  1. Didn't do anything with my truck, including work. Little issue with current medical problems. Asthma sucks, maybe tomorrow truck will see some use.
  2. That's not helping you much... lol Need to get that bad boy going, go with the 6.0 nicely.
  3. What's the latest on your new alternator Chris?
  4. Just one more full week before I start vacation...can't wait.

Yup, I think so. In just a few short hours my "Friday" will be over. Then just two more work days and rolling out. =)

  5. 11pm-7am shift, does NOT work for me.

Sounds a bit like mid shift to me!

Exactly what it is...I hate it. Evenings are nice but weekends with the family are a bust.

  6. Went around town to get a few things. Picked up a hitch mounted cargo carrier for the wife's Jeep (road trip in a couple of weeks), fake Christmas tree to replace the one we lost when moved this summer (how do you lose a dang tree??), got a few more lighting accessories for the holiday lights, got oil & filter for wife's Jeep, went to Walmart to get my boy some more pants (lil stinker is growing way too fast), came home, off loaded stuff, loaded up the garbage/recycleables to take to recycle center tomorrow. Gee guess what I'll be doing tomorrow...lol
  7. Nice. That's my favorite price. Chris, congrats on the 6.0, I loved my '07 vmax. Don't eat that whole burrito, you may blow a different gasket... That's a good one...
  8. HT tires are are ugly too but they perform a lot better on road then AT tires and you get better MPG's with them I hear ya' when I first bought my current tires they accidently put on the HT version. I didn't have time that day to get them swapped so garage let me keep them for the day. It happen to rainand they were awesome on the wet roads and very quiet. I just knew what I was going to be using the truck for so got them swapped for my ATs. Just wish I could get more miles out of them. 35k miles and they are about done.
  9. Had that happen a few times, hilarious everytime.
  10. HT tires on my truck...I think not...lol I just couldn't bring myself to do that. Too many times of leaving the roadway and needing off road traction.
  11. Happy Thanksgiving to all, a little early.

  12. Went to Lowe's to try to find some parts for a BBQ grill I acquired. No luck but enjoyed looking at all the stuff I want & can't afford right this moment.
  13. I think he meant the 6L80. Right?
  14. I'm just thinking along with all others suggestions, might want to do complete fluid flush/change as well. That's a lot of miles and the fluid may be shot.
  15. Checked and corrected all fluid levels. Need to get my transmission fluid/filter changed, starting to discolor a bit. Plus put some extra "winter air" in my tires. Cooler air left them a little low.
  16. Just as another suggestion, bearings? Could have one letting go on you.
  17. Lol, it quit before I cursed so..GMC started it...
  18. I cursed at my truck a bit. Fuel gage is now completely unresponsive.
  19. When I found my truck 6+ years ago I knew I had found THE truck I always wanted. Since then I haven't found one single vehicle I'd even remotely consider trading it in for. The 900s looks final grew on me but the options/set up just never matched what I have or how I like them. My current plan is now to keep this one and add the next truck vs replacing this truck to the inventory.
  20. Helped a friend move stuff to a storage unit. Probably be helping the rest of the week.
  21. HaHa! I understand too, LOL! Graveyard shifts, 12 hour shifts, weekends, holidays, yup worked them all. Being military has that "advantage". I'm spending this week on 12s' no fun for me. Having a drink at 9am...hell yeah.
  22. Finally made time to replace the front brakes. Rotors were probably salvageable but seemed better to just replace them. Went back to ceramic so we'll see how bad the break dust is and how long they last. The last ones were semi metallic and it felt like they wore pretty fast. Took couple of hours, no beer but plenty of interruptions from the neighborhood. Lubed up the suspension while I was under there. Also got rid of the rotor retaining bolts. They were rusted badly and broke my torx bit getting them out. Won't miss those blasted things.
  23. Ever done it before? I was concerned when I did mine, heard stories stripped or busted bolts. Then heard more stories of leaks. Mine was a breeze, took me longer to scrap off old gasket than anything else and never leaked. Using safety wire as a "dipstick" makes checking the level much easier.
  24. There's an image I didn't need....lol
  25. Tell me about it, 78 here. I've got people working for me that were born in the 90s...
