Thanks, does he really have nice legs?

You really need some serious help bro, you little kids born and raised on the web. Sad really
-
So you 2 ninnyhammers meant this as a complement? Sorry I took it the wrong way, born and raised on a 10000+ acre cattle ranch in Eastern Wa. About as country as you can get. rube /roo͞b/ noun An unsophisticated country person. A person of rural heritage; a yokel. An uninformed, unsophisticated, or unintelligent person. So we are stating the same thing now, yet earlier you were stating that we had limited refining and distribution issues......... I never said that the oil was drilled here, where did you come up with that? I agree that the price is higher than anywhere else and that was my original point, are you following the thread at all? Have you been drinking or smoking this morning, or are you always a little bit confused? I never saw the expense per gallon that you claimed to present? For some reason you and the guy that thinks an AMC is a race car are presuming that this thread is about inflation and political agendas LMAO. And in the future please address me as Rubemeister.
-
So, you don't think that fuel costs affect the cost of shipping and freight? You are kidding us aren't you my little "Country Bumpkin"?
-
So, no addressing the facts that I presented only another off the wall response. Isn't that the state being sued for voter registration right now? How can you believe their own audit as being accurate? Carl Sagan had this to say: And Brad Paisley stated this:
-
What is with the "Rube" insult? WTF is wrong with you?
-
FYI, Wa state has the 5th highest oil refining capacity in the USA so I feel that refining capacity is a null argument as well as distribution with only 51% of refined product being consumed within the state and the rest being exported. I honestly believe that Wa state is screwing their citizens big time. Crazy stuff when you look into it, Biden had a national average of $3.60 during the course of his admin, it will be interesting to see where this admin ends up as the Natl. average under his previous term was $2.38 when he left office, little was being consumed at the end as covid was lowering demand. As of 2 days ago the Natl average was $2.99 so I can only find Oklahoma as the lowest with $2.26. All in all if we don't like it we can start driving EV's LMAO

That is where the $$ is SUPPOSED to go.. I am quite sure if it ever were audited we would find that "administrative" costs are a large sum of these monies. All in all it is cheaper than it was and will likely get cheaper with China using less and our production at its highest levels ever. We are at a four year low as a National average and that is a good sign for the price of goods overall.

I am curious as to how oil companies are gouging Washington State residents on the price of fuel? Why aren't the oil companies gouging everyone equally? Seems like Wa state itself is doing the gouging with the extreme taxes on Petrol products, I believe 3rd highest in the nation at this time.

AC/Heat not blowing 2020 Chevy 1500
johnnyquick replied to BK903's topic in Troubleshooting, Warranty & Recalls
MIne did this and when I would tap the blower motor with my metal flashlight it came on instantly. New motor arrives tomorrow off Ebay $60 bucks for the same crappy Delco one that lasted 65k miles. -
Unless the alternator AND the other battery is bad all at the same time...lol which with these trucks it is all possible. I even have to change out the blower motor at 65k miles my kids Honda Element has 194k and everything still works. These trucks were made as CHEAPLY as possible it seems to me but I am not whining on the internet just voicing my opinion The truck the OP is posting about is NOT fixed and will leave him stranded again and could kill someone GM only moves when threatened with litigation by the Govt.
-
Gents any ideas with this? 64000 miles it stopped blowing a few weeks ago, so I pulled over and shut the truck off, and then restarted everything and it worked again. Now it stops and won't work even if shutting truck down and trying again, then it randomly will start working again. Dash has never been apart etc. Thought of going to the dealer is frightening, as they will try and sell me some lug nut fluid or something. Pacific Northwest so I NEED heat and defrost this time of year. I am quite adept of you have any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Just to be clear, I NEVER stated that GM owed me anything, however and I should have been more explanatory as Grumpy was, MORALLY GM cheated and continues to do so by selling an Engine with known failure rates that are abnormally high. Yes all of your legal spegal may be correct in the court of law, but it does not make it right Kind of like a murderer getting off because his arrest warrant had the wrong zip code on it. Anyway I will be selling mine by spring and moving on in the meantime, Caviar priced oil and 3000 miles max OCI's GM will never get me again other than the wifes V series Escalade which is the tried and true LT4 or handbuilt 6.2. Happy Holidays to all you Gents

Speed limiter delete
johnnyquick replied to Stephen L. Pannell's topic in Engines & Drivetrain (V8, Duramax, TurboMax)
Who tuned it and how much did it cost you? Any mods beside the tune? -
If you use it for work I would wrap that part with a logo or phone number If you got to a body shop don't let em scan your VIN or that will show up on your Carfax or Autocheck history as damage and devalue your truck. As stated above a perfect used on can likely be found if you cant live with it, I myself need a dent and ding free as that is all I will see if looking at the truck from now on
-
Well, all in all I see what you want and I am not giving it up that easily...lol My truck was drinking oil initially, I ran some heavy detergent diesel oil through it and switched to 5-30 and 10-30 in the summer and that essentially stopped the consumption, my engine failed 2 excessive consumption tests prior to that. So, I have not been as FOCKED as many but will contend that if you are an adult male over age 40 then you KNOW that an engine should last longer than that. (of course you can try to argue that, and I said over 40 because under 40 seems to be the age group that has little intellect or ability in most areas, not all of them but most of them.) Here is an AI link if you want to try and debunk it, I as you can see added with "average" maintenance not good maintenance. "A V8 gasoline engine typically lasts between 150,000 to 200,000 miles with average maintenance, but many can exceed 300,000 miles with proper care. Regular maintenance, such as oil changes and timely servicing, is crucial for maximizing engine longevity. noblequote.com americandreamautoprotect.com So I as well as others have the right to feel cheated if their engine craps out anytime before 100K miles IMO as that is a "reasonable expectation" of a products performance. I even googled a Reasonable expectation for a gasoline V8 engine for my numbers to verify that angle as well as the AI and it is over 150k miles GM having KNOWN of these issues was cheating its customers by continuing to sell them and even as far back as 2020 I believe dealers were being told to run the engines at a certain rpm for X amount of time to see of anything happened to them before being sold. Definition of reasonable expectation according to the WEBZ..lol "Reasonable expectation for a product refers to the safety and performance standards that an average consumer anticipates when using that product. If a product fails to meet these expectations, it may be considered defective or unreasonably dangerous under product liability laws" In the meantime I will run the wheels off of mine and if it breaks I will cry and whine on the internet. All in all I wish you the best and hope that you have a GREAT holiday season. Cheers

5 years and 60k miles Bubba, Ram is 100k Warranty currently. So, you honestly feel that the Govt stepping in as a consumer protection is BS? Or what are you saying here? Every man over 12 years old (other than a Gen Z'er) knows that an engine/drive train should last WELL beyond your 3 year/36k range, WTH are you even thinking to post something like that? When you buy a gallon of milk it should measure a gallon and be fresh enough to drink, if you buy a new set of tires they normally last more than 5000 miles, are you catching on yet? Cheated means not getting the value that you paid for and have a reasonable expectation of, these engines and transmissions are clearly not adding up to that value, hence the GIANT recall notices, if GM were innocent and not knowing there is an issue do you think this would be an issue? Cheers

New bulletin/Campaign 6.2 L87
johnnyquick replied to tbarn's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Transient (A member here) is all good with it, he explained to me that crying and whining is not his cup of tea, and ohh well he says to his wife if it blows up I will eat it as I am too cool to worry about getting screwed over. LMAO Posted November 2 (edited) I appreciate your honesty, but there is a difference between honesty and an opinion. It would've been nice if the title had solely been informational, as opposed to toxic. I am in that group of model years the NHTSA is now looking into. I'm glad they are. And, if I'm adversely affected, it is what it is. I was already planning to prepare for the worst at 100,000+ miles. My wife heard me watching the video and asked what I would do if my engine failed (again, ie, repeat of 2007 Tahoe engine failure caused by DOD) at 96,000 miles and 6 months out of warranty). My response was simple: Rebuild it stronger (deleted and cammed) and supercharged. I'm keep the truck, even though I paid for it with my "imaginary" money. It's cheaper to repair it than to replace it. I believe in falling forward. When you fall, it sucks. But, get yourself up and in a position where you benefit from it. Today, (to paraphrase poet Robert Frost) I choose to take the road less traveled. Doing as the majority does, pissing and whining, hasn't benefitted me ever. Sorry a simple opinion from a simple man struck a sour note with you. It's just a shame that a comment that didn't tear anybody down, nor lay blame or insult, cause such a tirade of a post. Have a good evening, sir. I said what needed to be said in my original post. Now I'm done. Any reply from you will fall on deaf ears. Edited November 2 by Transient -
Bilstein 5100's on stock LT Trail Boss?
johnnyquick replied to Atlas's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
Taking upper control arm loose, so that you can swing it up enough to pull shock and spring assembly up out of there, otherwise there is no where for it to go, I tried the lower last time and it was much easier through the top than through the bottom. -
LOL if THAT was directed towards me then you should seek some professional help as pretending to be the "victim" is exactly what you are doing. NO one said that you paid with imaginary money but that customers should have gotten REAL VALUE for REAL MONEY.... A "Tirade" of a post? WTF are you even talking about did you read the post? If you feel a truck should break down with very low miles and only a couple of years of service for $55-75000 bucks then you are really the rarity as it seems the Government and the rest of the GM customers feel they deserve better. Sorry, I HAD to scroll up and look for a "Tirade of a post" again...LMAO!

Bilstein 5100's on stock LT Trail Boss?
johnnyquick replied to Atlas's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
Yes on spring compressor, no the job is not that bad. About 4-5 hours of commitment if you keep at it and follow instruction. Detach at upper control arm not lower. Bilstein is good maybe better out there, maybe not. My experience with the Big Bilsteins (6112's ) was terrible as it rode like a 1978 C30 Pickup, which is NOT good at all...lol Stock springs and better shocks is what I should have done.
