  1. May 18th is the target production week (TPW) it is scheduled for production, not a individual day.
  2. I can't believe a dealer person would BS me. I never got anything about the cover warranty with the purchase. I just looked in the truck and nothing there, unless they will handle it for the customer.
  3. GM Accessory Tro-fold by REV. Ordered it with the truck so it would be covered by the Bumper to Bumper warranty and also because I have had it on my last 2 trucks (2017 & 2021) and 100% satisfied with looks and functionality. It has survived harsh Michigan winters and always looks new. With the GM ones, if dealer installs at time of sale, covered by B-B warranty, if you install, not covered by GM but the cover maker (REV) warranty applies. Pic of cover in da 2024...

  6. NASA did not care if AMSOIL was dexos licensed.
  7. I tried to buy Mobil 1 when it came out circa 1975 but it was hard to find around here. AMSOIL was not. It made like 200+ from me.
  8. Like the 1976 headline states;;;
  9. GM approved lubes are minimum requirement, aka 'good enough lubricants'. There's obviously better made lubricants on today's market that meet and exceed GM specs and do a much better job. It doesn't mean by any means they are indeed the absolute best. It just means that are not paying GM to be on a list.
  10. Oiled air filter in use?
  11. Use any brand you want. Anything with Dexron name on the label its basically all the same, just different packaging and propaganda. GM is making money from allowing them to use the name Its not an indication of superior quality, just that its good enough to meet GM spec. And we all know the reputation of GM transmissions.
  12. All he cares about is $ so should be happy with that one?
  13. Try an AC Delco dealer, they are often up to 50% cheaper for same parts. Otherwise, pay the dealer or junk the truck. PS - ebay has one left in stock. https://www.ebay.com/itm/166916294677
  14. Whats done is done, they are not going to do anything to current vehicles. Those new rules pertain to 2027-2032 epa regs.
  15. Oh, I thought the consensus on these forums was 0W- oil is NO GOOD, don't use?
  16. fyi This is good. https://www.autoblog.com/news/valvoline-sued-after-using-the-wrong-oil-in-customers-engine
  17. The Dexos licensing system is voluntary certifications that only set minimum quality standards! If good enough is what matters, then buy oil with the dexos logo and help GM make more money. Before you think its not a profit making scheme for GM, read this
  18. A 2020 can't still be under warranty 5 yrs / 70,000 miles. The dealers are independent and GM has no control over what they charge. The cost of doing business has skyrocketed, local GM/Ford/RAM dealers here are up to $195 hr labor.
  19. What was the filter brand? If AC Delco, you sure it was a genuine brand. I know an AC Delco shop and he showed me a warning letter a while back about clones being found in some big name parts stores. Some brands are just made cheap, gaskets and metal cans weak. Business associate had problems when he went to cheaper filter in his shop and started to get come backs because of oil leaks. Filters were junk and he had to upgrade from some no-name cheap brand to NAPA filters (local NAPA store gave him best prices). Never had a oil filter come loose on any of my 6.2L engines, never had one ever on any engine.
  20. i saw a window sticker for a 2024 Escalade with a SC 6.2L and the sticker was +$150K. There won't be many sitting on the lots, even if the dealer gets an allocation for one.
  21. Have you ever changed the cabin air filter? Per gm service; The most common causes of undesirable odors are: Debris in the heater and air conditioning evaporator and blower module. Microbial growth on the evaporator core.
