  1. It took me a while also. I also loosened the bed bolts also to give it some give when I was knocking the bolt out. After I removed the bolt I cut off the bolt lip on the head so it would be easier to knock it back in.
  2. I agree courts94s. I think GM finally realized that they don't need to put all that badging to the trucks to look good. Most people take them off as soon as they buy them. I love this color I hoe you will too!
  3. Thanks! I am debating on going back with 305/45/22 or switching to 305/40/22. i got a killer price on a Falken t305/40/22 yesterday . $140 ea.
  4. What brand of tires are you running? I am running 305/45/22 Yokohama. I took these tires and wheels off my 2010 and I will have to replace them probably next year and I am looking for something else.
  5. I installed my two in drop yesterday on my 14. The hardest part of the whole thing was folding over the bed seam to get the bolt out. If I didn't have to do that it would have been about an hour job. To make the job easier I cut the lip on one side of the bolt so it would go back easier. I have the 1/2 in block but the alignment holes didn't fit and it didn't lay flat. LTZ Tom what did you do to make it fit? He is the before and after.
  6. Picked it up from the dealer today. I had the rack and pinion replaced.
  7. I had two people ding my truck and I hadn't had it a month yet. I wet sanded the scratch with 3000 grit first to get the scratch out. then I used 3m compound, Meguiar's compound and polish, then wax. It got it all out. You have to watch the wet sanding so you don't go thru the clear coat. That's why I use 3000. I hope this helps!
  8. I have 305/45/22 on my truck. They came from my 2010 and I had them switched over. They fit much better on the 14 than they did on the 10. I say 22s look good on the truck with the wide tire. These pics are not great but you can see them from the front to let you see how far they stick out. I was taking a pic of my 62. I hope this helps a little.
  9. 305/45/22 on liquid metal machine and black wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Had to buff out a six in scratch some dumb a** left for me on my door. Hand't had it two weeks yet!!!
  11. I agree with that. My 2010 had way too much on the sides, so I took off the moldings, and badges to give it a cleaner look. Thats what I really like about this truck, no moldings and extra badges. Thanks for the info!
  12. Build was 12/13. I Guess later. It also has the pickup for the cargo light
  13. Where do I find that build date? I guess Im looking in the wrong place. chuckl1218 where are you located?
  14. Mine only came with the Texas edition emblems. I think now the Texas edition LTZ have both the Silverado and Texas edition badges. When I was looking on the lot there were a bunch like mine there. But I do like it better.
  15. Did my first wax on the truck today.

    2014 Silverado Texas Edition

Texas Edition Leather, Bed liner tint
  17. Finally picked up my new Silverado today. The leather and bed liner was added. I love this thing especially the Tungsten color with the wheels.
  18. My wife's beetle has the carpet also and it's a carpet liner like the trucks. In Germany most of the cars have the same stuff in the wheel liners and have been using them for years. I have been cleaning her car with a pressure washer or strong hose. It work good and no problems yet. I use the general pressure tip.
  19. Did you use gray plasti-dip?
  20. Thanks, I just can't wait to get the truck. I'm planning on doing about the same things that you have done to yours. My 2010 had 2in rear shackles and de badge with color bow ties and pained front grill. This time I'm going to leave the chrome grill. I'm planning on keeping my 22s but I don't know if the 2010 tire sensors will work in my 2014? Here is a pic of my 2010.
  21. Here is mine still at the dealer. I wanted leather and a bed liner added so it is another two weeks before I can get it. I am still driving my 2010. I can't wait to get it!
