  1. Wow, 49K that is low! I had the same thing on my '05 with 102K so changed plugs/wires and was good for a couple of weeks. Took it back to my shop buddy and he told me I still had miss-fire on three cylinders. Long story short, he told me to replace all of the coil packs, which I did and problem solved. Just back from a 2144 mile trip towing the TT and never a blip.
  2. Decided to dive in and took a little over an hour on the first one (note to self: keep the screws in order), and 25 min on the second one.
  3. I have been using that one on my last three trailers. Mine looks exactly the same.
  4. It is okay to laugh if I am overthinking this, but I am going to switch out to tow mirrors that are manual. Does anything need to be done with the wiring after I unplug the connectors other than make them watertight? I know if I was going the other direction there may be a PCM re-learn.
  5. Totally agree with your statements. I still have one of the orginal 18v black batteries that just won't die. I have six of the 4ah becuase the wife bought herself the weedwhacker and blower. She is all excited because her new to her 4runner has 120v plug receps so she can charge batts do yardwork at our off the grid cabin.
  6. One of many from our trip to Canada last September.
  7. You wouldn't believe some of the towing questions asked on an RV forum I belong to...
  8. Seeing as how the wife is the one taking more photos that myself, she wanted a better point and shoot. Nikon B500 fit the bill and she loves it and was in her price range of what she wanted to pay.
  9. What sucks is that Idaho recognizes Oregon concealed permits, but they don't ours. PITA when I want to take a weapon to our cabin in OR. Ammo and weapon cannot be in the same area of your vehicle. I will not open carry while traveling there....
  10. Okay you wrench jockies with all of these high miles, what should I have in my tool box? Have most everything + other than a code reader...? Serious, do all my own work and a bone stock type of guy. That is about the only thing I don't have.
  11. Finally got around to figuring out the mileage from a road trip (1138 miles) we just got back from. It was a treat not to be towing our tt this time. Went up through Montana, over to Washington, back down to Idaho. Fueled up five times differing driving condtions, most on two lane with 65-75 limits and alot of mountain passes with 25mph corners. We had a 14.8,14.37,12.3, 14.85 and 14.2 for mileage while keeping my eye on the tach. Looking back, the 12.3 mileage was a day that we were mostly in-town driving. Need to quit racking up the miles on our '05/6.0 though because we are up to 84,619....
  12. Did some heavy towing, NOT! 48" of snow on the level and glad the road, parking lot and trail was groomed.
