. I leave it permanently plugged in and when I get in the vehicle my phone automatically connects. Plus if your phone can charge wirelessly you can just sit the phone on the charging pad. Easy Peasy.
  16. I'm using an Apple Ipod and an HDMI plug in the middle row. Anything that I can watch on the Ipod I can watch on the screen including football games using the NFL app.
  17. Have you tried the remote control?
  18. 24inch wheels are now an OEM option for the '25s. https://www.theautopian.com/the-2025-chevrolet-suburban-and-tahoe-finally-let-you-ride-on-24s/
  19. I guess we don't drive our 2020 enough to notice that it's not bright enough in the back. I'll get out to garage when I fly home and see.
  20. Have you tried something like this USB powered charger that you could place on top of the charging pad? https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charger-Charging-Compatible-Samsung/dp/B0BBVJWDJN/ref=asc_df_B0BBVJWDJN/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=598287493420&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11197249700754100958&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008141&hvtargid=pla-1839753454738&psc=1&mcid=38dcb2ba9cd13c8588c00fdc7ff6f669&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2pL1xYCVgwMVJmBHAR3URwFJEAQYBCABEgLmWvD_BwE
  21. Is it really going to be like this to get parts for a 2015-2020 Suburban? Ours is barely 3 years old and knock on wood we've not had any issues except for sluggish automatic side steps. And we'll be making our last payment before spring of next. But is a parts shortage just going to be part of the ownership experience?
  22. I'm still looking at an updated back up camera option but in the interim I had the rear view mirror from the Escalade put in . It is essentially a HD camera view. It's great for driving. But for parking and reversing I think a better camera would still be useful.
  23. On the Suburban LT's with the luxury package the 2nd row bench has seated seats -- both outer seats. Maybe the Yukon is the same.
  24. Perhaps there might be a reply if you posted pictures.
