  1. I finally have a need for my gooseneck ball and safety chain anchors. I have the GM bed mat. I didn’t want to roll the mat up to use the holes so I drilled some in the mat. I 3D printed some drill guides and drilled pilot holes up from under the bed. Then removed the mat and drilled 3.25” holes. Worked great.
  2. I bought a Dorman transmission pan for my 2024 10L1000 transmission. It has a magnetic drain plug and is the same size as the factory pan. I bought it so it fit under the AEV skid plate. I had some upgrades done recently on my valve body by No-Zone Diesel and they sent a PPE transmission pan back with my valve body so I no longer need the Dorman pan. Pan was installed for less than 3000 miles and is in excellent condition. Dorman model 265-587. Rock Auto sells for $180. Amazon sells for $182. $100 shipped or local pickup DFW area.

  8. So when do the senior years officially start? My wife is always encouraging me to take my “old man” nap. Im only 50.
  9. Same for me in north Texas.
  10. Thank you. I put the smoked sidemarker lights from Diode Dynamics in and wanted to do the smoked mirror lights as well.
  11. Nice video. Time to do my truck.
  12. I have the AT4X HD version. I bought both bumpers from AEV. The back bumper was an easy install. The front wasn’t terrible but I’ve had problems with my front park assist since installing it. No help from AEV or GM.
  13. I have an AT4X. Factory lift but planning on 37s.
  14. I installed the Cognito pitman arm and idle arm support kit on recommendation of CJC Off-road. Supposed to keep that from happening.
  15. So far no leaks for me. Hopefully it stays that way
  16. Funny. I’m sitting at the airport now waiting for a flight that’s delayed.
  17. It would be nice if it was gone. Adds unnecessary height.
  18. Thank you. Works out to a decent price for 1 year.
  19. I just checked. You cannot fill the transmission with the skid plate on.
  20. Using SPS I can see the software versions in the K182 park assist module. There are 4 modules inside the unit with different software for each. I pulled the info from my truck, a 2024 non-AEV AT4X, and compared to a 2024 and 2025 AT4X AEV. Three of the modules share the same software number but the two AEV editions share a common 4th software version that is different from my non-AEV version. I’ll have to see if I can program that version to mine.
  21. Did you do the mirror lights too? If so, are they the smoked lens version?
  22. Check here: https://experience.gm.com/ownercenter/recalls
  23. I have WeatherTech vent visors. They don’t help with the buffeting if one of the rear windows is down. I have to open another window a little to stop the buffeting.
  24. I’d have to have a large catch pan to get all the fluid that would run out of every drain hole on the skid plate. It would be everywhere.
  25. The hole I drilled wasn’t for servicing purposes. It was for peace of mind. There was less than 1/8” clearance between the drain bolt and the skid plate. I just wanted more space. Takes 2 minutes to remove the plate for servicing.
