  1. Managed to break the car wash the first time I took this truck through it [emoji23] Sent while in 'Murica...
  2. The harness is usually because the stock wiring will cause some lower grade HID'S not to light up or flicker Sent while in 'Murica...
  3. Doesn't the harness just help provide extra amperage during startup to help get the bulbs heated up quicker? Also to take the load off of the factory harness Sent while in 'Murica...
  4. Towed a load of pallets for a bonfire next weekend. 775 miles on the truck lol Sent while in 'Murica...
  5. Agreed. I went back to the regular bulbs cause they put off more light than the leds I had in there. A good led bulb costs too much for what it's worth EDIT: This was on my 02 Sent while in 'Murica...
  6. Nope. only thing I got in addition that cost me something was the premium coat. The flakes were something the owner of this line x dealership wanted to do to set them apart from the other dealers Sent while in 'Murica...
  7. I would do the retrofit if I had a sierra with round housings. I have the rectangular silverado housings so would need something similar in size to retrofit Sent while in 'Murica...
  8. I don't get why they got rid of them. I mean, I have puddle lamps on my mirror, but no footwell lights. Doesnt make sense haha Sent while in 'Murica...
  9. Friday I plan on ordering lights to install for footwell lighting from this place, gonna do white: http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux I was also just outside hooking up my trailer to the truck and realized there is no light back there for when you hook up a trailer in the dark! Now I know its not a huge deal, but I figured, hey why not install some of those lights, since they claim to be waterproof, back there so I can see while hooking stuff up. Shouldn't be too bad. I'll just wire it in with the bed lights, which should be real easy to do. They claim a 3/8" hole is big enough to mount one in so shouldn't be too hard. Hopefully this works out cause I don't believe Ive ever seen someone mount lights there
  10. Got bedliner sprayed in with emblem on the bulkhead and silver flake. Looks awesome to me! Sent while in 'Murica...
  11. Came out awesome. Love the silver flake and bowtie emblem Sent while in 'Murica...
  12. Reason I steered away is because they are only rated to tow 6600 lbs which is good enough for me but i know towing with the setup I just explained (35's and 3.73's) it felt like the truck was barely moving with a 5000 lb. load behind it. I wish I had 3.73's in this new '14, supposedly rated to tow like almost 12k pounds with them Sent while in 'Murica...
  13. So I know it's a bit off topic, but for those who had trouble with HID'S in the fogs, did you end up going with an LED bulb? I want the bulb to match, and hopefully also be used as an actual fog lamp. I'm looking at the $60 set from VLED and also a cheaper bulb with 5 chip on board leds from DDM Sent while in 'Murica...
  14. Getting Line X with UV protection as we speak. Will post pics when it's done Sent while in 'Murica...
  15. Never driven a truck with 3.08s. Is it really sluggish? It would be the equivalent of 3.73's in my 02 with 35's Sent while in 'Murica...
  16. Do you have like 3.08 gears now? I made sure to look for the trucks with 3.42's. Luckily, all the high country's come standard with them Sent while in 'Murica...
  17. My factory one was with the truck till 308k and since then I've had issues. The one rear end was rebuilt with cheap parts and the last one had a rotted housing Sent while in 'Murica...
  18. Nope. Didn't take it above 4k rpm and no hard launches until the first drain and refill at 2k miles. It's just my luck with transmissions I suppose Sent while in 'Murica...
  19. It's funny cause he's well known all over the inter webs and I've only seen one other person on ls1tech.com have an issue with him. I'm sure oversized tires weren't helping but no reason for it to fail so soon Sent while in 'Murica...
  20. Got my 60e ready to be shipped back to Performabuilt. Dropped my mag hytec pan to put the stock pan on There's supposed to be large metal flakes, right?? [emoji23] Sent while in 'Murica...
  21. Sounds like you solved it but you'll find out tomorrow morning! Sent while in 'Murica...
  22. You could always try cleaning the MAF sensor before replacing. Also check to make sure no wires are broke Sent while in 'Murica...
  23. 99-02 were great trucks. Super easy to access and work on everything. If you ever need tips on something just private message me and I'll help however I can! I actually just yanked the trans from it yesterday. 3 hours taking my time by myself. There again, this is like the 5th time I've pulled it, plus a body lift really helps things go along a lot faster lol Sent while in 'Murica...
  24. Thanks man! Thats actually my play truck now, got a 14 CC High Country as my DD a little over a week ago. And yeah its real easy, just ground out the yellow wire on either low beam. I did passenger because I have a cold air intake so it was real easy to access. Couldn't believe how easy it was! Sent while in 'Murica...
  25. Pulled the trans in the 02, again... Back to Performabuilt it goes for another rebuild! This time I'm going to have them put in a smaller servo so it don't kick so hard into 2nd. It's not my daily anymore but it will still get on my nerves when I drive it lol Sent while in 'Murica...
