  1. Installed 5100's up front today. Took a lot longer than I expected, first time working with a coil spring. Didn't have time to do the rears, maybe tomorrow. So far, the ride is noticeably better on my short 2 mile round trip to 7/11 lol guess I'll find out how it rides tomorrow on my way to work Old shock New shocks for all 4 corners Few pics of shocks installed My sweet impact gun I got last week, so excited to put it to work finally. So much torque I snapped a 10.9 grade bolt, which also slowed me down from installing the rears. 45 min round trip to Lowe's really kills time Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  2. Cleaned it up after getting it back from the body shop after 7 weeks. Looked it over really good after it was all cleaned up and found more scratches and imperfections. The body shop has a lifetime on their paint and body work so they already know it's coming back. They also did a half ass job on my alignment, crooked about 30 degrees to the right. I should be getting my new 5100 fronts in today and if I have time I'll install both front and rears. Gonna keep the setting at stock height on the shocks for the coils and just keep my 2" level Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah, they were. Just checked Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  4. I got some powerstop kit on amazon, came with rotors and pads for 210 I believe, can't remember what pads came with it Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  5. I have slotted on my truck and I couldn't tell if it was the pads or the rotors that made a difference but I could definitely notice the difference with them on there Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  6. Welp, finally got her back. Looked the truck over head to toe twice before accepting it. Few things I found wrong: *Very small dents on both rear passenger doors *They didn't paint some paint chips on my tailgate, also some rock chips on the hood *Needs an alignment, idk what they did, maybe something is bent somewhere Other than that, truck looks phenomenal. They didn't clean it up as well as I would have (mud up in the engine bay, underneath, etc) and some swirl marks. The guy I talked to said to bring it back in after he, I, and the insurance company come to an agreement on the stuff that wasn't on the ticket (hood rock chips, tailgate paint chips) and then fix the dents and do the alignment I have two new tires, idk why but they are both on the driver side. Tomorrow I'm gonna rotate them to the back, as well as power wash all the mud off and clean up the window real good and rain x them Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  7. In my case it was the tires, unless other parts start losing their tolerances and the truck starts to vibrate again Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  8. Well looks like I should be getting her back either tomorrow or early next week. So, here's what I have lined up... Bought some 5100's off a fellow member here over a month ago, and I just ordered the front pair off Amazon today. So those will go on when they are all here. Interior lights, I think I'll do the fronts only, don't feel like running wire to the back where no one really cares anyways. If they didn't transfer my bumper step lights then I'll redo those even though they are a pain in the rear to access all the bolts. Besides that, I'm also now thinking about installing some rear bags to help with towing. Yes, I have the helper springs but they are only good for so much. Plus, with the Firestone bags, I can keep the helper springs bc the bags replace the jounce bumper and sits on that pad. Don't need a compressor kit, I normally have a compressor handy, or I can always carry my little porter cable 12v compressor (runs either cigarette lighter outlet or on 18v porter cable battery, pretty nice for $40) So basically a lot of suspension upgrades lol. Me and the gf were talking about getting both of our windows tinted as well, so maybe do that in the off season and maybe they would give us a multi vehicle discount. Other than mods, I'm gonna definitely try and work to keep her spotless, keep up on waxing and such, because not having her for 7+ weeks makes me realize how nice it is to have a pickup truck lol Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  9. Nah those are too generic. My buddy has one that says "99 GMC" like okay yeah we get it. Gotta be kustom, yes with a K Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  10. 60 to 70 highway? I have my doubts as you can see. 38 city is reasonable and maybe high 40's low 50's for highway but I've never heard of something as high as 60+ Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  11. There is no definite percentage because GM doesn't want to compile statistics as they don't see it as an issue Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  12. Yup, you can also see the front diff if you zoom in Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  13. I've never had an issue with seized plugs when I put a good coat of antiseize on them. I actually have more issues with getting the boots off the spark plug end, and yes, I even coat the crap out of them with dielectric Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  14. Exactly! And glad you're still a member with us, we do have a dedicated crossover section as well on here if you have yet to check it out! Enjoy! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  15. Many members have traded in their shakers but that doesn't mean they are trolling. Maybe they just want to see if a REAL solution has been found. They are just giving a suggestion based on their experiences with their current choices. For those members who have traded for another brand, I'm glad you are in a truck that satisfies you and doesn't shake and drive you crazy and make you mad. I'm glad mine went away with a new set of tires or else I'd be in the same boat as y'all. Sincerly, K2 Moderator Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  16. Had a misfire due to the Bosch wires so swapped out for Delco wires and NGK Iridium plugs, didn't have an issue till the day I sold the truck. I run NGK Iridium in everything I own with a motor... which isn't much [emoji23] Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  17. Have always had bad luck with Bosch electrical anything, I agree with Daryl. ACDelco wires or even a set of MSD wires Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  18. ^^Yes lol Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  19. Nope Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  20. Good thing I can delete replies as so they don't clutter up this thread. Jesse and Snoringbear settle down. Hash it out in the PM's if you wish but if I see it on here y'all will both get a vacation
  21. Do your lift spindles use factory ball joints? I didn't know different cab configs used different ball joints
  22. Mine are noticeable but not inside the cab, not even at idle. If you can hear them while driving that seems like they are worn out or something. I'm sure they get a bit louder as they age but shouldn't be noticeable while driving
  23. Sure it's not the injectors tick? They make a bit of noise
  24. Lowes, home depot, etc. Should be in the welding section area
