The shop had some left over wrap so they wrapped the mini Trail Boss to match my truck. I also upgraded the stock slow battery to handle a DeWalt 20V battery.3 points

Only time I use it is if I'm towing the RV through a construction zone and want to maintain a big gap between myself and the vehicle in front of me. Rest of the time it's regular cruise. The algorithm on the GM HDs sucks for adaptive cruise. My wife's Mercedes is a million times better. I like the cruise on that thing. You barely notice it, and it will keep a close enough distance you rarely get cut off.1 point

GM/the dealer can't offer or do anything. That is the IOR radio which can't have anything added to it from GM. You can do the IOR to IOU upgrade like what KTDanforth linked, but you must have Onstar UE1 RPO code and there is no guarantee you'd get any of the features like cameras or the trailering app. You also won't have access to any of the downloadable apps like weather and traffic, Spotify, etc. So all you'd really be gaining from IOR to IOU is the navigation and 1 inch larger screen. There is also the aftermarket screen upgrade too - Amazon.com: 15.6 Inch Touch Screen Android Car Radio for GMC Sierra Chevrolet Silverado 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 Head Unit Wirless Carplay GPS Navigation Screen Upgrade Multimedia Player Android Auto : Electronics1 point

@Chuck FB I was actually at 45. I dropped to 40 yesterday and looks like I have good contact patch and it feels like the softest it's going to be short of bar and spring changes. Every bump and crevis still transmits but there is no harshness or jolting. I can hit speed bumps at full speed and the truck feels even softer and soaks them up. The combo is working well. I'll try 35 next and chalk line them. Thanks.1 point

I beg to differ- I drive a '14 4.3 Ecotech (flex fuel), and I pull a 18' flatbed frequently with well more than 1klbs, in fact, I pulled a 98 extended cab K1500 w/a extra 350 in the bed of it, up a pretty good mtn a while back, and was still up to a good speed at the top, I wasn't wanting it to be going any faster either (makes a turn at the top). I have no problems getting up to speed on the interstate with 1200-1500 lbs in the bed either, or hauling 2 or 3 large round bales of hay... These v6 are a whole different breed then the v6 from the vortex years or before... I have a 93 4.3 5 speed too, peppy as it is, it can't do what the '14 v6 can... It does more then our 91 and 94 v8s easily1 point

I have used the Range Technologies DFM disabler on 3 T1s. 2021 and 2023 with 5.3 and 2025 w/6.2. They all worked perfectly. There are some people who think if you have the collapsible lifters that they will fail regardless but i don't believe that. I have been a Master Technician for over 35 years. My advice to you is get the Range disabler and don't worry about the lifters. By the way this also disables auto stop/start which most people hate.1 point

I have a project I want to do. I have a 83 mile one way commute, AC compressor on my accord seized, and I had to daily the truck for a couple weeks while I waited for parts. The truck’s brakes were not to my liking on the mountain. When I looked up some order history, they were last changed on 2016 when I put the 2005-06 larger front brakes on. Decided to do the 2019 4 piston and saw a CHP Tahoe and its 20 inch wheels. Started digging deeper and now it’s getting the 6 piston Brembo calipers. So I needed a larger spare wheel. Still in the part collection phase. Also realized I had a hydroboost unit on the shelf in the garage that’s been sitting for about 7 years. The Tahoe steel 20 fits on the 2004 carrier. Just hangs down a little more1 point

Older spys. The regular cab is the most recent spy shots taken. The only other thing, IF they did it, is if they moved everything to inside/part of the CHMSL spoiler on double and crew cabs. Regular cabs don't use a spoiler on the top of the cab so they'd have to roof mount. IMO, that's a slim IF. I wouldn't be surprised if they debut with a shark fin on all cabs.1 point

The lack of a column shifter in the 1500 put me over the fence to the 2500. Also, I don't like the squarish tile pipes.1 point

I bought an 2500 AT4HD gasser even though I didn't need one. I didn't like some of the features on the new GMC 1500's and definitely didn't need a 3500 SRW. The 2500HD was a good choice for me. If the choice was a 1500 or a 3500, I would have got the 1500 and would have hated some of the features. In case you are wondering, I don't like the electronic console shifter, start/stop and cylinder deactivation. I never drove a 1500 with the console shifter but always like a column shifter. My last 1500 had a column shifter and cylinder deactivation, but did not have start/stop. My AT4HD is my first truck with push button start. I think some of the 1500 lower trims still had a column shift. Either way, free country and I can spend my money as I see fit!1 point

I have the plow prep package and don't have the louvers. My cousin has a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LT without plow prep package and has no louvers.1 point
