  1. That's what I was thinking. I read somewhere that a few parts were changed over but it was primarily the sunshell being upgraded. Wish I could find that article...
  2. I was in 3rd and T/H the whole way. I've tried Drive before and it just won't hold the gear and ends up shifting a lot more than I prefer. Plus the few times I was in Drive the mileage didn't change any but I don't like lugging the engine like that. I'd love to regear but $$ is what I haven't got right now. 3.42s do pretty good, but I need just a little bit more.
  3. Well I guess I better get caught up on this thread. Two weeks ago was preparing to go "camping" in the trailer so several trips to different places for parts/pieces. Last week I was camping so I pulled the trailer about 400 miles one way up, of course drove around all the touristy stuff, then drove back. Trailer needs more work but truck pulled awesome, even when it was raining. Then this past weekend I was cleaning out the truck from the trip...boy what a mess the family can make. Final MPG was about 11.5 going (~70 mph) and about 12.5-13 mpg coming back, drove slower since it was raining. Good truck, makes for a good trip.
  4. I'd definitely go by the door. It is odd that the GVWR in the book would be at all different from the sticker but hey I didn't design these vehicles. Hope the truck is a good one for you.
  5. Wait, THEY messed up and YOU had to pay?
  6. What do you mean VIN sticker? The one in the door? Also the manual isn't going to be unique to your truck. It tells the GVWR for all the different variances of your model truck doesn't it. Not trying to be insulting, just want to clarify.
  7. No wonder you got an error code, you were missing the cap...j/k... I picked up some tables for Saturday "birthday party" (carnival theme).
  8. Went to Lowe's to pick up some lumber for my travel trailer repair and some PVC piping for a project I have to have ready for my son's birthday party on Saturday.
  9. Well the last time I had the CEL light on I was told to just put a piece of electrical tape over it...this was a tech a the local GMC dealership...wonder why they got shut down a while back???? I guess it would serve the purpose of not have a light "lit up" right? lol
  10. Only a few thousand pounds at the most, but it took a looooot of trips since it's all I could get a hold off at the time...oh you meant elite's boat...oops....lol
  11. Finally got around to putting up a pic. This is actually from this past summer when I moved from my old house to a few miles up the road. The house was literally falling apart and we couldn't handle the mold issues anymore.
  12. Stuck at work until who knows when...

  13. Working on cleaning up and sorting more stuff/garbage, yet again. After taking a load to a consignment sale now the truck is sitting with the bed full of garbage...yet again. Can't wait until my trash service finally starts...my recycle center was closed down so now I have to use curb side trash. Also cleaned up the inside a little bit, trash, stuff, vacuum, fabreeze...my dog needs a bath. My back seat reeeks like wet dog.
  14. Me too. Color looks really good on the truck.
  15. Back on the night shift....again...

  16. Yeah, mine is on 300 ish hours right now, 104k miles. Just waiting for the reset anytime now. It's been as high as ~2k hours before.
  17. I think my baldness it letting my intelligence fly away in the breeze.

  18. ^^^^ Sounds like a great idea.
  19. So when does the sig pic get updated??? lol
  20. That is going to be one mean truck truck once you're done. If you're going to upgrade tires with the lift, you can bring me those BFG's. I could use some tires for mine. (Pssst, hate to tell you this but on the last few pics, the dirt on your truck is showing, just thought you should know.)
  21. Well over the weekend I did manage to get caught up on the oil change and chasis lube. Tires didn't get rotated but by the looks of them I'm better off replacing them. They are just about done.
  22. Holy Toledo and chicken feed...guess I can't complain about gas prices anymore. Even the "good" stuff here is going for just over $4 a gallon. Wow that's pricey...
  23. ??? What??? That doesn't make any sense in my mind. I drove from Alaska to Georgia on a 6300 mile trek with my truck with 50k miles at the time. Original oil in the rear end and the truck was fully loaded (and towing) and driving for 12-14 hours a day. Never had a vibration that came from the rear end. I didn't even change to oil for the first time until about 96k miles and it was still pretty good looking at the time. I personally would want a second opinion of that assessment. No disrespect to your buddy but that sounds a little "off" to me.
  24. It's Thursday of one of the loooongest weeks I've ever had...is it Friday yet?
