I just picked up my High Country from having bulletin PIP5653B Jingle Jingle "fix" completed. Now it's a wait and see if it returns.

Can you pm me your dealers name and service writer's phone number and your work order number? Mine is scheduled for the jingle fix on Friday and I'll tell them it didn't fix yours, I'd like to give them the name and phone number in case they'd like to call them. I'd rather not have them do it if it doesn't fix it.

I'm going on 3 months with mine being resealed. Been through touchless car wash a few times, and many hand washes, and I shoot jet of water into all the cracks around the 3rd brake light every time I wash it...So far no more leaking.

I stopped in today and talked to Mark, my service writer, and gave him the PIP5653A/B bulletin number and he looked it up and it had the part numbers to fix it. He ordered the parts and he'll contact me when they get them in and schedule my pickup in for the repair. I don't have a list of what parts are needed for the repair, but they did mention one being an Axle Shaft.

Do you have the bulletin number or some "key words" ie, jingle, clang, etc, that will assist my service writer in finding this bulletin?

Mine has been making the noise as well and today I had my HC in for its first oil change and mentioned the problem to my service writer. I also gave him a copy of the PIP that was posted here. They were unable to find anything about the fix in their system. Please keep us posted on yours, and if possible any TSB, or other bulletin that would apply to the fix for it. Thanks!

Last Saturday I listened to the ringing bell for about 6.5 hrs on my trip, and to say the least....it was very annoying!! I just checked my build sheet and I have the SU4 - AXLE FRT! From what I've read here, it starts happening after it has warmed up good, so today I'll take it for an extended drive and see if I can get it to do it. Yeah mine comes up every -2-3 weeks too. Wonder if it is triggered by number of days or by number of times pickup is started.

Speaking of antennas, I've never understood....maybe someone else knows the reason....why we still have the big off-center WART of a onstar/xm radio antenna! Surely they could incorporate it into the 3rd brake light and make it look way more pleasing. My wife's Cad SRX has a nice looking rear/center mounted Onstar/XM/AMFM combo antenna. I purposely ordered my 03 Silverado SS WITHOUT Onstar/XM because of the ugly antennas.

Mine only mutes it too. Curious though, why do you need to shut it off completely?

We have Farmer's Ins and anytime we've had a collision, we've called them and they got our car fixed and then they went after the other party or their insurance company for reimbursement.

I wouldn't call them "useless" , as I can see them being very handy when we go camping and we need some light on either or both sides of the truck at the campsite.

Here's what I found on the Upfitter website for Afterblow, and I can see why they don't enable it by default, people would be complaining about the blower motor running after they've shut off their vehicle: Afterblow Afterblow is a feature that dries the evaporator core by operating the blower motor after the engine is turned OFF. This reduces the amount of microbial growth that can create undesirable odors. The vehicle does not come equipped with the afterblow feature turned ON. If the afterblow feature is required due to an odor concern, it must be enabled using the scan tool Afterblow configuration function. After the HVAC control module has been programmed for afterblow, the following conditions must be met for afterblow to operate: • The engine has been turned OFF for at least 30 minutes. • The ambient air temperature is at least 21°C (70°F). • The A/C compressor operated for more than 2 minutes before shut down. • The system voltage is at least 12 volts. Once the above conditions have been met, the blower motor will perform the following sequence up to 5 times. This could last up to an hour: 1. The blower motor will be OFF for 7 – 11 minutes. 2. The blower motor will RUN for 25 – 30 seconds.
