  1. Yes, it is normal. You quoted @newdude saying that. He's a GM tech. Nothing 'extra' happens. You're just seeing the second stage kick in. Relax. All it good.

  2. If you have any connections with a dealer you may find one of these Molex connectors in a scrap harness. The 24 HD trucks use this connector. You would need to de-pin one from a harness. Use cation when putting it in the new connector that the lock tab is facing the correct way.

  5. He is a good mechanic and is absolutely correct -- not all trucks came with the connector installed. As mikey posted, Phil (owner of harnessdr website) is on these forums as "pgamboa" and can help you out. Also there numerous threads on here already covering it (search is your friend), here are a few that include images, videos, and part numbers:

  6. Actually the latest is either Rev D or E, but I don't have access to the database anymore, so I was just listing the "base" PIT number. If somebody takes that to a dealer they can pull the latest revision.

  7. Took it for a camping trip, packed to the brim. Two kayaks(14' and 10') top and middle rack packed and bed packed.. cab packed as well with kids.. 4/hr drive through some mountains(210 miles one way), kayaks stayed strapped through some good speed . Might do a camper shell next time and put the rhino rack on top to hold the kayaks. I like the Elevate racks with the TS rails, works well with my BakFlip MX4. The rhino middle rack is great as well, keyed and easy to come on/off.

  9. For anyone wondering how this can be done without drilling into their taillight, here is my first attempt at less destructive installation. I am printing this in ASA as it is very UV resistant. It mounts via adhesive for now and has an integrated drain (although the camera is fairly water resistant anyways). I am already working on another revision for this.

  10. I changed my brakes last Friday. I couldnt reset the brake pad life monitor. I purchased a topdon Artidiag500 scanner and was able to reset it this way.
