  1. If the tab on that connector breaks off and the port opens you will get a lean fuel code and need yo put a cap on it. My 2010 tab got knocked off by my mechanic while changing the plugs and we put a cap on the port.
  2. We used to say "Drive it til the roof leaks" but cannot do that anymore with the rear window problems on some of the newer trucks.
  3. There is no part number, just go to your local GM dealer parts counter and ask for the connectors for the MBEC. Last time my parts gave me a couple for $2. I also found some at a local computer/electronics store that fit.
  4. You do not need the MBEC connector, just the pin connectors which you can get from the dealer for very cheap.
  5. I concur with Grumpy and Rav3, keep the old one until you feel it is too unreliable for your intended use. I always keep mine for 10+ years. I consider my current 2010 just broken in and very reliable, I will wait until the market turns around and proper deals start happening. Being retired I should be able to keep this one 20+ years even in the rust belt I currently live in.
  6. There is a SEO connector in the black box under the parking brake. Check it out on gmupfitter.com. has both RAP and regular connectors available. Just need to get the terminal connectors from your GM dealer.
  7. The website is GMUPFITTER.COM and look for the electrical manual for your year and model. It also has pictures in the manual of the location of the SEO box and connectors.
  8. Had my 2010 done last fall on the recall. Find another dealer.

    Paging jetteach

Use to fly for work all over the world, mostly Europe and Asia. Since I retired 9 years ago, I have not been on a plane and have no plans to, even though it would be free with all my built up points. It seems that some people enjoy getting their luggage lost or missing connections just to get a few rays of sun or visit somewhere exotic. Been there done that not going back!!! We all need to get over all this flying around the globe for fun.
  10. Most body shops I use will give them to you for free. They get them for 2 to 3 cents in bulk.
  11. Donstar, BHP isn't always cancer, but, may cause eventual prostate cancer (usually of the slow growing variety). The question really should be "how often do you get up in the middle of the night to urinate?" I had 2/3eds of my prostate removed (non-cancerous) to alleviate a urine retention problem. Now I can sleep a full night without interruption and my health has improved because of proper sleep.

212 on a rural party line and not even a rotary phone. Ask the operator to connect you. I cannot even remember my cell phone number some times let alone passwords.
  13. Use the SEO upfitters panel near the kick panel under the parking brake pedal. Go to GMUpfitters website for the details. There are both switched and constant in that panel. That's how I installed my dash and backup cam. If you don't habe the internal brake controller the blunt cut orange wire from the aftermarket brake controller connectors is the best way to get the backup signal to the cam.
  14. Search GMupfitter.com on google. They have all the wiring diagrams for our trucks.
  15. That is only if the tires are NOT directional. Some tires only should be used in the correct direction as marked on the sidewall.
