The recall stories seem to becoming way to frequently lately for the GM trucks. Last week it was full size trucks and this week it is the mid-size trucks that have a new recall. The Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon are being recalled because "A poor electrical connection within the steering gear connector may cause a loss of power steering assist." This could cause a crash due to loss of steering control when the power cuts out leaving drivers with steering that is not boosted. Back in January we reported on a recall for the 2016 Canyon and Colorado related to the interior console.

NHTSA says that the recall covers 2015 model year trucks made from January through April of last year. GM will replace the steering gear pinion sensor cover assembly at no cost to owners. To see if your truck is affected by the recall click here.
