  1. And for that I am happy for you, but many, many other people were cheated out of the same $$ you gave for yours or more. They paid REAL money, they should be treated fairly IMO. Lets see where it all lands. I have owned 6.2's in the past and always been happy we had a Yukon Denali and 3 Escalades with 6.2's that is why I went with this one even TBH. Cheers
  2. Check out the recall expansion investigation on the 2019 and 2020's, mine has been an oil consumer in the past.
  3. Buy muffler from Corsa or Borla and dont look back, even the delete pipe is $100 bucks and for a couple hundred more you will have "Music" to your ears...
  4. Absolute Piracy for a dealer to charge that kind of $$ for a cam, lifters and tune. Like you said you did it on a weekend in your driveway essentially..lol dealers are crooked as hell IMO
  5. AGREED! I just did mine ac and serp, the tool is a PITHA and when you drop it a few dozen times, you end up grabbing zip ties anyway and YES do the idler at the same time.
  6. I agree with you but he stated that he did not want a complete system and a muffler at a few hundred bucks is a big step from nearly $3000 bucks.
  7. I would be very surprised if the engine needed replaced, I would think that the camshaft and lifters as well as possibly check the heads and do a complete delete including bottom side of intake with the PCM being sent in for a quick reprogram and drive. Bottom end should still be GTG.
  8. LOL, I know it seems that way but they definitely are not like buying a 2014 or so brand new. GM themselves finally see it with engine and transmission recalls taking months to resolve it is a sad sight.
  9. Electric or Duct tape, save the $$ for the work the truck will need all to soon.
  10. Sooooo, I posted above that I added just what I took out and ran with that HOWEVER after I got a helper to pump the fluid while I layed under it ad checked the level and held hose in fill hole, I had it up to 180 degrees pulled plug (truck level) and no fluid, so added 2 more quarts and still had no fluid coming out. Put plug in, got out from under and rechecked trans temp, ran it up to 180 again and dropped under and pulled plug STILL NO FLUID so added another full quart (8 quarts now) and finally got fluid coming out as the books and videos show. Trans has never been touched, I am amazed that it held together at all with only 4 quarts and 28 ounces coming out of it, B*ST*RDS at GM ! I have towed my 24' car hauler all over the rockies and Arizona in 119 degree heat with it factory low on fluid. So I am doing as posted and draining this next week and putting Amsoil in it and doing upgrade of valve body in the spring. I would check your trans fluid levels ASAP if you have not already. Cheers
  11. A large allen head (metric) but if you want to use a rachet you will need to remove the front drive shaft (if your truck is 4wd of course). Otherwise as I did use a allen wrench and a box end slipped over it to get leverage enough to break it loose. Drivers side, you will clearly see it on side of trans. Get it up to 180 on dash indicator by power braking it for 10 seconds on and 10 seconds off til you get there, leave it run as you open plug to see if any trickles out, fill it until it does but just a drip not any more. Manuals say like 170-175 but I was wanting time to slip on coveralls real quick and jump under there. Fluid is damn hot so be careful.
  12. Since you don't want a catback, you can save a BUNCH of $$ and have zero drone with great sound if you just go to Borlas or Corsas website and pick one from them. The crappy Flowmasters and the like ALL drone and last a very short time if you live where there are 4 seasons. Cheers
  13. My 2020 has the ever so slightest leak in a radiator seam that was undetectable until I had the fender well liners out and was crawling around under it when doing the trans fluid and filter. Passenger side bottom corner. Never any wierdness or crash etc. It has 64k on it now and has used a little here and there for a couple years. These trucks are horrible quality IMO
  14. Pull the code and see what is going on first, you could save a lot of $ and time. If it isn't broke don't fix it just yet unless you have a bunch of extra cash laying around.
  15. All is well that ends well, filled it with what came out exactly and the B&M drain plug kit is in. I was going to torque the nut to the spec'd to the manufacturers 25# but it destroyed the nylon washer before that number came close, so I replaced it with a copper crush washer. (No leaks) I have enough of of the Delco ULV to drain and refill again so I will do that and should be ALL new fluid, which then I will dump that after a few miles and sub it with the Amsoil and forget it til spring and then dump it ALL and do the Valve body upgrade kit from Next Gen drivetrain and refill with Amsoil again and then gettting the trans tuned at a local shop that has done a few of them with great results. Any way that is it. Cheers
  16. Yes it is a real BIOTCH, I am adding a B&M drain plug to it as well as heat wrapping the exhaust on both sides as well as along the bottom pipe that cuts across about and inch and a half under the trans pan. My plan is to run the added new fluid for a few days then drain again via the new plug and then switch to Amsoil for the next run and then again in Spring which SHOULD have my fluid in damn good shape, I may even do the Valve Body upgrade at that time. I will look and see if any is accessible to me.
  17. Gents, I bit the bullet on this 2020 1500 and decided to do the trans filter and fluid service at home after watching 1 really good video on youtube and one that was just okay. Jacked her up took off front wheels, safety stands etc pulled fender liners, out Pulled a few heat shields off, popped 3 02 sensors out, left passenger downstream one in place as lead is long enough. Cussed a few hundred times trying to get inside passenger manifold bolt out, and got exhaust dropped so I could access and drop pan and fluid. All went well, til I started getting things cleaned up before reassembly, as I emptied my waste oil into some jugs I had laying around for this task, I filled one to 4 qts exactly and another one I put 24 ounces into. That is all that came out of it, I have owned it since new, (26 miles) and it has never leaked a drop, nor has anyone ever touched the trans for service etc, I had 2 services done at the dealer both long ago like around the 10k mark on the odo. Never any issue wityh shifting etc, other than typical slow assed GM shifts. Everywhere I read says it takes 8.1 qts for this service, tomorrow I will follow all procedures and get it up to temp etc and fill her up but tonight I am questioning WTF? Other than roll with it after the fill up what do you think?
  18. I have owned rigs that were from the 50's (Farm trucks) clear on up to modern day pickups and duallys and have NEVER had a leak, I agree it takes balls to drill on these $70-$100k pickups but I doubt any issues would occur unless one were careless.
  19. Mine never threw a code, it just does not register brake pad life for the fronts, been cut for 40000 plus miles because of a jackass at Les Schwab, and I never got around to it until next week, lol 63000 miles and now looks like I need pads. 2020 1500 RST 4wd with 6.2 and 10 speed no speed limiting either for me, but again mine is cut off.
  20. Look GREAT boost auto parts are excellent products, the ONLY thing that I would suggest is to test fire them BEFORE reinstalling headliner etc. Just in case. Thanks for posting
  21. Oops my bad was thinking Tranny fluid not transfer case
  22. Doesn't balanced mean balanced? I have not heard of anything being balanced by RPM etc, do you have an example of this? I am happy to be educated on it if you can think of something. TIA
  23. Buy a 6.2 LT4 off of ebay with the ecu and harness and live life to the fullest https://www.ebay.com/itm/396461660323?_skw=lt4+engine&itmmeta=01K2BRN37CJY2BQY2R195EB9H0&hash=item5c4ef4d8a3:g:ZhkAAeSwvRFn~AZK&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1ftUSppaFS965GIBBXp7lj9UaDy0eObbVVXkiV1DU6EUG1HlL9zD%2Bbyl9oebvF2RbFX2b4B%2FBLPRUJpRygQBVL3%2Fagt9pEGVZRlmj4Hz2ZkOhI5A2dwTyMET3GsO%2Fgqdo7POIRKDAXVd%2FqmiaRjyS6sD0t%2BT7wxR8ZPqR2JPuCjC6FWKnOdMaTfKUx7lKRj%2F7WLZYOi4L6l4S7VbilETm22YUE76BxErSzSIxYJ%2BrO4Ic5cIBeLyMfCvpxjqU4wIcc%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR-6z1PiSZg
  24. I run one and have for the last 40k miles, there is always moisture and crappy looking stuff in it whatever is I am glad it is not going in to my engine. The best 6.2 tuners out there run them on ALL the engine that they work on, those engines are tuned to the utmost efficiency levels. I would put there thoughts and opinions up there pretty high for information. I run it year round in the Pacific Northwest inland areas where it gets pretty cold and have had zero issues, I do know of a guy in Canada that DID have frozen moisture problems.
  25. How close in diameter are these to the factory 22" tires in a denali?
