Just to let you know: GM told me that if I modify the radio, antenna, or cable in any way that they would void my warranty. My truck is going back in again for the FM issue, my dealer is supposed to be working with GM tech support. GM also stated again that they have no kown issues with FM radio reception.

I don't think GM will correct the problem. I called them several times, they act like my radio is an isolated problem. They claim they have no FM or HD radio issues that they are aware of. I think the only way to fix this issue is to change entire system. Very expensive.

HD radio is not suppose to drop out like it does in the Silverado. I have other vehicles with HD radio and they work perfectly. The Silverado has a FM radio reception and HD radio problems. I have been dealing with dealer and GM about this issue for over 3 months. Nothing happening. I would not have bought this truck if I would have known the FM radio is this bad.

It appears nothing is going to be done about the FM radio reception issue. I have been to dealer a few times, contacted GM and nothing has been done. What a disappointment.

Jennifer, This has been a on-going issue, and nothing has been done yet. My FM radio reception is horrible. Been to dealer a few times, contacted GM, NOTHING happening. There is No way any manufacturer should sell a 2014 vehicle with this kind of FM radio reception, also the HD does not work, goes in and out constantly, probably cause of the reception issue.

Got truck back from dealer today for recall and FM radio rception issue. No fix for FM radio reception. I gave dealer the info about cable and antenna, but GM has not acknolowged that this is a problem. Starting to feel as if I am wasting my time with this issue. This truck has the worst FM reception of any vehicle I have ever owned. I know people say what is FM, etc. But I prefer FM over XM, local news, weather, traffic info.

Non Nav also has HD radio.

The FM reception issue should not happen on a 2014 vehicle. Much older, cheaper and lower grade radio's have better FM reception. I listen to FM always, when my XM expires, I will not renew subscrition. So this is a big deal to me.

My Dealer contacted GM twice on this issue. They are supposedly working on this issue.

I have the non-Bose and non nav radio with horrible FM reception. I have been on my Dealer since the first week after I bought truck about the FM reception issue. I sent my dealer this link I received from another member; I said GM should pay for this item and a new head unit with better FM reception. http://www.pac-audio...8&CategoryID=26 GM's comment to my dealer was "if I make any modifications to the audio system, my warranty would be violated".

My dealer has contacted GM twice about this issue. GM is aware of the FM reception issue and is trying to resolve problem. This is according to my dealer. Hopefully GM will release a TSB if they come up with a fix.

I forwarded this to my dealer, and said GM should pay for this since they can't get the FM reception issue fixed.

Thanks, I see the post.. Will look into this, I believe this is to replace the entire system and still use the factory bluetooth, steering wheel controls, on-star, etc. I will ask dealer.

I have been following the FM reception posts, I have not seen any fix as of yet or products that fixed the issue. I hope you can find that post, cause I could sure use it. My FM reception is horrible, been to the dealer, they contacted GM, dealer said GM is aware of the issue. Thats all the info I got from dealer.

The dealer I purchased my Silverado from contacted GM about the the FM reception, GM stated they are aware of some complaints about FM radio reception and will look into the issue. Hopefully, they will have some type of fix.

I agree, worst FM radio reception of any vehicle I have ever owned. As far as I know, GM did not get this issue resolved.
