  1. I just installed the 5100 Bilsteins on front and rear but left the Rugged Off Road bottom strut spacer in place and have the front struts at stock height with the BFG LT275/60/20. I have no rubbing. The bottom strut spacer gave me 1.75” of front lift. Hope this helps with your decision.
  2. No complaints. Ride is much more controlled and I’m very happy with my setup.
  3. The ride with the Bilsteins is so much better.
  4. Yes, the Rugged off road kit are bottom mount spacers. I've been running the kit right after I bought the truck and had put 50 miles on it along with LT 275/60/20 BFG All Terrain TA KO2 tires and stock 20" wheels with no rubbing at all. The angles after installing the level kit were close to stock based on pics I took and kit raised the front end to be within a 1/4" of the rear height so it is totally unnoticeable in difference, almost level. By running the Bilsteins at stock height I should just get the better ride without any difference in height from what I have today. I am looking forward to getting rid of these so called monotube Rancho shocks. Here's a link to the kit I had installed at my local All Out Off Road shop in the Houston area. https://www.ruggedoffroad.com/product-page/2007-2017-chevy-silverado-gmc-sierra-1500-6-lug-2-0-leveling-kit
  5. Tomorrow, I’m taking off the monotube Ranchos and putting on Bilstein 24-238304 height adjustable in front at stock level and leaving the Rugged Off Road level kit installed, and installing the Bilstein 5100 33-238319 in the rear. The stock Rancho monotubes are terrible. 2200 miles with the Ranchos is all I could take.
  6. Amsoil is liquid gold. I don’t use anything but Amsoil in all my vehicles.
  7. I bought my '18 Sierra new in Feb 2019 and I find the ride of the stock Ranchos very cushiony or mushy. As an adder, I've had both the 5100 Bilsteins and Pro Comp Pro Runner Monotubes and both rode better than these Rancho shocks. I'm not sure if the stock Ranchos are to be similar to the RS5000 series or something of a lesser quality like an OEM shock with Rancho badging. Seems like they might be a twin tube design, and monotubes seems to ride better. Just my opinion.
  8. Borla changed the design on the 400130, previously GMPP 19131347, so it takes 800-1200 miles to break in. More to come once I get more miles on the truck.
  9. Joey says it’s the 3rd cat.
  10. That’s what I’m hearing as well. But when I installed the Borla on my 2011 Silverado with the 5.3 it definitely sounded good. This time on a 2018 it’s barely louder than stock. Trying to figure out why that is and what’s different from the older model trucks to today. Is it the cats are much quieter, the 3rd cat or the resonator. Only other guess i have is that I was sent the touring muffler and not the S type muffler.
  11. I had the Borla 400130 installed today in place of the OEM muffler. There is hardly any change. Do the 3rd cats on these trucks really muffle the exhaust that much? I left the resonator on because the shop said it was straight through and didn't have any effect on the exhaust. It doesn't sound any louder at start up than before. Might should have gotten the Magnaflow 12259 like others on here have said. Ugh! Can you clean out the 3rd cat and reinstall it so it looks like nothing was done?
  12. Has anyone welded in the Borla 400130 that used to be sold under GM performance parts 19131347? It’s the S type muffler that sounds good on start up and when you accelerate while staying relatively quiet on the highway with no drone. I bought it in 2012 for $72 and now Borla and other sites sell it for over $200. Borla says when GM stopped offering it there was such a demand that they continued to market it.
  13. Which Aces location do you visit?

  15. Who's your bender in the area? I need to have my stock muffler and resonator removed and replaced with Carven or some other aftermarket muffler.
  16. I misquoted. Truck is getting the Rugged Off Road 9-100 bottom spacer only for a 1.5- 2” lift.
  17. This Friday, I’m going with the Ready Lift 2.25” level kit but not installing the small spacer on the strut bottom and only using the top spacers. This way I get 2” of lift and shouldn’t have any other issues.
  18. Focal offers multiple lines with the upper being the K2s. I went with the mids and they carry no distortion and the component speakers offer great treble in the tweeters. I had components in the front and 2ways in the rear doors driven buy a Kenwood amp. The front door component speakers carry good bass but you'd want a separate sub if you want more bass, driven by a mono amp or 5 channel. Focal is the best speaker I have ever heard. They're not cheap but they have a great warranty.
  19. Get some Focal speakers and a good amp and you're set. Best speakers I have ever owned.
  20. Been off the site for quite a while due to other things(3 years). Anyways, got rid of the 2011 Silverado this weekend and bought the 2018 GMC Sierra due to all the incentives. Was trying to read up on all the available level kits for the 2014-2018 models. Drove 3 new 2018 Sierras on Saturday and all rode differently ad were equipped exactly the same with Z71 package and Rancho shocks. First one had tight steering and rode very smooth. Never had a truck ride that smooth (but it was 8 years ago when I purchased the 2011 and with all the changes, don't remember the OEM ride). The second truck was a little rougher and the 3rd truck, OMG. I took it back to the dealership and told them about the harsh ride and it wasn't even an option. When I pick up the truck tomorrow (Monday), I want to get it leveled and get new tires, but keep the snowflake GMC 20X9 wheels. So ok guys help me out. You've been experimenting with all these new offerings from Rancho level lifts, Bilstein level lifts and the Rough Country spacer similar to the GMT-900 model. I've sent a note to Rough Country but as you know, they always have recommendations for tire sizes when using OEM wheels but we've all probably used something different and been perfectly fine. Truck has what GM calls the 275/55/20 all-terrain blackwall tires, which are Goodyear Wranglers SR-A tires. To everyone else, they're not all-terrain. Thanks for the insight guys and I'll try to be a little more active going forward.
