  1. I know, that is such BS these engines are clearly built improperly and or are just junk, I don't know what I will do when they try to screw me on mine. I am still under warranty but last thing I want is one of their "mechanics" doing a Frankenstein repair job in between bong hits. ZERO faith in service dept quality.
  2. So, does your new engine have ANY warranty?
  3. Looks great and excellent pics to show how you did it! Thanks for the effort
  4. I know 2023 6.2's are being replaced for free and before selling any remaining on lots because of lifter overbore I believe it was.
  5. The Pulsar LT does not allow you to tune the tranny shift points.
  6. My 2020 has no E85 sensor so I run premium only either 91 or 92 depending on where I am at geographically. I am using a Pulsar so no auto off and on or cylinder deactivation is occuring. Oil changes always at 30%ish with the 0-20 Dexos I think the above poster with the fuel dilution idea may be onto something, but i am going to wait and see what the clowns at the circus come up with first. I expect a jerk off session from the Dealer and or GM but I am prepared for the battle. Truck is gorgeous, I have expelled the whole thing since it's first week and done exhaust and wheel and suspension upgrades to it blah blah so this sucks to have to deal with.
  7. Last oil change it came up, but I was travelling alot and added oil and kept running her thinking WTF but did not check records until I was into this oil change only 2k miles and it came on again so for the first 40K it was good to go.
  8. PS when I picked up my truck originally it had like 6 or 10 miles on it but a large number of hours in comparison and I was already home so I did not think much about it. I found out later that Chevy new that they had some crappy issues and were having dealers put large fans in front of the trucks and run em at a high idle for X amount of time to see of they acted up. I will search for that information. Thanks for any and all input.
  9. Towed my landcruiser home across highway 2 from Kalispell MT straight from dealer, I do plenty of accellerating etc by babying I meant no abuse of the vehicle, I have not overloaded it, ran it up and down gravel roads, no potholes, no uber or bs like that. Took it to dealer and getting the Excessive oil consumption test documented, but I already know by checking my records that I am using twice of what is considered the excessive amount so will have to run their miles and see what they plan on doing. No idea what that may be as they are likely to inept to figure out where the oil is going. But will keep everyone posted.
  10. Guys, I have frankly babied this thing and use it mostly as a daily driver for the family not as a TRUCK. Last oil change interval which I do normally at 30% on the indicator my low oil light came on, so I panicked and stopped and checked it thinking No effing way can it be low on oil. Checked it after it sat for a bit and indeed it was low to the tune of 2 quarts.......so thinking somehow I have written the miles down wrong or it was a fluke etc I didn't freak out but did change it again soon thereafter. Well driving with 2063 miles since last change the light/indicator came on and so I checked it and indeed the sob is 2 quarts low again. Using full synthetic 0W20 with the little Dexos words on the oil container and all that jazz, not one drop leaking anywhere and just under 47K miles on it. WTH is this? I am 58 years old born and raised on a ranch and farm with equipment and all sizes of vehicles around. This uses as much oil as anything I have ever been around. Anyone have any input on this? I am thinking dump it and get something else or put the Z06 engine and tranny in it, what a waste of a nice looking truck. Still under warranty til 60K but I am certain GM will say it is normal.
  11. I just use the Pulsar an it takes care of ASS and DFM as well as a host of other things. More $$$ though. https://www.rangetechnology.com/products/pulsar_lt/parts/22451 No affiliation etc but have ran one for 25k miles with zero issues.
  12. look at the pinned tire and wheel setup thread
  13. If it is a small shop maybe it was not computerized and or entered yet ask them on Monday and they can hopefully not put it in, any claims will show up so just cash it out. If it is too late then just keep the dated pics and show the actual damage when you go to sell the truck eventually. Carfax/Autocheck can devalue a vehicle quite easily. Cheers
  14. I am hoping you did NOT get a body shop estimate or this will show up on a carfax.........Fix it the $1100 is peanuts compared to the truck let the Groomsman kick in for his mistakes as well.
  15. No key to turn in the 2020 plus RST But of course my truck is running perfectly now so I cannot wait until this happens when I am in the middle of nowhere or my wife is driving it. Putting it for sale after this trip.
  16. I ordered one just a few minutes ago after watching your video, looks easy enough and removal/ reversal would be quick if I wanted to sell the truck with or without the safe. Thanks for posting.
  17. Looks great excellent mod, I just have to decide which beam pattern, flood seems like it might be pretty good for overall visibility at the rear area of the truck, may I ask how you decided on the diffused pattern? TIA
