  1. IF,IF,IF. If they cared about quality instead of profit and this applies to any company, what a concept.

  2. It was a bad pump, i had a dealer next day the pump. Gm part #86591535. Tools needed 10mm socket, pliers for hose clamps, 1/2gal of Dexcool. About 30mins to remove and install, pump located near oil filter on driver's side frame rail. I had a local mobile mechanic delete the code, he had a snap on scan tool. My scanner could not delete the code. I drove back home about 700 miles since then, and no check engine light. Hope this helps someone in the future in the same situation i was in. Thank you to all that helped me.

  3. Yes I have is set with the 1mm disk (Minumim Tension), for spring spacing and I raised my truck in the rear 1.5". You can go 2mm and I think 3mm if you need.Minimum. We are on our way to TN from GA.. My wife is driving and stated she cannot believe and stated she can not belive the difference.

  4. Most 1 ton trucks come with the factory overload spring, which need to be removed for installation of RoadActive Suspension. Removing the overload allows proper fitment and ensures the system works as intended. The RAS® Mega-Duty kit will reduce squat and provide significant improvement vs the factory overload spring.

  5. ouch to both. $650 for hooking up their computer and hitting a "reset adapts" button is ridiculous. and I would want to know why they think a new transmission is required besides the manager wanting a bigger bonus this quarter.

  6. Thanks everyone for your input on this subject. It was very entertaining but not educational. Bottom line. The GM 6.6L should not consume oil, which it does, no matter the driving style. Only time will tell if it lasts past 100k. I am hoping 200k+. GM needs to get back to the piston rings and top fuel injection which works and has been proven. You may now move about the cabin.

  7. By rights these trucks should come from the factory or at least have a factory optional anti sway bar for towing high trailers and certainly slide in campers. GM always used to have their trucks fitted with rear sway bars if optioned properly but for some odd reason don't do that anymore. Certainly a sway bar would help that issue a lot, not the ride though but the leaning/control.

  10. There hasn't been a glovebox light for like 30 years. Do you really think they'd add one now?

  11. Why soooooo many screens? Shall we just replace the windshield with a large plasma?!?!? Besides that I like the looks. And they added back the additional door cubbies, No SS???

  12. Speculation of course but I bet it would not only prevent oil from leaking out of the engine as explained here, but probably would prevent any future oil use within the cylinders as well once it gets a chance to work its way through the engine for a few minutes
